What people love about Italy Tours in January
- Italian Scene (Winter, 10 Days)
The meals were Good but it would be nice to have other options and not everyone likes the same meals.
- Best of Italy (Winter, 13 Days)
Trafalgar provides not only a tour but the experience of Italy. From our warm welcome in Rome to our departure shuttle to Rome airport, every detail is well planned and provided. The Mercedes coach was clean and comfortable and our driver Fortunato was very skilled as our safety was in his hands. Tour Director Rachel was a wealth of knowledge and an amazing host for every day and event. This was our second visit to Italy and this particular tour allowed us to visit both north and south. Hotels were generally very good for accommodation and food. North American travellers will find the twin beds and some of the breakfasts an adjustment. The weather of this trip was not great but out of Trafalgar control and they made the necessary adjustments. No need for dressy clothes as even the special dinners were ideal with smart casual and comfortable day coach clothes. Good walking shoes are a must for the mostly uneven walkways in Italy. This is not a relaxing form of vacation but rather an organized way to experience the various regions of Italy and the many gems along the way. English was understood and spoken almost everywhere on tour. The optional dinner venues while costly were great fun experiences. The included meals were good if not great. An ideal way to discover a beautiful historic country.
