What people love about Thailand Tours for Seniors
- Bangkok to Chiang Mai Express
The tour was AMAZING! I highly recommend G Adventures! I was afraid of not meeting the right people and/or not clicking but our group of solo travellers was amazing! We were 10 ppl, there was only one couple and we were all from 20 to 38 years old... I would definitely recommend arriving at least 1 day in advance to enjoy Bangkok and departing a day or two after to take advantage of Chiang Mai. Take cash with you... at least 8k baht. No one takes credit card!! There are plenty of ATMs everywhere though, just be careful as some overcharge you for the transaction.
What our customers ask about Thailand Tours for Seniors
What type of accommodation can seniors expect on Thailand tours?
The accommodations are mainly 3-4 star hotels that cater to international guests. The Imperial Mae Ping Hotel in Chiang Mai represents the standard - rooms come with air conditioning, private bathrooms and easy elevator access. Hotels are picked based on their central locations, making it simple to explore nearby attractions or find restaurants.
How physically demanding are Thailand tours for seniors?
The physical requirements are minimal. Tours move at a relaxed pace with regular rest stops. At major attractions like Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple, alternative options like cable cars replace climbing stairs. Air-conditioned vehicles transport guests between sites, and walking distances are kept short.
What kind of transportation is provided during the tours?
Private, air-conditioned vehicles with professional drivers handle all transportation needs. Airport pickups and drop-offs are included. The vehicles used on routes like the Bangkok and Ancient Capitals tour ensure comfortable travel between destinations, with space to stretch out during longer journeys.
Is medical care readily available during Thailand tours?
Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket have modern medical facilities with English-speaking staff. Tour directors maintain contact information for the nearest hospitals and clinics. They can help arrange appointments and transportation to medical facilities when needed.
What's the best time of year for seniors to visit Thailand?
The period between November and February brings cooler temperatures and lower humidity levels. Daily highs stay around 80°F (27°C), making it easier to enjoy outdoor activities. While tours run throughout the year, these months offer the most pleasant weather for exploring temples and markets.
Are meals accommodated for senior dietary requirements?
Hotels like the Valia Hotel Bangkok serve both western and Thai breakfast options. Tour restaurants can prepare vegetarian, vegan, and halal meals upon request. The tour operator needs to know dietary restrictions in advance to make proper arrangements.
