    The hotels were better than I expected: the guides and driver were superb. The itinerary was good but some days we spent many hours in the bus. I arrived 2 days before the tour started and was disappointed they could not extend my hotel stay, which should have been easy for them, nor give me a transfer the day I arrived, for which I could have paid extra.

    "Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Just needed more hill climbing training. Being on the older side of things I would have been better off using an e bike but find they are too bulky. I preferred the lighter non electric bikes for maneuvering.

    "There were a lot of wonderful sites, temples, castles and gardens to view. Bus ride between places can be a bit long (2-4 hours). Would love to have spent more time in Kyoto, especially on our own. Could have done without seeing the festival floats. They were nice for the first 10 minutes, but didn't warrant the 1 hour to view all of the floats' mechanical movements. Description says there is a lot of walking, but didn't say that that would include steep embankments and lots of stairs. Overall a wonderful overview of Japan and Japanese culture. Would recommend to anyone even remotely interested in going to Japan.

    "The 14 days Japan tour with our tourguide Evie was just amazing. Evie was a excellent guide. She always smiles even though it is early in the morning, she sends the itinarery with all times and places in advance and also gives many tips for restaurants etc. Her Evie-isms also made us often laugh and every day again and again. She always was a sunshine in our tour and a excellent tourguide who made this tour very special. What I really appreciated was a really good balance between different activities, exploring the cities and free time to do whatever you like. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Evie!
