What people love about Rajasthan Tours
- Classic Rajasthan
My 1st Intrepid trip, Fantastic. Intrepid and local guides very friendly and knowledgable, I was very impressed with Intrepids philosophy of Not insulating you from the local population. We lived in peoples homes or hotels nearby. Also visit the tourist hotspots and go to very remote towns and villages, Xmas in a restored Fort, and New Year in a Palace. I loved this trip and I spent 1 week down in Cochi - Kerala, Highly recommended trip.

One of the best experiences of my life! We had both an incredible group and tour leader, which made this an unforgettable three weeks. While I enjoy solo travel, there is also a special bond that you develop when travelling in an extremely unfamiliar environment with a group. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Amazing cultural tour: colourful and lots of joy
Travel Rajasthan your way
Explore a wide diversity of safari tours through Rajasthan. We have 34 adventures that vary from 3 days to 16 days. With the greatest number of departures in April, this is also the most popular time of the year.
See all Safari toursThe active tours in Rajasthan really shine when combining wildlife and culture. Morning and late afternoon game drives in Ranthambhore National Park put you right where Bengal tigers, leopards and sloth bears roam freely. Our naturalist guides know all the prime spots for wildlife photography and exactly how to position vehicles for the best viewing. What works so well is how the days flow - you might spot tigers at sunrise, then hop on bikes to explore ancient forts by afternoon. Our travelers often mention loving this mix: quiet safari mornings followed by the buzz of exploring places like Chandni Chowk market by rickshaw. It keeps you moving without wearing you out. The overnight stays add something special - you'll rest in heritage hotels (former palaces) or well-appointed tented camps near Pangarh Lake. These authentic places often become trip highlights, especially when paired with activities like watching the sun set behind old forts or joining evening aarti ceremonies at the ghats. Tours typically run 7-12 days, giving you proper time to soak in each spot instead of rushing through. The schedules balance guided activities with free time nicely - join morning yoga, learn local cooking or relax by ancient step wells. Our customers appreciate having that flexibility in their day. Most routes connect Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Ranthambhore and sometimes extend to Jodhpur and also Udaipur. Our expert drivers make these journeys comfortable and interesting, often sharing local insights along the way. Well-maintained vehicles with good AC and plenty of water make a real difference during full-day outings.
See all Active toursOur most popular Rajasthan expedition takes you through the Golden Triangle and Ranthambore in 6 well-planned days. Our customers love how it blends historical sites with wildlife watching - you get to see the Taj Mahal at sunset and again at sunrise, walk through the fascinating ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri and head into Ranthambore National Park to spot tigers. If you've got more time, the 25-day tour lets you go deeper into places like Varanasi where you can experience the spiritual ghats, and out to Jaisalmer's desert landscapes. What really makes these tours special are the guides - they're brilliant at bringing local history to life with their stories. For those who need more flexibility, our private tours let you set your own pace while still getting that deep dive into places like Amber Fort and Mehrangarh Fort.

Top operators in Rajasthan
Based on this information, if you're looking to explore Rajasthan with a reliable tour operator, there are three solid options to consider. Joyful Holidays, run by Sonia Handa, gets consistently good feedback for going the extra mile with personalized trip planning. Their drivers really stand out - particularly Mr. Singh and Mr. Gulab, who travelers say treat you more like family than customers. World Travel Experiences builds excellent itineraries and their guide Mr. Malik gives you real cultural insights rather than just tourist facts. They're good at making sure everything runs smoothly while still keeping things authentic. For those watching their budget or traveling solo, Intrepid is worth checking out. Their tour leaders know how to handle all those little challenges that pop up in India - like navigating busy markets, sorting out local transport and finding good spots to eat. They keep things organized but still let you really experience the local culture. What's nice about all three companies is they focus on genuine experiences rather than just ticking off tourist sites. Each has its own approach, but they all seem to understand that having the right people - whether that's communicative owners, skilled drivers or knowledgeable guides - makes a huge difference in how you experience Rajasthan.

"I can't recommend Joyful holidays enough. From the first contact we've had excellent service. Communication with Sonia and her team has been second to none, with every concern handled with patience. We have been very impressed with the professionalism of everyone involved with our holiday and haven't experienced any issues. Our driver,Ram, picked us up at the airport and has been with us throughout. His courtesy, friendliness and driving skill has helped us to enjoy the experience so much. At every stop we have been provided with an excellent guide; having someone with us to explain the history and help us navigate has been invaluable. We especially enjoyed Sam in Udaipur, as well as Khan, Dilip and Harry. They all felt like friends by the end of the day. And Sonia has always been on hand to answer any query and help us whenever it's been needed. We've thanked our lucky stars every day we've been here that we decided to choose Joyful. An exemplary company

Discover Rajasthan tours for every budget
Our budget tours through Rajasthan pack the key experiences into 6-7 well-planned days covering Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with time in Ranthambore National Park too. You'll get two completely different views of the Taj Mahal - once as the morning light hits the marble and again when the sun sets. There's a fun mix of must-dos like rickshaw rides through Old Delhi's maze-like streets, visits to Amber Fort and tiger-spotting game drives. What our travelers really like is having enough scheduled activities while still getting free time to wander the markets or find local dining spots. The drivers know exactly where to stop for the best photos and cleanest facilities during the longer road stretches.
Our luxury heritage tours stretch 10-14 days and put you right in the heart of Rajasthan's royal past by staying in actual converted palaces. The little touches make these special - you'll be greeted with flower garlands and get to enjoy cultural shows in palace courtyards under the stars. Our guests love gliding across Lake Pichola in Udaipur at sunset, taking private elephant rides at Amber Fort and dining by candlelight in desert camps near Jaisalmer's golden dunes. Local guides in each city share fascinating stories about the royal families who once called these palaces home. Many travelers tell us their favorite moments were in Jodhpur, where their rooms looked out at the massive Mehrangarh Fort rising above the blue city.

The evenings are special too - you can try authentic local curries while watching cultural performances right at your resort.

Our couples tours through Rajasthan run 10-14 days and focus on unique stays in converted royal palaces - you'll be greeted with traditional ceremonies and fresh flower garlands when you arrive. Many of our guests tell us the evening shows in palace courtyards are magical, especially when paired with intimate candlelit dinners. The Lake Pichola boat rides in Udaipur at sunset and private elephant safaris at Amber Fort tend to be highlights. In Jodhpur, we book rooms with direct views of Mehrangarh Fort, while near Jaisalmer you'll sleep in luxury desert camps under the stars. The pace works really well, mixing guided experiences with plenty of time for couples to wander and discover on their own.
Our younger travelers love the active 11-15 day tours that combine culture with outdoor experiences. You'll see the Taj Mahal at sunrise, track tigers in Ranthambore National Park and ride camels across the Thar Desert dunes. What makes it work is how we balance structure with freedom - join the group for major sites then head off solo to find hidden gems in local markets and food stalls. The overnight trains between cities add real character to the journey, and our guides know just where to take you for the best lassi in Jodhpur and most Instagram-worthy shots in Jaipur's bazaars. It's perfect if you want to tick off the big sites but also get away from the usual tourist spots.
