Ahmed Kassem was one of the best tour guides we have ever had in all of our trips. He was very knowledgeable and was genuinely concerned with everyone’s enjoyment, and that no one got separated from the group. His expertise, warmth, and attention to detail added so much value to the trip. As a woman in my 20s traveling solo, I felt completely safe throughout my time in Egypt. Despite concerns about safety in some parts of the Middle East, Egypt is a wonderful destination that offers incredible value for money, welcoming people, fascinating places to explore, and plenty of opportunities to relax. I chose to explore Cairo independently, but I’m so glad I booked this Nile cruise for the next leg of my journey. Ahmed Kassem crafted a fantastic itinerary, balancing iconic sights with unique local experiences. You can customise your itinerary to fit in as much/little as you like, but I highly recommend seeing it all: Abu Simbel, the Nubian Village, and Luxor hot air balloon ride were all highlights in their own right alongside the ancient sights at Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor. Ahmed is an exceptional guide with deep local knowledge and connections, giving you access to experiences you simply couldn’t arrange on your own. Whether it’s uncovering hidden gems or navigating Egypt’s rich history, his guidance is invaluable. If you’re considering exploring the Nile, this tour is the best way to do it. The boat is well taken care off, the staff is very friendly, the food is nice, the rooms are clean and they try to surprise you each day 😄 The visites are also very well taken care off, mind you there are salesmen everywhere trying to clamp on to you to buy something. I don’t suggest a triple room on the cruise because it is same size as other rooms but only includes an extra bed so no chairs and coffee table; otherwise, our room was very clean and included daily cleaning and fresh towels. Our guide, Ahmed Kassem, was very knowledgeable and helpful. - Felipe· November 29th, 2024The entire cruise through the Nile from Aswan to Luxor was amazing, stating from the spacious comfortable rooms, the delicious buffet meals, never felt hungry on the entire trip. Ahmed Kassem was our guide, he was very passionate and knowledgeable about Egypt's history, it was very enjoyable having him leading our tour. The only downside and it's not a big deal it's the Wifi, 10$ a day seems excessive and the wifi doesn't even reach the rooms. - Andrea· November 26th, 2024The itinerary and places visited were absolutely 10 out of 10. I have no regrets about the early wake-ups and would definitely do it again via cruise if given the chance. Our guide, Ahmed Kassem, made the experience even better. He is incredibly knowledgeable and provided detailed explanations of every site. Both Luxor and Aswan felt very safe and relaxed, especially compared to Cairo. While locals can be a little pushy in trying to sell items (but a simple no thank you I already bought it will suffice), our guide helped navigate these situations smoothly. The Positives of the cruise: -The guide -The itinerary -The food was great, although I would suggest adding more salad options for variety / and giving water for free!! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The Cons: With itineraries being nearly identical across all the cruises, popular sites can become very very crowded. Meals were often spent with the tour group, which limited opportunities for personal time (we did great friend btw, but you might get stuck with somebody you don't like much!). Unfortunately, we were grouped with someone who constantly berated vendors, lashed out at staff, and menaced she was not going to tip over minor elements. This behavior not only diminishes the experience for others but also reflects poorly on travelers as a whole. Please dont be an entitled tourist, stay home otherwise. Some extra notes for the tourist if this is your first time in egypt (or even if is not!): Please avoid using the horse carriages in Cairo/Aswan/Luxor. The horses are often in very poor condition, visibly malnourished, and mistreated. Secondly, the tours were really informative and the traveling was smooth. The room, food and comfort in the cruise were top notch. Lastly, a special mention to our guide, Mr Hassan. He really has a passion for his job and it was evident throughout the time spent with him. Information aside, he was fun and friendly and ensured we were all taken care of.
