What people love about Pacific Tours
- Hawaiian Explorer (8 Days)
Fantastic trip through out O'AHU, MAUI and HAWAII. Our guide Michael Murakami, #Trafalgar, was informative, funny and always on point. We started, my husband and I, in Wakiki Beach than Pearl Harbor and a visit through town looking at the King's palace, Parliament building and Chinatown. Off we went to Hawai to visit Kona Joe coffee plantation. I took an helicopter ride to see Hawai's volcanoes and rain forest and my husband went snorkeling at Captain Cook cove. Both excursions were terrific. Than we went to see Panaluu black sand beach and made a quick visit to an orchid farm. More snorkeling with the giant Manta Rays and memorable sunset on the beach took place in between all these excursions. In Maui, we visited O'o Farm, an organic farm 3000 feets high and had the most delicious meal cooked right on site by their chef in his authentic brick oven. Off to a sunset cruise and swimming with green sea turtles. We saw quite a show whales watching. The giant sea creatures jumped out of the pacific ocean. Its not Hawaii without a Luau and we had a lot of fun being entertained by the talented dancers. Aloha Hawaii!! We will be back.
- Hawaiian Explorer (8 Days)
The tour was much better than I expected as I hadn’t done a group tour for years. Robert was on the ball and gave us excellent tips and advice and kept us moving so we were all timely. The accommodation was great (I should have paid extra and had an ocean view - didn’t realise it was an option) and the organized meals were fine.
- Hawaiian Explorer (8 Days)
Fun trip, Trafalgar tour guide and health director did a wonderful job guiding and managing the trip. Oahu / Honolulu is way too crowded and busy, Waikiki beach was fun. Restaurants moving to 50% occupancy was a drag, but it’s a COVID world we live in now. All in all good experience.

"My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our anniversary and we had such an amazing time! Diego, our travel coordinator was very friendly and helpful, always keeping us on track and there to answer any questions we had. The Ilatoa Lodge is a hidden gem. Marcello and family were so welcoming and kind, and happy to help coordinate anything we needed. Enjoy your morning coffee enjoying the magical landscape and beautiful humming birds that frequent the garden. Bring a lot of cash with you. Almost everywhere in Santa Cruz takes credit cards, but vendors will typically upcharge for usage. When you get to Isabela - everywhere is CASH ONLY - we could not find a single place that took cards. There are ATMs, but they are not reliable so don't depend on being able to use them. Make sure you bring more sunscreen than you think you will need. You can buy more at any of the pharmacies once you get to the Galapagos, but it will be much more expensive so come prepared. Hats and sunglasses are a must. I also highly recommend a wetsuit or a rash guard shirt for snorkeling as the water can be chilly! Wet suits can typically be rented on town. Some other helpful tip: - On Day 2 (when you arrive to the Galapagos) - if you get the chance to drop your bags off at the hotel prior to going to the Darwin Center - DO IT. You will have to walk about a mile each way, so you don't want anything heavy with you. - Eat at the Santa Cruz Brewery and 1835 on Santa Cruz. The food was amazing. - For the beach day -- the hike to the beach is a HIKE. It is about 45 mins over an uneven so wear comfortable shoes. cobblestone path

"Iorana! Very good 5 day tour of Rapa Nui with fascinating excursions by van of some archaeological sites all over the island, and a well situated, pleasant stay at Hotel Taha Tai. The hotel receptionist greeted us with 2 free drinks (non alcohol) at their restaurant, which includes a fabulous daily full breakfast buffet. We really enjoyed walking along the scenic shoreline route into Hanga Roa every day to explore the charming town, three ahu platforms (with moai), and two mercados artesania. Local tour company Mahinatur employees were organized, competent and friendly with a lovely flower lei greeting at their small airport, and also a farewell moai necklace upon departure. Our tour guide Luis had the challenging job of lecturing about their extensive history and culture in both English and Spanish. Only recommendation for a better tour would be information that the cave tour Ana Te Pahu is a long walk on rocky, dirt roads, plus quite dark in the cave. Small flashlights for the tourists would have been helpful. Overall, we found the local people friendly and welcoming of tourists, and we really enjoyed our visit to this remote, Polynesian island.
