What people love about Active Tours in Turkey
- The Aegean Legacy
It is worth taking the extra day in Istanbul at the start, and maybe more than one as there is a lot to see which is not on the tour and it is great place to just wander around. We were disappointed that between visiting the archaeological sites, which were sometimes a bit rushed, we were used as a captive audience for carpet and leather salesman. If someone in your group shows any interest then be prepared to hang around for ages while they attempt to close the sale. We would have preferred to have had a little longer in bed.
- Turquoise Blue - Fethiye / Kekova / Feth
The crew were outstanding and the food was excellent. However the boat was a tired old heap which needs maintenance which is not carried out due to back to back charters which is greedy and not fair on the crew trying to cope with a boat which broke down several times and we had smell of diesel in bedrooms when motoring making the rooms unusable and the smell of holding tank unbearable in two rear cabins. The good review is due to your staff who work very hard for you.
- Hiking Turkey's Lycian Way
This tour was incredible, one of the best experiences of my life. Accomodation and transport were as described so keep in mind the village stays etc as outlined in the tour info. Hosts (Turkish people) were always so hospitable, and food was always plentiful. Our guide was excellent!! The walks were awesome, I did find the uphills challenging, but the pace was decent, so I was always ready and able to go again. The final walking day includes a boat ride and swimming, it was the best feeling in the world. I would also like to add that costs in the tour are minimal, I spent so little while on it, it was a real bonus.
