At 67 and only moderately disabled I found that this tour required a greater degree of ability. I am fit but the navigation through streets and countryside was challenging. The trip was well-organized, informative, and provided a unique opportunity to explore two of the most fascinating countries in Southeast Asia. The trip started in Bangkok, Thailand, where we were introduced to our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. From there, we headed north to Chiang Mai, where we explored the city's bustling markets and visited local temples. From Chiang Mai, we made our way into Laos, where we visited the ancient city of Luang Prabang. Here, we explored stunning waterfalls and took a peaceful boat ride on the Mekong River. We also had the opportunity to learn about the unique culture and history of Laos through visits to local museums and temples. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was our visit to a local village in Laos, where we had the chance to learn about traditional farming practices and meet with local families. This was a truly eye-opening experience that allowed us to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the local culture. Throughout the trip, our tour guide was always available to answer questions and provide helpful tips on how to navigate local customs and etiquette. The accommodations were comfortable and provided a good mix of modern amenities and local charm. Overall, I would highly recommend the Thailand and Laos Adventure with G Adventure to anyone who wants to experience the beauty and culture of Southeast Asia. - SBScott· January 19th, 2023G Adventures might not be for everyone. If you choose them on Tourradar do your homework. If you are over 6’ tall some of the transportation will be rough. Overnight train with 40 people and bunk beds might not be your thing.The hotels were average at best. Some had more working parts than others. But most of the stops were beautiful and fun. Crazy night life with 1000’s of people in the streets. 1000’s of motorcycles, horns beeping.
