    Excellent tour! Beyond the Nile tours was in touch with me before I went to go over any questions I had. When I arrived in Cairo Ayman contacted me immediately about my tour. He told me I was the only one on my tour ( I wanted to be with others) so he put me with another group. Great decision. Ayman also took care of arranging flights, booking additional tours and getting my covid test to name a few. Everything was taken care of. Everyone with Beyond the Nile tours took such good care of me I could not have asked for more. Being a solo woman traveler I felt very safe .

    My daughter and I just got back from a wonderful and thrilling trip to Egypt organized by Beyond The Nile Tours. Every single person we met, whether with the tour company or not, was kind, courteous and tried very, very hard to please. And they did. All the Egyptian tours go to the same amazing places, but what made this tour incredible for us were the Tour Guides: Gabber, Hassan and Muhammed were all extremely knowledgable, kind and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We spent the most time with Hassan Hosny whom we got to know the best and are lucky to call a new friend. He was knowledgable, patient, kind and most endearingly, funny. We had such a great time under his wing. Thank you, Hassan! Here are a couple tips I wish I'd known: Bring a big stack of $1 bills for tips because you will never have enough small Egyptian pounds. You will need the ones every where and for everything including the bathroom. Secondly, insist on a cabin as far to the front of the boat as you can possibly get! We loved our Nile cruise and our boat but were at the back above the motor and the noise and vibration are not pleasant. My only criticism of BTNT is communication, not with the Tour Guides, but with administration. I am not sure if it's language or cultural, but nothing is written down; not prices or itinerary. We had a small snafu at the end of the trip when the US changed its covid test time requirement from 72 to 24 hours. I wanted firm and clear information about when and how we would get the test, how much it would cost and when we would receive the results. I don't think that's too much to ask since so much was riding on that information. In the end, we did get the results in time and were able to board our plane home. We loved our trip to Egypt! Go! You will not regret it. With tourism at a tenth of normal, there will never be a better time. We felt safe every step of the way. Go!

    "Excellent guides for the entire Tour, particularly from Luxor to Aswan and considering the free spirits we had in our group, its a downright miracle the participant attrition rate was 0%. The hotels and logistics were extremely well organised and we were rarely waiting for buses or transportation. The one major downside is the incorporation of tourist trap stores into the itinerary, the buses take you to businesses with inflated prices and pushy sellers. This is fine in moderation but almost once every day was too much and when it cut into time at actual tourist attractions or downtime on the cruise, the group was livid. Additionally, the tour of the Nubian village should be avoided at all costs. The crocodiles living as 'pets' in grotesquely small cages is unconscionable and this type of tourism should not be condoned or supported. It's no different to petting sedated Tigers in S.E. Asia—it shouldn't ever be done. Beyondthenile Tours should find other partners in the villages to work with, who do not treat crocodiles so poorly, Beyondthenile/Nourbell Tours could really set itself apart from the rest of the competition in Egypt, by providing a clean curated tour of Egypt, that avoids the traps and pitfalls of your average Egypt tour.

    "This is a great trip knowing that it is a group tour which involves long bus rides and waking up early. I would recommend this trip to those wanting to see all the highlights of Egypt and Jordan safely. For the extra activities, I would recommend Abu Simbel and the hot air balloon ride at Luxor. It’s a bit more expensive but make sure to book the sunrise hot air balloon ride. It is definitely worth it. Make sure to bring some $1,$5,$10USD to use. Not everyone takes the credit card. When exchanging your money to EGP or JD, avoid the airport. When you arrive at the hotel you will meet your tour guide, ask him where to exchange money. The rate will be better. For hotels, their star system is not the same as Canadian star system. Expect 3 star hotels. For food, you will be eating a lot at the hotels or buffets. You will get tired of it. Please remember that you don’t need to eat at the place your tour guide takes you. Leave the buffet and find a local restaurant nearby using google map. Not only will you save money but the food is so much better. I would definitely recommend upgrading to a flight from Cairo to Aswan. It will be worth it! And Aswan is nice so you get to have an extra night in Aswan. You could upgrade to the train instead but the train is loud and the bathroom is gross. For Day 4, ask if you can stay on the cruise ship instead of the felucca. The felucca is freezing and you will get eaten by mosquitos. And the bathroom in the felucca is disgusting. If I could change the itinerary of this trip, I would skip the last day in Cairo (day10) and go to Jordan. It would also be nicer if the flight from Cairo to Amman is earlier so you have more time in Amman (but this would be hard to control with airline schedule). With that extra day in Jordan, it would be nicer if we could stay overnight at Dead Sea enjoying the mud mask and floating. With the current itinerary, we only had 30min at the sea and felt rushed. The staff actually shut the water off so we couldn’t wash off the mud on our faces. Overall, this trip was one to remember.
