What people love about Indochina Tours
- Amazing Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam 18 days
We have booked this 18 days tour through Indochina via this company. Our travel consultant Angie has been super helpful. I have few changed thetravel itinerary because I have not loved what they have come back to me with but she was patient and nice to keep working with me. I am very pleased with the resulting itinerary and am excited to start our trip. We are very happy with Angie and quality service thus far. All the guide we met in each citi gave us a fantastic introduction. All of the meals that were included were great, the hotels were beautiful and well located, our drivers were fantastic and very skilled, and without exception. Thank you! 5 stars
- 25-Day Grand Indochina and Thailand Adventure
Our organizer, Long Pham, was fantastic. He was attentive, checked in with us regularly and made sure that everything went smoothly. He also gave multiple suggestions of things to do and places to see in our free days. The small group tours selected were excellent.
- Southeast Asia Discovery: Seasides and Street Food
This is one amazing tour! Four different cultures, four different experiences, all rolled into one trip with amazing people and an excellent guide

See all Active toursOur bike tours really open up Southeast Asia in unique ways. The full 13-day route from Bangkok through Vietnam and Cambodia is particularly special - cyclists tell us they love pedaling quiet backroads through Mekong Delta villages and catching sunrise at Angkor's lesser-known temples. The Thai-Cambodia combo is another favorite, where you'll cycle coastal villages and rural backroads. The bike makes it easy to stop at local markets and chat with villagers whenever you want. If you're after more of a workout, the Vietnam routes include some good climbs up to hilltop temples and longer rides through rice paddies, but don't worry - support vehicles stay close by. You'll also get to places regular tours can't reach, like the narrow paths between Hoi An's food markets or quiet lanes where monks collect morning alms in Luang Prabang.

Looking at the feedback from our travelers, Intrepid stands out for their guide quality, with Is Prapassorn getting particular praise. She's known for taking exceptional care of her groups and paying attention to all the small details that make tours run smoothly. Prestigo Asia has built a solid reputation with their guide Dat, who our customers frequently mention for keeping everything organized. They've also done well choosing hotels that hit the right spots for comfort and location. G Adventures offers some interesting and varied routes, and their Chief Experience Officers (CEOs) Sam and Charin know their stuff when it comes to local knowledge. That said, we've heard from some travelers that the accommodations can be a bit up and down, and there have been occasional hiccups with getting from place to place on their tours. What's interesting is how much the guide makes or breaks the experience - it's clear from the feedback that having someone like Is Prapassorn or Dat can turn a good trip into a really memorable one. While G Adventures has strong points with their varied offerings and CEOs, those inconsistencies with hotels and transport are worth noting if you're planning a trip.
- 5.0 (797 Indochina reviews)
"The tour and itinerary were alright, the guide and driver were great, but the hotel quality was subpar for the price paid. The hotels should be significantly better, with a higher quality breakfast offered. instead of the temple on the final day that's a 5 hr drive, why not do temples in chiang mai city instead? Makes no sense.

Who are you traveling with?
Group
3,138 tours in IndochinaOur two-week group tours through Indochina pack in real local experiences you won't find in guidebooks. You'll start your day giving alms with monks in Luang Prabang, pick up traditional fishing skills in the Mekong Delta and cook alongside families in quiet village homes. There's a good mix of guided activities and free time - you might explore temples with local experts in the morning, then spend your afternoon wandering through markets or trying something different like rock climbing in Vang Vieng. The overnight trains between cities work really well; our customers say it's practical for covering distance and saves on hotel costs. Many mention their guides made all the difference, especially in places like Hoi An where they'll show you local restaurants and quieter corners of the old town that most visitors miss.
Small Group
2,030 tours in IndochinaSmall group tours stay flexible with 12-16 people, which hits the sweet spot for being social while keeping things personal. You'll zip through Bangkok's streets on tuk-tuk food tours, stay with local families in traditional Laotian villages and paddle through limestone caves in Halong Bay. Our travelers often tell us they love getting to know everyone in the group while having enough people to keep conversations interesting. Spending 2-3 nights in most stops gives you time to really get under the skin of each place. The small numbers mean you can do things bigger groups can't - like cycling through narrow village paths in the Mekong Delta or joining local families for dinner in their homes.
Private / Personalized
1,095 tours in IndochinaPrivate tours give you the freedom to travel your way while tapping into local knowledge. Your personal guides in each country can adjust plans to match what interests you most. You'll get nice touches like private boats to explore quieter parts of Halong Bay and early temple visits before the tour buses arrive. Our customers really value having their own transport - it means stopping whenever something catches their eye, whether it's a village market or an interesting roadside shrine. Hotels tend to be right in the center of things, perfect for evening walks and exploring on your own. Many travelers tell us how their guides helped arrange special experiences, from visiting artists' workshops in Hoi An to cooking with professional chefs in Bangkok.

Our small group 29-day journeys attract loads of solo travelers who often tell us these trips changed their outlook completely. You'll share authentic homestays, cook together in local classes and explore night markets as a group, while still having plenty of time to do your own exploring. Many guests stay in touch long after meeting during the laid-back Mekong boat journey or while wandering Hoi An's historic lanes. First-time solo visitors often choose our 15-day routes - the guides handle all the details while you focus on experiences like crafting in Laotian villages or catching sunrise at Angkor Wat. The 10-day trips feature social hostels perfect for meeting other travelers, plus group activities like food tours and cycling between temples.
For couples, our private 15-day journeys blend cultural immersion with intimate moments. You'll dine by candlelight in Hoi An's historic courtyards, cruise the Mekong Delta at sunset and enjoy traditional spa treatments together in timber houses. The 18-day cultural routes come with private guides who adjust everything to your style - whether you want long morning coffees in old Hanoi or extra time photographing Angkor's temples. Many couples pick our 21-day complete tours with upgraded stays in colonial hotels and premium boats for Halong Bay overnights. We mix guided activities with plenty of time for just the two of you to explore.
The 30-day routes attract young travelers looking for real outdoor action - you'll trek national parks, climb rocks in Vang Vieng, paddle through Halong Bay's caves and cycle between Mekong Delta villages. Staying in hostels and homestays makes it easy to connect with other travelers, while cooking classes and street food tours get you deep into local life. Our 21-day routes add more evening options - from Ho Chi Minh City's rooftop bars to Bangkok's backpacker zones and beach parties on Koh Rong. The 15-day trips focus on sharing adventures with like-minded travelers, including motorbiking through Hue's countryside and hiking to Luang Prabang's waterfalls.
Our senior travelers especially value the thoughtfully paced 15-day tours with quality accommodations. You'll spend more time in each place, really getting to know spots like Luang Prabang's temple streets and Hoi An's historic center. The 21-day routes dive deeper into local culture - you'll learn crafts in village workshops, visit markets with expert guides and take private boats to quieter parts of Halong Bay. Many pick our 18-day journeys with better hotels and domestic flights instead of overnight trains. Our guides focus on comfort and access while making sure you experience the real culture through temple visits, cooking classes and local market exploration.
Traveling Indochina with kids works really well on our 18-day circuit - it's paced just right with extra time built in at each stop. Your family can spend afternoons in local homes learning to make rice paper, take fun basket boat rides through coconut groves and let the kids try making their own spring rolls in cooking classes. The Vietnam portion includes nights on traditional boats in Halong Bay, where you can kayak as a family and spot monkeys swinging through the islands. We also offer 15-day routes focused on meeting locals - our families tell us their children loved visiting Cambodian village schools, joining morning alms ceremonies in Luang Prabang and learning about elephant care at ethical sanctuaries near Chiang Mai. For families with teenagers, our 10-day highlights work perfectly, mixing temple visits with active fun like cycling quiet country lanes and exploring night markets by tuk-tuk.

- Fall / Autumn 2025
Autumn's a fantastic time for our full 30-day circuit from Bangkok. Post-monsoon brings fewer tourists and really nice light for photos - great for capturing monks collecting alms in Luang Prabang's misty mornings or late light at Angkor. The 18-day cultural route works nicely for mixed groups, balancing guided activities with independent exploration. Our customers particularly enjoy Hoi An's cooking classes when the markets are full of fresh seasonal produce. The 16-day highlights tour makes sense in autumn when sites are less crowded. Recent visitors loved exploring Hanoi's Old Quarter in cooler temps and taking Ha Long Bay overnight cruises with ideal kayaking conditions. For those wanting more action, the 15-day route includes village cycling and national park hikes when trails are drier after the rains. The 10-day express option rounds things off well - you'll check out Mekong Delta floating markets, explore quieter Angkor temples and cruise to hidden Mekong caves in mild and pleasant weather.

- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter's really the sweet spot for exploring Indochina, especially from November through February. Our 29-day circuit lets you take it slow when temperatures are just right. The overnight trains are a highlight - you'll drift off and wake up to misty views over rice paddies between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and later between Hanoi and Hue. If you're pressed for time, the 15-day route focuses on temples in the cool, dry season. Getting to Angkor Wat early means beating both crowds and heat, plus you'll find perfect conditions for cycling through Mekong Delta villages and their bustling floating markets. The 21-day cultural route hits a nice balance in winter, mixing structured temple visits with free time to explore. Recent travelers tell us they loved this flexibility. Ha Long Bay overnight cruises are particularly good this time of year - cool evenings make for great kayaking through limestone caves and sleeping under clear night skies. For a quicker trip, the 10-day tour efficiently covers key sites while weather's on your side. You'll explore Luang Prabang's morning markets, take quiet Mekong tributary cruises and join monks for their morning alms ceremonies.
