- Cycling the Baltic States
The tour was well organized. I felt that a better set of maps would have been useful And maybe even something downloadable to your phone.
- The Epic Alps to Adriatic
Absolutely brilliant tour! Amazing scenery, so much fun. Well executed by James & Alex! ?? highly recommend if you’re up for a good, slightly challenging adventure!
- Great Bike Tour of the Baltics (fully guided from Vilnius to Tallinn 2025)
It was a really interesting and amazing experience especially for me since where I live there are no so many bicycle lanes. Further to this it was amazing to drive in the forest and in the middle of the nature.
What our customers ask about European Bike & Cycling Tours
What are the top cycling routes in Europe for scenery and adventure?
European cycling routes range from coastal paths to mountain trails that connect multiple countries. The Munich to Merano route winds through traditional Bavarian villages and Alpine passes while the Croatian coast lets cyclists hop between islands like Hvar and Korčula. Notable paths include Lahemaa National Park in Estonia where cyclists pedal through forests and ancient bogs. Accommodations along these routes add to the experience with places like the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Garmisch-Partenkirchen offering direct views of Germany's highest peak the Zugspitze.
What type of accommodation can I expect on European bicycle tours?
Cyclists can expect to rest their heads in mid-range hotels and local guesthouses that reflect the region's character. The Lake Constance route features nights at the Lindauer Hof a waterfront hotel on Lindau island while the Alps crossing includes stays at Geneva's Hotel Rotary MGallery. Some routes like the Cycle Romania tour mix traditional guesthouses with standard hotels. A recent traveler noted: "The family owned traditional guest houses were a particular highlight for me especially the first two we stayed in during the Romanian countryside."
What's included in typical European bicycle tour packages?
European bicycle tours typically cover the essentials: lodging daily breakfast bike equipment and luggage transport between stops. The Lake Constance tour provides hybrid bikes route briefings and accommodations at locations like the Parkhotel St. Leonhard. Many itineraries including the Alps crossing cover additional costs such as train tickets cable car rides and entry fees. According to one cyclist: "Our guide Razvan really made this a fantastic trip. Together with our driver Geo he made sure everything ran smoothly with great support and local insights."
How much cultural sightseeing is included in European bicycle tours?
The routes combine active cycling with stops at historical and cultural sites. The Central Europe tour stops at the UNESCO-listed Cesky Krumlov and Budapest's thermal baths. Each day was a good mix of cycling and sightseeing."
When is the best time to go on a bicycle tour in Europe?
Prime cycling weather in Europe extends from April through October with regional variations. Southern Spain's Murcia region works best in spring (March-May) or fall (September-October).
