What people love about Morocco Tours in August
- Totally Morocco Tour from Tangier
As many other reviewers have noted, the first 3 days of this tour were a bit of a challenge. We thought we would be part of a small group tour, but for the first 3 days we were alone, with just emails &/or WhatsApp notifications arriving in the evening telling us what to expect the next day - which we found to be somewhat stressful. To be fair, all of the drivers showed up on time every time, but we still had an unexpected amount of free time each day and no suggestions as to things to do or see. For the first 3 days the driver's keep changing, and truly are just driving you to the various locations, then handing you over to a city guide to tour the various locations (usually just the old towns (medinas)). Once we arrived in Casablanca, and met our driver/guides Zouhir and Lahcine, the tour congealed. Each day they went over the plan and stops for the day, and gave us the information we would need for the next morning each evening. We met our other travel companions, and the tour ran much smoother, and without any undue stress for the duration.
- 6 Days Best of Morocco
The tour route and places we stayed were excellent. Hamid was an excellent driver and took very good care of us. We learned a lot during our six days and feel more seasoned as travelers. Morocco is quite a place!
- Morocco 7 Days Tour From Casablanca
We had a wonderful time on this seven day tour through Morocco. We travelled as a family; two parents and two young children. Just keep in mind that there is a lot of driving involved, and because of that you’ll only get a preview of all that Morocco has to offer. Now we know where to spend more time when we come back. Our driver, Hassan, was caring and professional, and made many accommodations to keep the kids happy. If we saw something we liked during the drives, he did not hesitate to stop for us to explore, and we didn’t mind skipping something on the itinerary if needed. By the end of the trip Hassan was also our family. The Riads offered a unique experience at each destination, and the hosts were always hospitable to their guests. At one of the Riads the entire bath faucet broke, and they found a plumber at midnight who repaired the problem immediately. It was impressive. We were chatting with a host for a while while he played with our kids, and we were taking about some unique Moroccan foods, and the next day for breakfast he had a spread ready with some of those foods for us to enjoy. It was a pleasant surprise. If you decide to go shopping in the main marketplaces, be sure to carry cash, because many stalls and street vendors do not accept credit. You won’t have that issue at most sit-down restaurants and larger storefronts. I would certainly recommend this trip to anyone looking explore Morocco with a limited amount of time.
