Discover the ideal tour package for you through Sahara Desert. On TourRadar you'll find trips starting from 3 days in length, and the longest tour is 16 days. The most popular month to go is February, which has the most tour departures.
See all Sahara Desert toursThe Atlas Mountains give you Morocco's most engaging mountain treks, with Mount Toubkal - North Africa's tallest peak - as the prime challenge. Our travelers tell us they love how the serious hiking mingles with real moments in remote Berber villages along the way. The stop at Sidi Chamarouch shrine has become a favorite spot to rest and soak in local customs. Many hikers branch out beyond the peaks to explore Todra Gorge, the Dades Valley and often spend a few nights camping under Sahara stars - which pairs naturally with mountain hiking. The area's rich plant life and old cedar forests create quite a scene, especially when wildflowers paint the spring landscape or autumn brings crystal-clear views. Our guides often point out how the mountains work as nature's wall between Mediterranean weather and Sahara heat, creating different environments you can experience in one trip.
See all Atlas Mountains toursYou'll find spring (March through May) or fall (September and also November) are the sweet spots for Northern Morocco - temperatures stay mild and the light hits those blue Chefchaouen streets just right for photos. Our travelers often tell us winter brings fewer tourists and a more genuine feel, especially in the old medinas. The whole region unfolds like a rich tapestry of blue mountain towns, ancient city quarters and coastal spots. The narrow lanes of Chefchaouen have become quite the highlight for our private tour guests, with endless photo opportunities around each turn. Fes and Rabat draw in history buffs, while Marrakech's winding market streets let you shop directly from local craftspeople. What makes it special is having our local guides there to share stories and open doors, turning typical tourist stops into real cultural experiences.
See all Northern Morocco toursJust a stone's throw from Marrakech are the High Atlas Mountains, which offer some of the finest hiking trails in the world. With postcard-perfect mountain views looking out to vast desert plains, and the generous hospitality of the local people, you'll fall in love with this pocket of Morocco.

The Mount Toubkal trek really stands out for experiencing Morocco's mountain landscapes. You'll climb North Africa's highest peak at 4,167 meters, starting with a day to adjust in the Atlas Mountains where you can explore Berber villages and get comfortable with the terrain. There's some scrambling needed near the top, but you're rewarded with views that stretch all the way to the Sahara and Atlantic coast. Our guides are excellent at setting the right pace and love sharing their knowledge about local plants, wildlife and mountain communities. Nights are spent in traditional mountain gites where you can try authentic Moroccan food and sometimes sleep on the terraces under a blanket of stars.
See all Hiking & Trekking toursRide a camel in the golden Sahara Desert, hike in the Atlas Mountains, or catch the waves in Agadir. From exploring lively souks in Marrakech to enjoying traditional Berber hospitality in desert camps to exploring the ancient ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Morocco is fantastic.
See all Active toursOur bus and coach tours excel at covering Morocco's dramatic landscapes, from the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara dunes. These well-planned routes handle the long desert drives in comfortable vehicles with regular stops at scenic points and local markets. You'll visit places like Todra Gorge, the kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou and also the rose valleys of Dades. What makes these tours special is how they combine the ease of organized transport with authentic experiences - you might stop at a Berber family's home for tea or visit a traditional carpet cooperative between destinations.
See all Coach / Bus toursFor explorers seeking to truly understand Morocco, our most comprehensive tours span 10-14 days from Casablanca through to Marrakech. These journeys take you deep into the medieval streets of Fes, where local guides walk you through the oldest tanneries in Africa and introduce you to master craftsmen. You'll spend nights in traditional riads within ancient city walls and wake up to authentic Moroccan breakfasts. The routes include stops at Roman ruins in Volubilis, quiet time in Chefchaouen's blue medina and also nights under desert stars in luxury camps. Our travelers particularly value the mix of guided exploration and free time, letting them discover hidden corners of the souks or find their own favorite rooftop café.

Looking at these three Morocco tour companies, each offers something different that travelers really value. TourRadar gets solid feedback for keeping things running smoothly - their high-speed train connections between cities are particularly well organized. Culture Trip's guides make a real difference to the experience. Hassan and Redouan consistently receive praise from travelers for sharing deep cultural knowledge and taking good care of everyone's needs throughout the journey. Intrepid covers a lot of ground with varied trips and hands-on local experiences. Their guides Said and Mo earn great reviews - Said knows all the best cycling routes while Mo handles the trekking groups with expertise. One note though: some Intrepid travelers mentioned their groups included people who struggled with the physical demands, which slowed things down at times. The transport approach really sets these companies apart - TourRadar uses those fast trains effectively, while the others focus more on specialized journeys by bike or foot. Each style works well for different types of travelers depending on how active they want to be during their Morocco trip.

"Great tour covers so much of Morocco including walks to Gorges, picnic in Cedar Forrest with Monkeys around. Camel ride and camp in Sahara Desert a highlight. Also staying in Riad’s was great. One or two hotels were a bit out of towns so free time was wasted. Great Guide - Abdou & Driver Mustapha Local guides were good but Tour of Medina in Fez took very long time lunch not till 3.30pm and lots of calling into shops for display but seemed like just a selling opportunity. But the trip was great and enjoyed by all the group - age range was 28 to 70yrs . As the name suggests- just Magical.

"It was a wonderful holiday in December that took us to the most beautiful places in Morocco in 9 days. You need to be reasonably fit to keep up with the pace of this trip as you need to pack and move each day. There's a lot of time travelling on the road but you get to see vast landscapes and experience so much diversity. Every day is different! I joined the trip on my own and I thoroughly enjoyed the adventures with other lovely tourmates. Farid is an experienced, friendly and thoughtful tour guide who took good care of us throughout the trip. Jamal is a great and amiable driver. We felt very safe travelling with them in Morocco, from big cities, small towns to the remote desert. They took us to some local shops but there was no pressure to buy anything. Our hotel in Marrakesh is basic (not as pretty as a riad) but it's clean and conveniently located. Dress in layers and pack warm clothes especially for the desert which can be cold at night. I also stayed behind for one extra day and did a day trip to Essaouira (a relaxing seaside town). This tour is recommended to those who would like to experience the beauty of Morocco but don't have time/energy to make the travel arrangements.

Best places to start your Morocco tour
Most people kick off their Morocco trip from Casablanca, which is where 48 of our most popular tours start, while Marrakesh isn't far behind with 40 departures. You can also begin in Tangier, Rabat and Fes, though there aren't quite as many options there. Looking at our booking patterns, most travelers lock in their plans about 4 months out - that's 127 days before they go. You'll definitely want to plan ahead if you're thinking about peak season or have your heart set on specific desert camps. For summer trips, I'd actually book even earlier since the more comfortable spring and fall dates tend to fill quickly. The sweet spot for weather is March through May or September through November - you get pleasant temperatures that work well for both city exploring and desert trips. Most people find 10-12 days hits the sweet spot - enough time to see the highlights without rushing around. Some folks stretch it out to explore quiet coastal spots or spend more time with Berber families in the Atlas Mountains. Price-wise, you're looking at about $1,142 per person for two weeks, which covers stays in traditional riads, local food and guided cultural experiences.
Discover Morocco tours for every budget
Morocco's budget tours pack in all the good stuff without breaking the bank. The 14-day Essential Morocco route gives you that magical desert night plus proper time in Fes and Marrakech. You'll mix comfortable hotels with local stays - our TourRadar customers often tell us the family guesthouse in Moulay Idriss turns out to be their favorite part. There's also a solid 10-day option from Tangier where you'll start in Chefchaouen's blue maze before heading south through the Atlas Mountains. Local guides come included for the major cities, which makes a real difference in understanding Morocco's layers of history and culture. Even at this price point you're still getting the full experience - camel rides into the Sahara, cooking pastilla with families in Fes and exploring Marrakech's food scene with people who really know their way around.

The included airport transfers take the stress out of arrivals, and our guides are pros at helping you navigate local customs while staying at centrally located hotels. Solo guests really connect during our signature experiences - from photo walks in Chefchaouen's blue maze and riad cooking classes to nights in the desert sharing stories around the campfire with Berber music playing.
