    Loved every step. Great experience with excellent guide, hotels, restaurants and of course, the spectacular Camino. I really appreciate the way the tour started before the last 100 km (where there are lots of people) because we trekked through beautiful quiet villages, long stretches of nature and it was a chance to feel like a real pilgrim with plenty of contemplative time, challenging hills to dig deep inside.

    Before I arrived on this tour I thought my highlights would be Barcelona and San Sebastian but honestly, I enjoyed every moment of the holiday! The food and drink in this region is excellent and relatively cheap compared to the UK. You don't spend much time on the tour at the start in Barcelona or at the end in Madrid so I would recommend booking at least an extra night pre/post tour to be able to both great cities. Pamplona has a nice historical old town with some nice walks. San Sebastian is just the place to go to for foodies but is also a nice place in its own right! Logrono is the capital of the La Rioja region so you know you'll get to taste some good wine. I will definitely be coming back to this region! For the tour overall, I felt that we didn't really need 2 nights in Logrono and could have done with either an extra night in San Sebastian to visit Bilbao or a night in Bilbao itself. And that's taking into account the included evening tour of Logrono and the winery tour activities. Beware the 4hr + coach journey from Logrono to Madrid. Our tour leader, Maria Christina did a great job considering that she had to take over at short notice. She organised all our public transport and organised the optional meals, selecting some very decent restaurants. I definitely think she made the trip more enjoyable! I had great fun on this trip and hopefully have made some good friends for life!

    My trip to Spain which I booked through TourRadar was Wonderful. The tour was definitely as advertised, The bus was comfortable and had Wi-Fi. The people on my tour were great. I was traveling alone, and they were friendly and kind. I met a lot of wonderful people. We did see all of the highlights of all of the magnificent cities on our tour. The hotels were for the most part very nice, definitely four-star. A couple in the smaller towns were just ok. Our driver, Jaime was very efficient and friendly. By far and away the absolute best part of my trip was my tour guide, Carmen. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Her English was excellent. She knew so much about everywhere we went. No matter what came up, Carmen was unflappable. She knew what to do in every circumstance. I also felt as if there was nothing that she wouldn't do for her tour members. In fact, when a bike race closed the streets in Madrid and our tour bus could not make it back to our final destination hotel, she took the last three of us on the Metro in Madrid and literally carried my bag down the Metro steps and paid my fare to make sure that I got where I needed to be. (She was even kind enough to overlook the fact that I reacted like a toddler at the inconvenience.) In short, my trip was wonderful! I would book with TourRadar/DestinationServicesSpain/Julia again!     "We liked the itinerary. I wish the guides who accompanied us would have given us more information on the places we visited. The guides relied mostly on the local guides who gave us a short tour in some places. We were given very small bedrooms in Madrid, Porto and Lisbon.

    "Good morning, Thanks for asking to our experience during the tour. In general it was good. The things were good: The driver was helpful, gentleman and offer his help all the time The order of travel between the cities was organized and comfortable. The hotels were good and clean Things to be improved: The time of gathering on the first day at the VPT office was not precise (time given to us was 07:45, but the office opened& the staff came at 08:30) and the driver came at 09:30 The bus was old, noisy and uncomfortable during the trip No wifi (internet) available in the bus during the tour, The driver offer us his wifi from his mobile phone. The variety of foods in lunch and dinners were limited and no options, some tourists are vegetarian and others are Muslims and have their meals. The local guides were helpful and tried to give us the valuable information but their English language was not good and some information was missing. The tour in some cities was short and not precious and short like Granada, Cordoba. We missed a lot of important things like the old city of Cordoba (Alzahrra), Lions Fontaine in Nasser palace in Granada… etc. In general the tour was good and thank you for your services. Regards.
