All went smooth no troubles
- by karl beterTo see Antarctica was an unbelievable experience and being taken to experiences that weren’t planned and extra was really special. The crew were all mostly very nice and the service on board very good. The cabin was great and what I saw I will never forget. The military operation of the landings left a somewhat negative impression but I don’t know how you could do it differently. Maybe not so direct and aggressive. At times there was a mismatch between the crew and the passengers. I witnessed a passenger struggling to board a zodiac and the crew member not helping until told and responding with ‚well you should be fit‘ for such a trip. Really. The landings fitted the military aspect where a more hands on guided approach would be more informative. Also the party aspect of the ship doesn’t really match my idea of an Antarctica expedition but I guess that’s life. But I got more than I wanted out of the trip and you can’t say more than that. Thank you.

LORENZO!: The Man. The Guide. THE LEGEND! Great guide, though he didn’t have to do much on this trip b/c the itinerary is pretty sparse (not guides fault). Be warned, the only real planned activities on this sparse itinerary are at Iguazu Falls & at the ranch in Uruguay. Don’t be fooled by the Buenos Aires & Rio de Janeiro on the itinerary, these are merely entrance and exit spots for their airports. There are no appreciable planned activities, tours or sightseeing. If you want to see these two major cities, and all they have to offer, you will definitely need to plan extra time on either end of your trip and do it on your own. Although there can be some benefit to a free and open unplanned itinerary, I found it very inefficient as the majority party (same Country members of your group) decides what you do, and I would’ve spent my time very differently if I had the choice. Also, there are nowhere near the number of included breakfast in the itinerary, as most days you are leaving before breakfast is provided, I think maybe we got three or four breakfasts. Overall, hit some high spots if you include time on either end on your own, but not a packed and planned itinerary like other intrepid tours I have been on.
- by Dana JesserGreat experience! The tour guide Lorenzo was the best with high positive attitude and immense customer service

My first time in South America traveling alone, I was lost between all the different options for the tours online. I came on UnuRaymi’s website by accident and wrote to them on WhatsApp. They were incredibly responsive and took the time to structure the perfect tour for me. Starting at Lima, all the way to Cusco, the rainbow mountain, the amazon jungle and Machu Picchu, I felt very well taken care of and I would recommend them to anyone trying to travel to Peru !
- by Amir ShahidiAs I travelled out of season Unu Raymi kindly at my request organised a guide for me for 2 days in el chalten with whom I hiked to Pliegue de Tumbado and Laguna Los Tres. I was very glad to have a guide for Pliegue de Tumbado as there were very few people there out of season (and I was a solo traveller). Luis was very patient, friendly and kind and told me lots about the nature and the park. He guided us very carefully through the snow and thanks to him I was able to enjoy a hike I wouldn't have otherwise (as the trail was totally covered with snow) and I got much more from it than just hiking by myself. We also hiked los tres together (on which there are many more people) via the rio electrico route at his suggestion which turned out to be a great idea. We enjoyed views of fitzroy from all different angles and had a fun day. He guided me carefully through the snowy areas at the top of fitzroy and taught me how to use crampons and poles (since it was my first time using these) so while many others fell on the way I was happy not to! Luis was very flexible, allowing us to choose the days with best weather and giving me great suggestions of new paths to try on the other days. For me it was perfect as I was very hesitant about hiking alone. Organisation was very smooth and easy by whatsapp and I wouldnt hesitate to use again.

Fantastic - all the excursions were a 10, and the communication with the agency was perfect. Total wonder!
- by Agata Muntaner SanchezI had such an amazing time, and am so thankful for the experiences. The planning team did a great job booking excursions that were well known in the respective areas to experience, and the hotels were nice and centrally located. I was able to learn and see a lot, and they communicated with me frequently. HOWEVER: there was one little miscommunication. I thought that when I signed up for a solo trip that I would be a solo traveler in a group the whole trip, but it was indeed a solo trip (I met other people on some excursions, but not a travel group and was alone). It all worked out, and was actually wonderful, just know ahead of time because that was what I originally wanted.

Great coordination! Great experience
- by Anna SteinerHorrible Experience - Not Worth the Money Our South American Capitals Tour with TourRadar was a joke. Constant miscommunications and lack of coordination between Riwal and Alfonso led to daily frustrations. Tour guides had very poor English even though this entire experience was advertised as a “tour operated in English.” The shared itinerary was not followed, including an announced hotel change which only added to our confusion and stress. The language barriers throughout the trip made us question how much we even learned about these destinations. We paid a premium for a headache-filled experience that we could have easily arranged ourselves for less. Avoid TourRadar/Ecuador Galapagos Travels if you value your safety and peace of mind.

The organization was good. Overall, however, the hiking/trek day was average/okay.
- by Bart AndersonThe tour was great, good itinerary, bus tours in parks were excellent. We got a quick response when we had to contact the Itravel. The accommodations were great in El Chalten and Ushuaia. The accommodation in El Calafate the Pioneros was crappy, we had a room in a building in the back of the hotel looking like a bunker, the room was basic, flacking paint on walls, the bathroom ceiling was a panel of plywood and many black spots around the bath. The sidewalk was broken. The breakfast was limited to toast and coffee. This place is to be avoid. In general the breakfast hours are not adapted to the early morning tour. We found this tour just amazing and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to all team.

We loved our group tour with Explore. There were only 14 on the tour which is very manageable and everyone was very fun and sociable. Marcello, our guide, was a prince of a man. He was very engaged with each of us, very protective, and always made us feel welcome and that we belonged. He spoke English, Spanish and Portuguese, which made it very easy to travel with him. Our day guides, for our Buenas Aires walking city tour, was very knowledgeable as well as our guide for the Igazu Falls on both the Argentina and Brazil sides. All the places we stopped in Brazil were perfect... small town, island, and of course Rio! Personally would always prefer staying in higher end hotels, but what we had was fine. Fortunately I was able to stay 3 days before and 3 days after in hotels that were really nice and gave time to integrate other places into our adventure. I know it is challenging to have a big group eat together at a restaurant, would just want to make sure that all the options we had were good ones. I highly recommend this trip and would do it all over again!

The personnel at Say Hueque were were very helpful and I am grateful to them. My first stop at El Calafate was ruined by how inadequate transportation was from the airport at el Chalten. The suspension of the van was so bad that I got sick with vertigo, even though the driver let me ride up front after 5 minutes in the van, which I could not stand because I became so dizzy. I wish there had been more information in the itinerary package about the trails in El Calafate, though. I had to struggle with the very basic map in the hotel to find a couple of them. Transportation to and from Puerto Natales was easy, with comfortable and clean buses. The excusrion to Prito Moreno galcier was a highlight of the whole trip. Good van and excellent, professional guide. All the hotels were acceptable, with lovely and helpful personnel. The only unacceptable part, much to my disappointment, was the excursion to Torres del Paine. The guide was atrocious but thought of himself as funny and personable. The tour itself was boring. Later I found out that we could have been driven to the Salto Grande falls very easily, and there are a few trails that start at the facilities there. The only walking that we were allowed to do was a 10 minute path to the mud flats of one of the lakes! And the trip to the caves was a waste of time and money.

The only issue I had was despite asking for a double bedroom, I was given a single bedroom. Other than that everything else was perfect. Thanks
- by EddieOur Trip was fantastic except for the fact that when we returned to Buenos Aires AEP airport our driver was at EZE airport. It took over an hour to communicate that our driver was at the wrong airport (over an hour away). We ended up taking a taxi to the Park Hyatt. Was informed by Signature Travel that Marilda would take care of a refund for our inconvenience but only received a bottle of wine in our room. This did not cover our cost and inconvenience.

A very good experience, pick ups were on time, excursion guides were good and the tour allowed enough free time you didn’t feel too constrained

Everything was very well organized and according to the tour planning. Moreover, our tour guide, Gionia, was excellent, very knowledgeable and attentive! Thank you and look forward for our next tours with tourradar!

The tour was organised for us at short notice after our original operator cancelled. Everything was well coordinated and went very smoothly as planned. We really enjoyed ourselves over the 23 days. We took in some incredible scenery, explored interesting cities, learned about the South American culture and history and met some wonderful people. It truly has been a trip of a lifetime. Kind regards Ian and Debbie

Excellent service, great communication and friendly staff. Thank you!
- by Inga ZuzeviciuteOur tour leader, Joanne Lunn was not up to the standard required. Day 1 The tour start was compromised by the tour leader deciding that the half day tour be undertaken on the first day rather than the second. Due to flight delays this tour was hurried and we missed the Recoletta. We did undertake this on the second day and were extremely lucky to meet up with a guide who allowed us to join his tour. Otherwise we would have walked the site with no real idea of what we were looking at as our guide did not have that knowledge. We understand that the half day tour being moved to day 1 was to allow any of the party to undertake a full day tour on the second day. We had investigated this option, but after looking at the options, decided against this as we had seen much of BA earlier. Our understanding was that the tour options were to be discussed with us, but this did not happen. If we had booked a tour we would have missed out on the Recoletta. Rosie could have undertaken a day tour to Iguazu Falls, but that was not offered as an option. Lack of preparation. Jo made reference to a 27 Page dossier, with no evidence to show that she had reviewed and was making use of the information contained within it. She was unaware of distances and duration of travel each day, unaware of how many meals we were having each day in relation to the dossiers that we had been given. There was little evidence that preparation had been done in sufficient detail as Jo was completely reliant on the daily guides and local offices for specific information. Reverting to Internet searches when access to guides was not available. There was lack of preparation on important issues such as health and safety. She had no idea of the high risk of Denge fever in BA despite this making international news a few days before the tour started. On day one she should have discussed the possible signs and symptoms of Altitude sickness rather than it coming up in conversation between us. Jo worked out what she considered was the requirement for tips for the entire trip. This was $US40 per person. We all thought that a bit light and agreed on $US50 each. This was all used just after the halfway point of the tour. We are still unsure of why this happened as the tips had been pre-calculated. As the trip progressed she was asking us about tips for the guide and driver when she had apparently calculated tips going forward as referred to. If she was going to arrange tips she should have discussed with Liz, who she met up with on two occasions, what level of tip was appropriate rather than asking us. Again demonstrating lack of preparation. On the day bus ride from Puno to Cusco, Jo's notes (which she had provided to us) indicated that she would be providing snacks for that ride. These did not eventuate. At the single stop we did have she asked if we required something to eat. We responded no as it was too early for lunch. It was never explained to us that this would be the only stop. On the trip to Cafeyate we had a Spanish only speaking guide. We asked numerous questions which Jo translated. It was obvious that detailed responses were made, but only one line replies were fed back to us. Jo has a number of personality traits that were not suitable for a tour leader: Continually interrupting conversations we were having. Very rude. Treating us as though we were children, despite the fact we were all seasoned traveller's. Telling Rosie her room is on the first floor when her room number was 104 is an example. Jo had not done this tour before. She made many assumptions that were not correct and did not make sense to us. She was often proved wrong and had to change her story. This was a direct result of her lack of knowledge and insufficient research. We got to the stage where we did not know what to believe in the everchanging story. She also interrupted guides on many occasions ruining the flow of the commentary. She also interjected with comments that were incorrect and needed correction by the guide. Basically, she talked and interrupted far too often to make the trip enjoyable. Inappropriate interventions of assistance that were not required such as carrying bags when she had her own to manage. Jo commented to my wife Jan at one stage that she was the 'easy one' or something along those lines. This is totally inappropriate given that I, as Jan's spouse was one of the people she was referring to as being difficult. Jo could learn a lot from the way Edwin worked. At the end of each day he gave a clear and concise summary of what expect on the following day, when we would start and what to wear. At one point, in San Pedro de Atacama we had to sit her down and ask a number of pointed questions to get required information. There was a distinct impression that Jo was on the tour because she had not seen most of the sights before. Very nice for her, but it meant she did not have the knowledge to guide this tour properly and was always scrambling to get information to answer our queries. The trip had great scenery and other highlights, and could have been an excellent experience with the right guide.

Overall we had an excellent experience. Would recommend the following: Puerto Madryn … too much waiting time perhaps at the restaurant and for whale watching perhaps the tour could start with whale watching then round the peninsula valdes with a short stop and only Punta Tombo to get a clo
- by Sylvana BezzinaVery good way to explore Buenos Aires, Iguazu and Rio and the tour duration was just right. Well-coordinated tour and appreciated the seamless transfers to and from the airport. Please note that this is not a group tour as I ended up doing the trip on my own. Itinerary was well-followed so I made other bookings on the free days. Grateful for the constant updates from Mateo and Flor was excellent during the booking process.
