The comfortable accommodations nestled in the countryside where you could hear the birds (and roosters!) each morning made you feel relaxed as though you were at a retreat! The fabulous outdoor pool also helped with that aspect! The host family were all so warm and inviting and loved to share about their family history and their culture. They lovingly prepared our meals with fresh produce right out of their garden across the street and had us sample all of their homemade liquors and wine. There was an excellent mix of downtime and activity. I came home feeling I had learned so much about the Croatian culture.
