What people love about Vietnam Tours
- Vietnam Best Deal In 10 Days
This Vietnam journey was excellent from start to finish - experiencing so many islands, tastes, and cultural landmarks - in just 10 days was magical. I was inspired by the Vietnamese people's courage, determination, and persistence. I also fell in love with Vietnamese food, it was really delicious, and I almost ate Pho almost every day ?

- 10 DAYS CULTURAL ODYSSEY FROM SOUTH TO NORTH VIETNAM
What an amazing holiday! This truly is the way to see a new country, with experienced guides who are so proud of their beautiful country and so willing to share of themselves and their way of life. All our guides (Lam in Ho Chi Minh City, Minh in Hoi An and Duc in Ha Noi) spoke excellent English, and made the trips so much fun. Learning about another culture in such a short time is difficult but they made this easy. The tour was very well organised, from the moment we arrived in HCMC to the day we finished the tour. Accommodation was excellent, food was magnificent and they were able to cater for seafood allergies easily. I will definitely use this service again and highly recommend this for anyone travelling to Vietnam or nearby countries (Laos and Cambodia).

The landscapes and experiences of Southern Vietnam weave together water, culture and layers of history in fascinating ways. Limestone cliffs rise from Halong Bay's waters, where travelers join overnight cruises to kayak hidden lagoons, swim in clear green waters and explore mysterious caves. Life moves at its own pace in the Mekong Delta - our guests particularly enjoy the early floating markets, gliding through narrow canals by sampan boat and meeting families who've shared these waterways across generations. In Hoi An, the old merchant quarter still draws people in with its ochre-colored trading houses, bicycle rides past rice paddies, cooking classes and traditional shows under lantern-lit streets at night. Near Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels give visitors real perspective on Vietnam's complex wartime history through firsthand exploration of the underground network.
See all Southern Vietnam toursNorthern Vietnam blends cultural richness with natural beauty in a way that really connects with our travelers. You can share meals with Nung families during homestays near Ba Be Lake, while Hanoi reveals its character through Old Quarter rickshaw rides past French buildings and busy street markets. Ha Long Bay's limestone peaks create quite a sight in the early morning when mist wraps around the rocks. Up in Sapa, the rice terraces offer excellent hiking paths where local hill tribes welcome visitors to their villages and markets full of handwoven textiles and traditional crafts. The sweet spot for visiting falls between October and December - you get clear skies, comfortable temps and great photo conditions. March and April work nicely too, though light rain can add something special to those limestone landscapes.
See all Northern Vietnam toursThe limestone peaks and emerald waters of Halong Bay create Vietnam's most photographed seascape - and it's easy to see why our customers rate their cruise experience here as their Vietnam trip highlight. You'll find scattered islands concealing hidden caves and calm lagoons that are perfect for kayaking, plus protected coves ideal for a refreshing swim. Tours typically include exploring the vast Sung Sot Cave, starting your day with tai chi on deck and picking up some local cooking skills during onboard demonstrations. The real magic happens during small-group kayaking between those dramatic karst formations and quiet evenings watching the sun dip behind the peaks from your private cabin balcony. Early morning brings something special too - misty views as light fog wraps around the limestone islands, creating the kind of scenes photographers love to capture. Winter visitors from December through February get an extra treat, with clearer visibility offering the most dramatic bay views, despite cooler temperatures.
See all Halong Bay toursCruise through the Mekong Delta's enchanting waterways on a classic sampan boat. Explore lively floating markets, savor local treats in charming villages, soak in the lush green rice paddies, and admire stunning ancient temples.

"I joined Rhi for the Ultimate South East Asia tour earlier this year and it was by far the best Contiki I've ever been on, specifically because of how incredible she was as a TM! I got to really immerse myself in every city we stopped in because she had such wonderful local knowledge and recommendations to share. She made everyone on the group feel welcome and safe, and we could not have asked for a better person to spend the month with. I wish Rhi could lead every tour I go on!

Best places to start your Vietnam tour
Our data shows Hanoi is the top choice for starting tours - 67 travelers began there recently, while 28 kicked off from Ho Chi Minh City. Da Nang and Hoi An aren't as common for tour starts but they're packed with great experiences. Most of our customers book about 3.5 months ahead, which works well for getting good options while making sure spots are still open in peak season. They love diving into the local coffee scene, visiting traditional craft workshops and connecting with families through homestays. Some of our most memorable feedback comes from travelers who've explored organic farming communities and spent time with local families away from tourist spots. For photos, you can't beat Sapa's morning markets and misty mountain scenes - they really capture Vietnam's old-world charm.

Many young travelers tell us the Pu Luong National Park portion stands out - you'll trek to hidden waterfalls, try bamboo rafting and stay in authentic homestays. The night train journeys add adventure while saving on accommodation, and the Ha Long Bay overnight cruise includes opportunities for kayaking, swimming and also joining the crew for squid fishing. Young travelers especially appreciate the balance of organized activities and free time to explore vibrant spots like Hoi An's night markets.
For families exploring Vietnam, our most popular tours blend education with fun activities everyone can enjoy. Our travelers consistently praise the 7-destination family route that includes kayaking in Ha Long Bay and hands-on cooking classes where kids learn to make traditional dishes.
