What people love about touring Philippines solo
- 10 Days Philippine Tour
My tour to the Philippines was incredible!! Tourrader was excellent!! They were responsive and organized. We were met at the airport by one of their friendly drivers who gave us envelopes with our full itinerary and flight vouchers. We were promptly picked up for every tour, every flight, and every hotel. They communicated well with the hotels and tour guides so that our trip was smooth. They checked in with us during the trip and sent a message every night to remind us of our pick up times and planned activities. They were wonderful and I highly recommend booking a tour with this company!!! They were great!!
- A Week In Palawan, Philippines
I had a great experience, the person that I was in contact all the time Moya was amazing. All the places I stayed I was happy with, the tours and transport excellent, everyone was always on time. I stayed in pretty good places can’t complaint really, and never had a worried about anything. From the beginning until the end no hiccups. I would recommend this tour.
- Philippines Palawan Island Getaway
Ian, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and made sure everything was running on time. We had some disruption to our water activities due to high waves in Palawan, but Ian and Michael pivoted the activities so they were still fun and engaging. I booked the tour to just relax and let someone else do the planning for me and it worked wonderfully. Would book again with Intrepid.
What our customers ask about Philippines Tours for Solo Travelers
How much should I budget for a guided tour in the Philippines?
A typical guided tour in the Philippines costs between $165-284 per day. One popular option, G Adventures' 11-day tour, comes in at $2,529 ($230 per day). These prices cover basic needs like a place to sleep, some food, getting around, and local experts showing you the sights.
What accommodations can I expect on solo Philippines tours?
Tours mix it up between regular 3-4 star hotels and local spots with character. You might spend a few nights at places like the City Garden Grand Hotel in Manila, then switch to beachfront cottages in El Nido, where you'll drift off to sleep with ocean waves in the background.
What transportation methods are used between destinations?
Getting around involves a mix of air-conditioned vans, boats between islands, and some short flights within the country. The Palawan Island route, for example, combines private van rides with boat trips for checking out different islands, plus a quick flight from Manila down to Puerto Princesa.
What's included in meals for solo travelers?
Tour packages usually cover breakfast every day plus some other meals. Take the Puerto Princesa & El Nido trip - you get 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 2 dinners. The food ranges from local Filipino dishes to familiar international options, and they can handle special diets like vegetarian, vegan, and halal.
How easy is it to meet other travelers during Philippines tours?
The social scene comes naturally on Philippines tours. Whether you're jumping between islands in Palawan or sharing a traditional boodle fight meal spread out on banana leaves, there's plenty of chances to chat and connect with other travelers.
Is there a reliable communication system for solo travelers during the tours?
Tour operators keep in touch through WhatsApp throughout the trip. Your coordinator sends daily messages about pickup times and schedule updates, so you're always in the loop about what's happening next.
