What people love about Dalmatia Tours
- Sailing Croatia - Dubrovnik to Split
GAdventures with Niko from beautiful Dubrovnik to incredible Split Aust 2015. Niko was welcoming ; he sorted out one client's problem on arrival when he thought he'd booked a racing sailing trip, rather than a sailing jaunt for non sailors. Niko calmly arranged for this dissatisfied man to get another trip without us realising the drama. He guided us learners on the high seas, took us to great local restaurants , even arranged an engagement cake when 2guys announced their engagement on the boat. Niko went out of his way to get me to a hospital in Korcula when I was sick with infection and we were able to sail off again in time. He was a gentle informative authentic guy who made the trip fun and amazing! Thanks Niko!

Local customers consistently praise Laganini Tours for cycling trips through Dalmatia, with particular love for owner Tonci who knows every hidden corner of the region and makes sure you're staying in quality hotels and eating excellent meals. If you need a more budget-conscious choice, G Adventures runs a great sailing route from Dubrovnik to Split - their skipper Marin gets lots of mentions from our travelers for sharing fascinating local stories and finding those special spots most tourists miss. Intro Travel's Croatia Sail Adventure is another solid pick, especially if you want a well-planned itinerary. Tour leader Anna gets glowing feedback for making everyone feel part of the group and helping create genuine Croatian experiences. For those interested in a proper cruise, Katarina Line stands out - their ships are well-maintained and the crew runs a tight ship, quite literally. Nature Trips delivers good experiences too, though some of our clients mention occasional schedule mix-ups, but they say the overall journey more than makes up for any small hiccups. These companies really understand what makes Croatia special - they'll get you to the right places and introduce you to local culture without making it feel too touristy or rushed. The guides take pride in showing you their home country, and it shows in how they work.

"This is a difficult review to write. The actual cruise with Katarina Cruise Line on the Fantazija was a 10/10. It was an excellent introduction to such a beautiful country. The crew on the boat were very personable and attentive. Filip, the Crew Manager was definitely a 20/10. He did everything he could to make the trip a memorable experience, especially when the boat had to stay in Dubrovnik for two nights because of the rough seas. He made sure we barely noticed the difference. Our room in the lower deck was large and very comfortable. With a max of 38 travelers, we had the opportunity to get to know several guests. We stayed 3 additional nights at the Plazza Heritage Hotel in the Split Historic District, which was a real treat. And now for the not so good part. Nature Trips gets a 2/10. Omar didn't communicate well. I had to actually call Tour Radar twice to get him to respond to my concerns. I discovered that 3 additional nights in Split were done through Expedia. Nature Trips over charged by more than $1,000. I had to go through Tour Radar to get him to realize what had happened as he was not responding to my message. On the plus side, he did respond to have the voucher ready early as we were first going to Turkey. On Oct. 12, the airport transfer was to pick us up at 3:30 a.m. The voucher only said the driver would wait for us with our name on a sign. The only problem is that the driver couldn't drive into the historic district. We had no idea where to meet him. I sent Omar a message asking him to confirm the transfer and where we should meet the driver. As usual, Omar didn't respond. The contact number printed on the voucher was missing a number. I finally found a number to find out it was no longer in service. Two receptionists at the hotel tried their best to contact someone with negative results. At 3:40 a.m. the night receptionist walked with us to where we could catch a taxi to the airport. I have sent Omar another message explaining what we had to do and that I expect him to credit us back the 50 euros it cost to take the taxi, as the airport transfer was included. Naturally, I've heard nothing back. I shall have to call Tour Radar once again. In conclusion, if I had this to do again, I would book directly with Katarina Line, Plazza Heritage Hotel, and arrange for airport transfers. I choose to book through a tour agent to receive personal attention while traveling. Nature Trips failed on this account. We had a 20/10 experience with Iglesias Tours in Turkey, so this was a big let down.

- Spring 2025
Spring cycling along the Dalmatian coast really comes into its own during May when the temperature hits that sweet spot for longer rides. Our cyclists love following old Roman roads on Hvar before heading down quiet coastal routes to Jelsa. If you prefer a gentler pace, our sailing tours connect Split to Dubrovnik with plenty of quiet bays for swimming stops along the way. The spring months are perfect for diving into culture too - you'll find fewer people at UNESCO sites like Diocletian's Palace and Korčula's old town, giving you space to really explore. Walking tours blend city visits with national parks, and Plitvice Lakes puts on quite a show in spring when the waterfalls run full force. For cyclists looking for a challenge, we've got support vehicles backing up those uphill climbs, so you can tackle those viewpoints at whatever pace works for you.
