Had a fantastic time in South Africa with Intro. This would be my 4th Intro tour (Vietnam, Cambodia and Mexico), and it did not disappoint. Me and my partner were saying this was one of the top holidays we've been on. South Africa offers so much variety and that's what we did on the trip. The safaris we went on saw all sorts of wildlife in their natural habitats. To see the giraffes, rhinos and hippos so close was mind blowing. The food and wine was always fantastic. We had half a day at a local adventure park for some high adrenaline activities. We learnt so much of SA's sad history of apartheid and the aftermath to the country. We visited some very poverty stricken communities where we bought food and learning supplies and spent some time with them. Always felt safe with the tour and our Tour Guide Liezl was fantastic. So many great advice and knowledge. Highly recommend this tour, jam packed full of activities.
- by Ka Yan Michelle YipNice place, had stuff to do every day. Tour guide/group leder was always the last one to bed, helping me keep the party going as long as possible. Got taken to nice restaurants and to beatiful viewpoints every day.

Amazing trip wonderful guides
Our tour guide Hamza was very attentive to each person's needs and really helped make things easy for our group. Weather in November was great most of the time and we avoided most of the dreaded heat in Morocco, although we had some chilly days in the mountains as rain moved in. Hotels were hit or miss sometimes. Take some Imodium and Pepto bismol with you as traveller's diarrhea is common in the area but pharmacies have most medications you would need available otherwise. Alcohol was surprisingly available, even in mostly rural areas but if that matters to you ask your tour guide as often alcohol is hidden away and there is not a strong drinking culture in Morocco. You will get tired of couscous and tagine eventually so keep that in mind when you have good alternative options (sometimes the alternatives are not good). With that said, it's an amazing cultural experience and I learned so much about the national history as well as meeting some great people and having a blast. I would wholeheartedly recommend it as long as you're open to adventure.

From beginning to end and the 12 days in between Trafalgar had every detail of the very busy touring schedule carefully planned. Instructions were repeated numerous times so there was no doubt when to meet for guided tour. Free time was given at each tour site after being guided, with instructions when to re group. touring was thorough main historic sights were included with trip package. There were numerous optional experiences averaging about $100 US each. Arriving at hotel late and very tired we DID NOT have to stand in line to get checked in, we were pre checked in. On arrival handed our keys and directly to room. End of trip transfer to airport was organized and stress free.
- by kory keberOur tour was of Best of Morocco, 10 days. Our tour director was Mohammed Ben Sellam. Our experience was excellent. The tour director was very efficient and accommodating to our needs. On more than one occasion, he went above and beyond our expectations. The tour itself of Morocco was beautiful and educational. The hotels for the most part were very comfortable, the included lunches and dinners were delicious, and the local guides were very knowledgeable. We recommend this company highly.

Everything went perfectly!
- by Grant MyersWe cancelled our tour with Exodus due to the war between Israel and Hamas. Exodus told us travel was safe to Egypt and refunded only 40% of the tour cost. While we agree travel to Egypt can be deemed safe TODAY the war continues with increased demonstrations within Egypt. There is every possibility tensions could escalate with little notice and the security situation deteriorate suddenly. This concern was demonstrated October 8 when an Egyptian police officer shot and killed 2 tourists and a guide in Alexandria. My wife and I, along with numerous friends we recruited, have taken 3 previous trips with Exodus. We will no longer recommend Exodus based on their response to our concerns.

Overall, the tour was EXCELLENT! All of the tour guides were wonderful. Spain was good, but I feel that my experience in Morroco was twice as good! Morroco has a lot of history, and I enjoyed learning more about Morroco's history and culture and visiting the municipalities of Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakesh. The optional excursions offered throughout the tour were excellent as well, and made my experience exceptional. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!!
- by William Flowers IIII had an incredible travel experience overall, with my time in Morocco standing out as one of the most memorable parts of my journey. This was largely due to the exceptional service provided by my English-speaking tour guide, Ayoub. His professionalism, knowledge, and dedication significantly enhanced my trip. Ayoub's expertise in Moroccan culture, history, and landmarks was invaluable. He ensured that I not only learned about the country's rich heritage but also experienced it in a way that felt personal and engaging. His communication skills were excellent, and his ability to make each moment feel special set him apart as a guide. In addition to Ayoub, I had the pleasure of working with several other remarkable team members during my trip. Hamida, our Spanish-speaking guide, was friendly and attentive, while Mohammed, our driver, was always safe, punctual, and efficient. Frey, one of the English-speaking guides, was also incredibly helpful, especially when he picked us up in Tarifa and accompanied us to Sevilla, ensuring a smooth hotel transfer. I also had the opportunity to work with Itsa, an outstanding English-speaking guide in Spain and Portugal, who added value to the experience in those countries. However, it was Ayoub who truly stood out during my time in Morocco, and I am extremely grateful for his support. The trip did not start without its challenges. In Madrid, I unfortunately became a victim of pickpocketing and lost all my cash. Ayoub's immediate response to this setback was both professional and compassionate. He reassured me and took it upon himself to make sure I could still participate in all the planned excursions, allowing me to fully enjoy my time despite the difficult situation. Ayoub's dedication and care made a significant impact on my experience, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had him as my guide. His exceptional service truly made this vacation unforgettable. I am deeply grateful for his help and for making my time in Morocco so special. Ayoub is an invaluable asset to the company, and I will always remember the exceptional experience he provided. I would also like to express my appreciation to Hamil for the warm welcome and tour orientation provided upon my arrival in Casablanca. All in all, the tour was highly enjoyable, covering a range of beautiful destinations and greatly enhanced by the expertise of our professional tour guide, particularly Ayoub, who accompanied me for most of the trip and added an extra layer of learning and fun to the journey.

- by Antoinette WoodsI have taken several Intrepid trips. While I loved every one, Morocco was special. Our guide was excellent. We saw a lot, though in a manner that was not rushed. I learned so much and had unique and meaningful experiences. Highly recommend the tour!

Our air carrier got us off to a rough start be delaying our arrival into Cape Town by over 24 hours. And we never heard from or located our Globus host in CT to coordinate how to make up the missed events or start an occurrence report to submit for compensation. However, once things finally got going, the trip was great.
- by Frederick MahleyDO NOT USE GLOBUS!!! Cape Town and Makalali Lodge were amazing and would highly recommend them. The hotel in Johannesburg was nice but was kind of a waste of time to go there for 2 nights just to get a glimpse of the Apartheid. That should have been skipped or moved to the end since we were flying out of Joburg and made it a post extension option. Victoria Falls was beautiful but again 2 nights there is too much. It should have been a day tour or just one night. Nothing to do there once you see the Falls. Never any water on buses in the cities and for the price we should have had this and more meals included. The most disappointing part was that our guide, Wendy. Not only was she not very warm or personable, she never waited for the group to gather before going to the sites, but she didn’t travel with us to Botswana. Globus never mentioned this in any pre-trip information and Wendy didn’t tell us until we were leaving for Zimbabwe. She made it sound like she was leaving but another Globus guide would fill in for the remainder of the trip. That was not what happened. When we left Zimbabwe, Wendy flew home, and the rest of the tour group got on bus to the Botswana border where another bus picked us up and took us to the lodge. We were on our own for the rest of the trip. The hotel staff at Elephant Valley Lodge was very nice and told us what we had to do for our remaining time, but we should have had Globus representation. So many things could have gone wrong, and they were lucky that nothing did. At Elephant Valey Lodge, our agenda said we would have morning and afternoon game activities where we could choose from a game drive in Chobe National Park or a boat excursion. It ended up that there was not a morning and an afternoon activity but instead, they made us leave at 8am and return at 4pm on an all-day jeep tour in Chobe National Park. 8 hours in a jeep was awful, hot and boring. This was totally false advertising. The tents at the lodge were similar to the picture on their website but much dirtier and lots of bugs. I wasn’t prepared for that. I would go back to Africa but definitely not with Globus. The part I left out was that Wendy came up to me in Victoria Falls and handed me papers that would be needed for the group for the remainder of our trip to Botswana and then back to JoBerg. She knew that I planned corporate incentive trips for my job so she decided I could manage the group once she left. She did not ask me, she just gave me the papers. I had our hotel certificates for Botswana, our flight information back to JoBurg, I had a list of attendees with their personal information and then my personal agenda. I should not have been given any personal information for the other travellers. I did tell her that I would not accept any responsibility for the group and that she needed to tell the entire group what was going to happen so we all knew what to expect. I said I would carry the papers but not be the point of contact. This was totally not acceptable. I filled out the survey and also sent emails to Globus. They have never responded to me. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. The fact that our guide left, the tour was not what was published, never water on any buses in Cape Town or Johannesburg, and didn’t respond to concerns about the trip is very frustrating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GLOBUS FOR TOURS!!! There are better companies who are less expensive and have more included and way better customer service.

Tour guide very good, travel was fine. Accommodation average with lack of hot water. Amman not the bedt
- by Ngaire WaineAmazing number of sights, activities and experiences packed into 8 days. The whole trip was well-organised places we were visiting. I loved the fact that we had one overall guide, who was helpful, organised and knowledgable, with additional local expert guides for significant attractions. The variety of landscapes was breathtaking. Fantastic value for money (though I travelled in December)

I really did enjoy the places, hotels and tour director. Unfortunately I found the last 3 days unsatisfactory as we rushed from place to place. On the bus all day, unload at the hotel late afternoon, and back on the bus by early morning, to repeat this 3 days long. It would've been preferable to spend 1 or 2 nights at the Costa del Sol rather than rush through it.
- by Francisca Hallo-de VisserThe trip was excellent overall. Our tour director Margaret George was brilliant, knowledgeable and exceptional director in total control. The drivers were Maxwell and Joe. Their demeanor skills and friendliness was beyond reproach. Accommodation was very good. 1 or 2 of the hotels are in need of updating. Meals provided were good. The tours achieved their aims. Big 5 were seen. Would recommend it. One note of caution on home bound flights please arrange to be in Johannesburg early. You may be pushed to get through to your flight in 3 hours

We had such an amazing time with Luke being our tour leader on Expat Explore first Morocco tour! He made sure that everyone felt safe. Luke has some strong story telling skills, I will always remember around the bonfire in the desert 🏜️
- by Violaine BurelThe whole tour was a marvelous experience. Everything was perfectly organized and enjoyable. Peter was an excellent guide, who explained everything in great and knowledgeable detail, he really made the tour something really special. Would definitely travel with Tour Radar again.

AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I had the best time on my 54 day safari with absolute. Travelling overland allowed us to see spectacular scenery every day, and I can’t believe how many unforgettable experiences we had in this amount of time. A few highlights were ; swimming with dolphins in Zanzibar, Lake Malawi’s village tour, rhino trekking, all the game drives ; especially Etosha, Chobe and South Luangwa (night drive), boating through the okovango delta, and climbing sand dunes in Namibia! Bear in mind these are just highlights, and we did much more! I met some lovely people on the tour, who made the experience what it was, and who I now count as good friends. Our tour guide was also fantastic - being kind, organised and detail oriented (which was massively appreciated), as well and knowledgeable about each place we went. Our guide and absolute also dealt very well with two siblings, who were swiftly removed from the tour due to verbal abuse, racist & homophobic comments. This shows that absolute do really enforce a zero tolerance policy for any of these forms of mistreatment. Rest assured that those siblings were an anomaly though, and everyone else on the tour got on which made two months of living, cooking and cleaning together enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour, and I guarantee you will leave having met amazing people, and having seen the most fab places.
- by EmilyIf you’re thinking about an overland trip in Africa, I wholeheartedly recommend Absolute Africa. My girlfriend and I wouldn’t usually join a tour when travelling and we were a little nervous about it, but we needn’t have been; it was an amazing experience. Of the companies I researched, I liked Absolute because it’s the most flexible (there are lots of routes, and you only pay for the excursions you want). Booking was really smooth, and they give you lots of info to help you prepare for the trip (thanks Sophie!). On the tour itself, the guides and drivers have been fantastic. Big shout outs to Joseph, David, Marvin, Joe, Hesron and Emias. The buses are really nice, with more legroom than I was expecting! Yes there are some long, bumpy drives but honestly it’s quite fun. And all the campsites were great—almost all have had a bar and most have even had swimming pools! To be honest, the only negative I experienced was two of our fellow passengers, who have left negative reviews below. Their comments are completely unfounded from what I experienced. In fact, they were abusive to other tour members—including a 75 year old woman—as well as to our guides. They also said some pretty shocking things about the locals which I won’t share here. They were given a warning, and then almost immediately became abusive again. I personally see it as a huge positive that Absolute intervened and removed them from the trip and that behaviour like that isn’t tolerated. After being told they were being removed they trashed the bus, cut the wires to our fridge and charging point, and smashed a window. It tells you everything you need to know about them. Anyway, to finish on something more positive, some of the highlights for me were the game drives in the Serengeti, South Luangwa, Chobe and Etosha parks; Lake Kariba houseboat; village tour on Lake Malawi; the Okavango Delta; Spitzkoppe; and Sossusvlei.

Although we enjoyed many unique cultural experiences such as magnificent seafood dinners and castles, we felt that there was too much time spent travelling in the bus and not enough time exploring on our own.

It was a nice trip in the diffrent countries and nice people
- by CLAUS MARK RASMUSSENWhat a trip of a lifetime! Strongly recommend traveling Africa with Oasis - it was a truly unforgettable experience! I did the 75 day Nairobi to Cape Town trip with on average about 13 people. I’m so glad I did the entire route as it really gave you the chance to experience the diversity of Africa. It felt a bit tiring towards the end but I have no regrets. If you did want a shorter trip I would recommend Nairobi to Nairobi or Nairobi to Vic Falls - although Namibia is AMAZING! The truck itself is great - the line of seats down both sides of the truck are perfect for ensuring you socialise with everyone and relationships don’t get too cliquey. Great way to play card/board games, sleep and admire the amazing views. I sometimes get car sickness and it didn’t happen at all on the truck! The truck had UK charging points, drink bottle holders and speakers to plug music in which were all very handy! My tour leaders were Often and Alexis. Often was the most amazing guide you can imagine! After 75 days on the trip I learnt that there was nothing he couldn’t do! He was so helpful with fixing anything that broke - air mattress, zips, tyres etc not to mention helping with a million other things - when he saw you struggling to fit your tent into its bag, making his famous garlic bread for your cook group etc. He cooked the most delicious food! He always ensured his beloved truck was in perfect working order. He was so open in sharing his life experiences and ensured we fell in love with Africa just as he had. Essentially, the trip would have been very different without him. Like Often, Alexis has been doing this route for years and it showed. She was very organised - with the days and border crossings always going smoothly. She was great at making sure if there was a specific African meal or something we wanted to see that wasn’t in the itinerary we would get to experience it! Alexis was also really helpful when it came to meal times. The food cooked by Alexis and Often was some of the tastiest meals I’ve ever had! So yummy! Being in a cook group can be a bit of a pain but it’s a great way to get to know everyone, learn new recipes, have some laughs and foster that family feeling. I spent a lot more money than I thought I would but you’re only in Africa once (hopefully more)! There are a lot more atms available than what the info Oasis provide states. You also don’t need as much USD as it implies as you do end up using local currencies in the countries you’re in. For me, I had a tonne of USD so I just exchanged it at the borders and rarely used an atm. In saying that, having too much USD actually worked out well as some people didn’t bring enough so I was able to help them out. There will be supermarket/grocery store stops about every 3 days too so there is no need to bring all your toiletries etc. The tents, dorms etc were absolutely fine! Tents are really quick to put up and down and are comfortable. There are upgrades available and a few of us always took a dorm room if it was less than $8. My number one tip is to buy a pillow at the start of the trip - you won’t regret it! Bring a spare set of headphones and flip flops because so many of us lost or broke both! Don’t worry about over packing - you get a lot of space to store your things. I’d also recommend bringing binoculars for all the game drives - we were always fighting over who got to use the two that we had! Do both of the village walks in Malawi and make sure you go down the slide in Jinja! Overall, it was just the most amazing trip. I have travelled quite a lot but never seen and experienced a place like Africa and I’ll always be so thankful for the memories and friends I now have.
