Antarctica was amazing, absolutely breath taking scenery, fantastic activities and the comfort of a "floating hotel" . The lecturers were very passionate and eager to share their knowledge. They were always around and very approachable. The activities were well balanced and flexible, with helpful staf looking after us all the time. The Zodiacs took us round awesome icebergs and wild life. We had a "whale" of a time watching six whales doing a synchronised performance! I must mention just a couple moe of my adventures. Before my Antarctica expedition, I was trekking in Nepal, another memorable adventure, trekking round Anapurna, just before the earthquake! Gadventure were absolutely fantastic in dealing with a very difficult situation after the earthquake. The CEO, great guid, became a great problem solving individual, dealing with all our new travelling arrangements. I never felt worried or insecure.Gadventures were very professional in looking after us giving us all the support that we needed. In both cases I was traveling solo. Before that adventure I visited the Galápagos Islands with my husband. Another unforgettable experience. The knowledge of their CEOs are second to none. They are well trained and have passion for what they do, i am now planning my next adventure - revisit Nepal and go to Tibet from Katmandu. Accurate description of their tours, fantastic "meet and greet" service, punctual transfers, all staff extremely friendly and helpful at all times. I would highly recommend Gadventures, I already did several times.

FANtastic, very FANtastic

I like the tour overall but I think there are some room for improvement. 1. Please clearly state our hotel and logistics information before we departure. I did not see my hotel name and address before I get on my flight so I had to contact the agent to clarify. 2. Please consider age and nationally when you assign room. You can ask whether the passage has a preferences. Young people would like to play with young people. Senior has more topic to talk to senior. Specially senior people snoring so badly. 3. Please let people meetup together before we go to the room so it will be fair for everyone to get the bed. Some people took advantage on being arrived early so they occupied a lot room and space. It is so unfair to the people who went to room late (because of bus arrangement)

Machu Picchu stands as the crowning jewel of Andean experiences, where our travelers consistently tell us that photographs simply can't capture its true scale and majesty. The ancient Inca citadel reveals itself differently throughout the day as clouds drift past, creating an almost mystical atmosphere that leaves visitors spellbound. The Inca Trail journey itself has become legendary among our customers - it's a genuine mountain adventure with challenging ascents, ancient stone pathways and nights spent camping under star-filled skies. Our guides, who share deep knowledge of Inca history and local ecology, have earned particular praise for turning what could be just a tough trek into an enriching cultural experience. Travelers often describe how the changing ecosystems along the trail, from cloud forests to alpine grasslands, create a sense of walking through multiple worlds in just a few days.
See all Andes Mountains toursThe raw magnificence of Patagonia unfolds along Torres del Paine's challenging trails, where our travelers consistently tell us the demanding hikes become their trip highlights. Mount Fitz Roy rises boldly above El Chalten, while Perito Moreno Glacier creates quite a spectacle with its massive ice blocks breaking into the waters below. Many of our clients connect day hikes to Laguna de los Tres and Laguna Torre, capturing amazing shots of clear alpine lakes with sharp peaks looming behind them. Getting up close to towering ice walls has become a must-do experience, with glacier boat trips letting you hear the ancient ice crack and move right in front of you. The region's wild residents make frequent appearances - you might spot guanacos grazing, Andean condors soaring overhead and if you're lucky, catch glimpses of pumas, especially during quieter periods in November and March.

El Chaltén is where serious hiking in Patagonia really comes into its own. The 5-day Mountain Escape trek takes you deep into Lenga forests and up to Laguna de los Tres, putting you right in front of Mount Fitz Roy. More experienced hikers can tackle multi-day routes across the River Túnel Valley and climb to Viento Pass - one of the few spots where you can see the Southern Ice Field. If you're short on time, the 3-day El Chaltén programs still let you reach Cerro Torre's viewpoints and spend nights camping next to lagoons dotted with icebergs. Our travelers often tell us how much they appreciate the local guides who really know their stuff about weather patterns, safe routes and local wildlife.
See all Hiking & Trekking toursArgentina's diverse regions offer plenty for active travelers to dig into. You can combine Buenos Aires, Bariloche and El Calafate in one trip - paddle kayaks on Río de las Vueltas and walk the Cerro Campanario trails for some of the best lake views around. Another solid route links Buenos Aires with Iguazú and also El Calafate, where you get to experience both tropical waterfalls and glacier landscapes. For those who like their wine but want to keep moving, tours through Buenos Aires, Salta and also Mendoza mix city walks with vineyard visits and hikes through the colorful rock formations of Humahuaca Gorge. Our customers really value having free time built in so they can explore on their own schedule.

You'll have good flexibility to pick your daily routes, following well-marked trails to spots like Laguna de los Tres and the Cerro Torre lookouts. Our travelers often mention how their guides share deep local knowledge about wildlife, geography and glacier formations while keeping groups intimate enough to really take in the surroundings. Some tours let you zip-line across the Fitz Roy River and set up camp near crystal-clear alpine lakes.

Say Hueque gets mixed feedback for their Patagonia trips - while they're good at organizing tours and quick to respond, some people noticed the quality varied depending on which local guides they used. A few travelers mentioned their actual trips didn't quite match what was planned. Over at Unu Raymi, their El Chalten treks are getting really positive comments on TourRadar, especially about three guides - Pedro, Miguel and also Luis. These guides know their stuff, from helping people tackle tough trails to sharing interesting stories about local culture and history. There's just one note of caution from a group who did a longer trek - they ran into some scheduling hiccups and weren't too impressed with the food. It's a good reminder that even well-rated companies need to stay on top of the details and keep everyone in the loop about what to expect. The main takeaway is that while both companies have their strong points, Unu Raymi seems to have an edge with their guides in El Chalten right now. Just make sure you get all the specifics about your route, meals and daily schedule before you go.

"My first time in South America traveling alone, I was lost between all the different options for the tours online. I came on UnuRaymi’s website by accident and wrote to them on WhatsApp. They were incredibly responsive and took the time to structure the perfect tour for me. Starting at Lima, all the way to Cusco, the rainbow mountain, the amazon jungle and Machu Picchu, I felt very well taken care of and I would recommend them to anyone trying to travel to Peru !

"LORENZO!: The Man. The Guide. THE LEGEND! Great guide, though he didn’t have to do much on this trip b/c the itinerary is pretty sparse (not guides fault). Be warned, the only real planned activities on this sparse itinerary are at Iguazu Falls & at the ranch in Uruguay. Don’t be fooled by the Buenos Aires & Rio de Janeiro on the itinerary, these are merely entrance and exit spots for their airports. There are no appreciable planned activities, tours or sightseeing. If you want to see these two major cities, and all they have to offer, you will definitely need to plan extra time on either end of your trip and do it on your own. Although there can be some benefit to a free and open unplanned itinerary, I found it very inefficient as the majority party (same Country members of your group) decides what you do, and I would’ve spent my time very differently if I had the choice. Also, there are nowhere near the number of included breakfast in the itinerary, as most days you are leaving before breakfast is provided, I think maybe we got three or four breakfasts. Overall, hit some high spots if you include time on either end on your own, but not a packed and planned itinerary like other intrepid tours I have been on.

Best places to start your Argentina tour
Most of our Argentina tours kick off from Buenos Aires, with 41 travelers choosing the capital as their starting point. El Calafate draws 14 travelers and Ushuaia brings in 13, especially for those focused on Patagonia, while Salta and Mendoza see smaller numbers of people exploring wine country and the northern regions. Speaking of wine, Mendoza's vineyards offer excellent Malbec tastings with the Andes as your backdrop - September through April is prime time for vineyard visits. Looking at our booking data, you'll want to lock in your tour about 55 days before you plan to go to get the dates and itinerary you're after. If you're hitting multiple spots, internal flights can save time, though many of our travelers mix flights with scenic bus rides to really see the country.
Discover Argentina tours for every budget
Our budget-friendly Patagonia tours pack the main highlights into 4-5 day trips that won't strain your wallet. When you're in El Calafate, you'll get a full day exploring Perito Moreno Glacier and a boat ride on Rico Lake to see those massive ice walls up close. Over in El Chalten, we keep things simple with comfortable lodging and well-marked trails you can tackle at your own speed. Our customers really like having those free days to pick their own hiking routes. Up north in Salta and Jujuy, the budget tours take you through the painted hills of Humahuaca Gorge and along old Inca trails. We've included traditional peña evenings too, where you can dig into local food and listen to regional music without spending too much.
The Northwest Argentina luxury trips really deliver with 7-day journeys through Calchaquí Valley, staying in quality 4-star hotels along the way. You'll explore old pre-Inca sites and taste wines at both small family operations and large wineries in Cafayate. Down in Antarctica, our 13-day luxury expeditions use ice-strengthened ships with expert guides who know every penguin colony, seal spot and whale watching area. Our travelers often tell us how much they appreciate the expedition team's deep knowledge and the excellent meals onboard. Between zodiac landings, you can relax in comfortable lounges or join lectures about Antarctic wildlife and history. The captains keep things flexible too, adjusting the route based on weather and where the wildlife is active.

Week-long Argentina tours follow three main routes. The Buenos Aires-Iguazu option kicks off in the capital with tango performances and neighborhood exploration before heading north to see both sides of the falls. Up in the northwest, the Salta route moves from colonial architecture into high-altitude wine country at Cafayate, then continues to the salt flats and Seven Colors Hill in Purmamarca. Down south, the Patagonia journey connects El Calafate with El Chalten, mixing glacier visits and guided hiking - our travelers really appreciate those early morning starts that help avoid the crowds at Perito Moreno.

See all toursTen days gives you room to really explore each stop. The Buenos Aires-Iguazu-Calafate route starts with city life and tango culture, then flies north for two full days exploring the falls from both countries. The final Patagonia segment covers Perito Moreno Glacier and includes free time around El Calafate. Another popular choice swaps Iguazu for Bariloche, adding the Lake District's Circuito Chico and an optional Seven Lakes trip. Our customers especially value those built-in free days - perfect for adjusting plans around weather and energy levels.

On our Antarctica Classic voyage, solo travelers quickly find their groove - even in shared quad cabins, you'll spot new friends watching for whales from the deck or joining the daily science talks. Our expedition team makes a point to learn names and create the right social mix where you can join group activities or do your own thing. The Mountain Escape tours around El Chalten work really well for independent travelers; guides Pedro and Miguel are particularly good at reading the group and offering extra support on the trickier trail sections. Over at Perito Moreno Glacier, the tours balance guided information with plenty of time to explore the viewing platforms solo, which our individual travelers really appreciate.
Our active Patagonia programs hit the sweet spot for younger travelers looking for real outdoor challenges and authentic local experiences. The El Chalten multi-day treks test your legs on routes like the climb to Laguna de los Tres, with guides keeping everyone safe on the technical bits. Many guests tell us kayaking the Río de las Vueltas with Fitz Roy towering above was a highlight - it's a totally different way to see the landscape. The Buenos Aires to Patagonia combinations start in the city with tango and end in wild nature; guides Joaquin and Luis are experts at matching the pace to the group's energy. We've built in free days so you can add extra hikes, try horseback riding or hang out in El Calafate's local cafes.

- Spring 2025
Spring brings Patagonia to life with wildflowers popping up along the trails. Our most popular trips combine El Calafate's glacier visits with hiking in El Chaltén. The spring weather makes longer walks much more pleasant - especially that full-day trek to Laguna de los Tres where Fitz Roy's peaks mirror perfectly in the newly thawed lakes. Camping gets more comfortable too, and many of our travelers go for 3-day routes with nights at Campamento Poincenot and near Laguna Torre. Spring's also great for spotting local wildlife, which becomes more active as temperatures rise.

Fall creates perfect conditions for our more technical Patagonian routes. You can trek through the Valley of Madre and Hija lagoons and up to Viento Pass - the cooler temperatures actually help with those long climbs, and you'll see the Lenga forests changing color. Our autumn multi-day trips include some exciting moments like crossing Fitz Roy River by zip line and camping at Laguna Toro. The clear fall nights there are fantastic for stargazing. If you want something less demanding, try the Pliegue Tumbado day hikes - you'll get great views of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre without needing technical climbing skills.

Winter tours in Argentina open up a different side of Patagonia. Our El Chaltén trips take you through snow-covered Lenga forests on the way to Laguna de los Tres, with experienced guides leading the way. You'll need proper winter gear and crampons - it's real mountain territory after all. We make safety a priority with mountain rescue staff joining these expeditions, and our camps are fully set up for winter conditions. If you're looking for something lighter, the Perito Moreno Glacier walks are excellent in winter - the cold air makes the ice formations extra sharp and clear, plus you'll have more space on the viewing platforms since most tourists come in warmer months.
