This was an amazing introduction to the colour and movement of India, with its many incredible castles and forts, as well as beautiful rural areas and villages, elevated to another level by our outstanding guide, Khushwant Karan.

We had an amazing trip to India, New Delhi to Rajasthan, hotels were good as standard trip, and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Every destination, Taj Mahal and the forts in Rajasthan, was mesmerizing. The cultural experiences, especially the camel and elephant ride and the boat ride, were unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour for a Indian history and culture experience.
- by SusanRajasthan wonderful its was best! Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and Jaisalmer were all amazing, each with its own charm. The hotels were comfortable. The guides were excellent, and the tour was perfect. I recommend for anyone visiting India!

We were first-time visitors to India for 3 weeks and this was our first trip to the country. Overall, we had a very nice experience through the trip, which served as a great intro to the country. The tour was well organised, and had a good balance of sightseeing, guided tours, safari and nature - all with smooth transportation and nice hotels. Our driver Sonu took good care of us, was extremely friendly and polite. He was an excellent driver, smoothly navigating the busy streets of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, as well as the hillside roads of Ranthambore and introduced us to the local culture. The schedule was well structured, with days well spread out and plenty of nice sightseeing at each stop, making the longer drives feel not that long and totally worth it. We chose the 4 star hotels option, which proved to be of good quality, ensuring good sleep and rest. Communication from Sonia (organiser) prior to and during the trip was also very clear and professional - pleasant being in her hands. If I would make one recommendation to the organizer, it would be around the Ranthambore stop - It would be good to ensure adequate English proficiency of the actual safari tour guide. Potentially, the safari team could split the visit groups more in locals only, vs. mostly foreigners. In addition, if there could be a way to ensure a good zone allocation, that would also help the tour a lot. Overall, would very much recommend the tour!
- by Viktor DolhainThe tour had some great aspects, but there were also a few areas that really need improvement. Cons: The tour is advertised as female-friendly, but I didn’t find anything particularly tailored for women. In some instances, it felt a bit unsafe. We had a different tour guide each day, and I was never told in advance who they were or what they looked like. This made things feel disorganised. This meant that any random person could have approached our vehicle claiming to be our guide, and we wouldn’t have known any better and I think clearer communication beforehand would have made a big difference. The biggest letdown was the Ranthambore safari. The tour is sold with tiger photos, but we were booked into the buffer zones (6–10) rather than the core zones (1–5), where tiger sightings are more likely. Given we travelled over four hours to get there, this was really disappointing and felt like something that should have been made clearer before booking. Pros: The hotels were all lovely and well-chosen. We had no issues with the accommodation. Communication via WhatsApp was quick, although it was evident that the operator didn’t have direct control over the tour arrangements. Overall, while the accommodation was great, the lack of organisation and misleading marketing about the safari left me disappointed. There is a lot of room for improvement, especially in ensuring better communication and transparency for guests.

Accommodation large spacious room in beautiful garden setting / breakfast cereal, fruit, omelette, toast and coffee / dinner at local restaurant with flavoursome curries and with local cultural entertainment in courtyard / safe courteous driver / saw tigress within 30 mins of entering Ranthambhore National Park / Overall, a very satisfying excursion
- by Graeme DohertyWe had a brilliant time exploring India. Over 14 days we visited Ranthambore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Agra, Rishikesh and New Delhi. Everything was organised well and even though we didn’t spend long in each place we were really able to get a feel for the cities and see everything that we wanted (and more!) I would really recommend Flavours of Taj, especially if it is your first time in India (as it was for us) - they really took the hassle out out of the trip and made sure that we were comfortable at all times.

Hotels were very poor where most of them were located far away from town. Some hotels don't have toiletries available and beds had bugs and I was bitten and the beds were dirty. The driving conditions in India was quite daunting, luckily our driver made it comfortable for us. He was warm and an excellent driver. He kept us safe throughout the entire trip. We had a different tour guide for every place we go to which we found unnecessary as we could have gone to these places without a guide. We felt like they were just there expecting for a tip. They were on the phone most of the time. Overall, this trip wasn't enjoyable as I expected. Although we have seen all the sites we wanted to see, the driving was very long and tiring.
- by Dennis BonifacioA very well organised tour that covered a lot in a short time. Hotels were adequate & clean. Some tourist traps laid by the local guides but nothing too pushy & best navigated with firmness & humour. Make sure you ask for Mr Anand. He is possibly the best driver in the world & takes care of anything & everything!

I recently completed a 14-day tour of Rajasthan with Payless Tours, and it was an extraordinary experience. While I initially expected to join a group, I found myself traveling solo. Despite this unexpected twist, the tour was wonderfully executed, showcasing the professionalism and commitment of Payless Tours. From the start, their communication was exceptional. They responded to my queries swiftly and efficiently, both before and during the tour. This level of responsiveness reassured me and set the tone for what turned out to be an incredibly well-organized journey. Everything went smoothly, thanks in no small part to my driver, Prakash, whose tireless energy and genuine desire to please were remarkable. His dedication made all the difference, ensuring I felt comfortable and cared for throughout the trip. The tour itself was a sensory delight. Rajasthan is a land of stunning contrasts, vibrant colors, and warm hospitality. The local people were welcoming and often eager to be photographed, adding a personal and memorable touch to the experience. Shopping opportunities were plentiful, offering unique items I never knew I wanted, and the entire journey felt like a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition. Ranthambhore National Park, a highlight of the itinerary, delivered a serene and authentic wildlife experience, even though I didn’t manage to spot a tiger. It was a reminder that nature is unpredictable, and the park’s unspoiled beauty more than made up for the absence of tiger sightings. The local guides were mostly excellent, providing valuable insights and enriching the experience at every stop. However, in a couple of instances, language barriers made communication a bit challenging. While this was a minor drawback, it didn’t detract significantly from the overall quality of the tour. Accommodation throughout was excellent, with comfortable and well-maintained hotels that added a touch of luxury to the journey. The balance of sightseeing, cultural immersion, and relaxation was thoughtfully planned, ensuring that every day brought something new and exciting. In summary, this was a fabulous, well-planned, and beautifully executed tour. Payless Tours deserves commendation for their attention to detail, excellent organization, and the warmth and professionalism of their team. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering a journey through Rajasthan.
- by Jane RallsA very well thought out and cultural tour. We believe it gives you a good taste of the best parts of Rajasthan. Neeraj the organiser was very reponsive and Prakash our driver was 1st class, nothing was too much trouble.

The star was Mahendra the driver, he was calm amongst the chaotic traffic and road condition. We enjoyed the itinerary , we have different tour guides for each city some are more professional and better than others. Note that the entrance fees could costs up to usd 120 per person. The distance on the road varies from 3 to 5 and 8 hours drive being the longest in between cities.
- by WeekenExcellent driver, very helpful, accommodating and punctual. Very knowledgeable guides in each location. Accommodation varied from mostly good 3 stars, some in heritage buildings, to a couple of questionable 2 stars.

Our tour was a private trip for 10 days. The communication with MTA was excellent and the itinerary was very well organised with local guides in each destination. We had a very skilled and safe driver called Vimal. He was very friendly and always very helpful. We highly recommend Vimal. The car was so clean and Vimal was always on time and so well presented.
- by JulieMy husband and I booked the Golden Triangle of India With 4 Star Hotels - A Group Tour. As others have pointed out it says group, but you do not know if it will be a group or just yourselves until the tour starts. It was just the two of us on this tour. Our driver Raj was AMAZING! The driving in India can be panic-inducing for Westerners, but Raj kept us safe the entire time. He was very considerate, we always had cold water, he opened our doors, helped with our bags, stopped when we needed to, and even got us beers for the road. The itinerary was very clear, but we were not clear about pick-up times. It turned out those would be determined each day by either Raj or our tour guide for the day. Fine, just a bit confusing at first. Overall we were pleased with our hotels and felt that they reflected the 4 star description. Our first tour guide was only starting to give tours in English, he was fluent in French, so our first day in Dehli was a bit challenging, but we made it through. Vinny, our guide in Jaipur was our favorite and one of the best guides we have had anywhere in the world. Just a note - each guide will try to take you somewhere to see how things are made, this is of course in hopes that you will buy something. We agreed to go to the textile shop (and spent way too much money) so when the next place was going to be a jewelry factory, we said no thank you, and were very clear we would be buying nothing, so we skipped it. Feel free to be blunt about going to these types of places. Of course, you can always go and buy nothing. Overall, we were very pleased with this tour and the itinerary.

Surya is the most incredible tour guide you can imagine. India uncovered was a life changing experience with him playing the most part of this. He’s such a knowledgeable man and will teach you so much about India as a country, their beautiful architecture, the fascinating origins of Hinduism and everything in between. He explains things in a simple but conclusive way and it’s not overwhelming in the slightest. You’ll come away from India with the best mental fact file anyone could provide. India itself left us speechless- the buildings, the people, the culture, the food: it’s nothing short of astonishing. TruTravels will show you parts of India that feel like you could be anywhere it’s so surprising how picturesque a country can be- especially Pushkar. This tour will show you life through different eyes you’ll meet the most incredible people and make a difference doing so with the Salaam Baalak Trust walk and the desert clean up highlighting this perfectly, this is a company who evidently want to make a positive impact in every way possible, not only to the people who go on their tours but also to the communities and cultures that make exploring such a beautiful country possible. Being introduced to local families and cultures is eye opening and so beautiful, they treat you with upmost respect and love you will never feel anywhere else. The whole tour Suri made the greatest effort to include everyone, check up on you, make you feel safe and act as every kind of person you need he’s so incredibly heartwarming and will make you feel so welcome in India. He’s the most optimistic person and will do everything in his power to make you’re experience one of a lifetime, whether that means giving up his water for you or getting you into exclusive parts of the most beautiful ancient palaces. It’s guaranteed that you’ll come away from this feeling so calm and peaceful from all the temples and holy places you’ll visit and so grateful for everything you have back home when you’re shown how beautiful life is through TruTravels tours.
- by caitlin wignallSuri was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I was delayed due to my flight on the first day and he was so helpful and understanding. He has so many connections and will do anything to help people on the tour. If you need anything, he will try his best to make it happen and will speak to locals to try get you the best deals. Everyday was fun with him, he was always in good spirits and laughing. You can really tell he is passionate and knowledgeable and I really felt like part of the family on this tour. This was my first Tru Travels tour and because of the experience with Suri, I will definitely be booking another!

- by Conor SmithWhat an amazing experience, getting to see the incredible Taj Mahal and seeing tigers in the wild! The accommodation is beautiful and makes for a comfortable stay. To top it all off, our tour leader Yoni was fantastic. He ensured that we had everything we needed, made us laugh throughout and was incredibly caring. Overall, a great way to capture all the highlights of Northern India.
