What people love about Morocco Tours in November
- 6 Days Best of Morocco
If you’re thinking about visiting Morocco, do yourself a favor and book with Morocco Joy! My sibling and I just got back from a 7 day tour from Chefchouen to Marrakech with Said and Hamid and it was absolutely incredible. It ended up just being the two of us on our tour and we had the best time with these guys. We don’t know what we will do the next few days on our own in Marrakesh without Hamid to drive us and manage our luggage and crack his jokes, or Said to explain local customs and culture and answer all our questions. He is so kind and professional and knows everything it seems about his beautiful country. We were so lucky to get to spend the last week with them. We had originally booked a large group tour with one of those large tour companies, but I’m so glad we found Morocco Joy and booked with them instead. Everyone goes the same route to pretty much the same places, but having a small group makes the experience so much more personal and flexible. Before heading to Fes we decided we wanted to go hiking up the river nearby to Chefchouen to God’s Bridge, instead of visiting Volubilis, which was no problem. We also added an extra hike in the Dades Valley through the Monkey Fingers canyon before heading to Marrakech. Which we couldn’t have done in a large group. Our favorite day was the day we added to the 6 day tour so we could spend a full day in the desert. Do this if you can! We rode on a jeep through the dunes to visit a local nomad village, and other local villages. And got to spend another sunset in the Erg Chebbi dunes soaking up the magic of the desert. Another highlight was all the really cool places we stayed. We are so glad we upgraded to the luxury camp in the desert because it was so luxurious and amazing! And had the most comfortable beds of the whole trip. I kept expecting to be let down by the next place we stayed but they just kept getting better and better! Each with their own unique thing that made them special. Morocco itself is amazing but the thing that made our trip spectacular was touring the country with Hamid and Said and Morocco Joy Travel. I also can’t believe the value the tour provided for the price. They took care of everything for us and we felt like VIP customers traveling on an economy budget. It was an experience of a lifetime and we are so grateful to everyone at Morocco Joy for making it happen!
- Morocco 7 Days Tour From Casablanca
Our driver Abdou was the best.
- Totally Morocco Tour from Tangier
Although we were initially unaware that we were to have many different guides and drivers throughout our tour, once we questioned it and it was explained to us, then it worked well. The communication and prompt responses from admin were much appreciated. Special mention to our guide into the Atlas/Sahara region for five days, Tariq, and driver, Ismail. Also our Fez guide, Said, plus our Ait Ben Haddou guide, Baba (we think that was his name) were fantastic. Thanks to all concerned for a great trip ??

What is the weather like in Morocco during November?
November brings comfortable temperatures across Morocco with Marrakech seeing daily highs of 20-25°C (68-77°F). The weather creates good conditions for walking through the medinas of Fes and wandering the streets of Chefchaouen. As one traveler noted "November was perfect for exploring the blue streets of Chefchaouen without the intense heat of summer." Desert regions like Merzouga experience significant temperature swings with nighttime lows reaching 5°C (41°F).
Are there any special events or festivals in Morocco during November?
The country comes alive with celebrations during November particularly around Independence Day on the 18th. Cities like Rabat and Casablanca host the main festivities. A TourRadar traveler shared "During our November visit we experienced amazing traditional music and dance performances at Hotel Royal Mirage in Fes during the independence celebrations." Local food festivals pop up across Marrakech offering visitors a chance to try authentic Moroccan dishes.
How much should I budget for a Morocco trip in November?
Daily costs in November average 125-150 USD covering accommodations and select meals. A week-long tour typically runs about 900 USD per person based on TourRadar booking data. One traveler reported "Our November tour including stays at Hotel Dellarosa Boutique in Marrakech and desert camping in Merzouga offered excellent value for money." Budget an extra 30-50 USD for entrance fees plus any optional activities.
What are the best day trips to take in Morocco during November?
The mild November weather opens up excellent day trip possibilities. Popular excursions include the Roman ruins of Volubilis from Fes and ventures into the Atlas Mountains from Marrakech. According to one traveler "We took a day trip to Ait Benhaddou from our base at Hotel Labranda Rose Marrakech - November's clear skies made for spectacular photos of the kasbah." The blue city of Chefchaouen makes an ideal day trip from either Tangier or Fes.
How busy are the major tourist sites in Morocco during November?
Tourist numbers drop noticeably in November compared to the summer peak of July-August. This means more space to explore key sites like Volubilis ruins Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and the Fez medina. Accommodations such as Riad Jeanne in Fez and Riad Dar Soukaina in Marrakech have better availability. One visitor shared: "We loved visiting in November - the main attractions were much less crowded and we could really take our time exploring."
How should I pack for Morocco in November?
The varied November climate calls for versatile packing. Bring light clothes for daytime activities in Marrakech and Fes plus warm layers for evenings especially in the Sahara Desert. A TourRadar traveler advised "During our November stay at the Merzouga Luxury Camp temperatures dropped significantly at night - warm clothing was essential." Include a light raincoat for possible showers particularly in northern areas near Chefchaouen.
