First trip to India and Nepal and it was extremely exciting and adventurous! Our driver Vivek Sharma was a proud ambassador for his beloved country. Driving in a regular passenger car (our group only had 3 guests) made you feel that you were right in the middle of life in India/Nepal; providing a very immersive experience compared to a tour bus or minivan. No one had really prepared us for the lack of roads in Nepal, but those rides made the trip even more memorable. Vivek expertly&safely drove us on this 15-day journey and he proudly shared some of his life stories with our group. In every town we met up with local guides. MJ in Jaipur and Uday in Varanasi were exceptional; seeing India through their eyes was a privilege and fun. There were lots of amazing activities crammed in this well-organized 15-day tour, not just the magnificent sightseeing, but all of the road stops for coffee, tea, meals and of course the bathroom breaks (LOL) made the trip a real adventure! This certainly was a very amazing journey; highly recommended, but what made it so very special was our warm, funny, dependable, proud, and caring driver Vivek. Thank you Vivek!

I have just completed a 10 day tour with Payless which my Sydney friend booked for us. This was my first ever tour, having backpacked previously many years ago. I was a little apprehensive to be honest but from the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We were greeted by our driver, Vivek for the 10 days. He speaks fantastic English and was very welcoming. Our starting point was Delhi for our 10 day Heritage, Golden Triangle tour. All our guides, without exception were incredible. Their knowledge was truly amazing and we learnt so much from them about each site and the history of India. One of our friends had a recent operation and was not able to undertake every single guided tour. Each guide was so understanding, particularly when we requested a 'condensed' version so we could return to the hotel sooner than planned. My only feedback would be to possibly extend the trip a few days if you have the holiday time as some of the hotels were so lovely we would have loved some more relaxation time in them. Also, we did prefer more sunset timing than sunrise, which was not for us as we preferred leisurely mornings! Everyone was very accommodating in this regard. But the star of the show is Vivek, he is absolutely wonderful. Firstly, he is the safest driver, very highly skilled. No speeding, always alert and mindful of our needs and any stops required en route for toilet and coffee breaks. The most important aspect was how flexilbe he was with us. We changed the itinerary, start and finish times constantly. He was completely at our service. He liaised with all the guides everyday to amend timings, often with only an hours notice depending on the health of our friend. He did all this with grace and kindness and we cannot thank him enough. Do not hesitate to book Payless Tours, fantastic experience and good value. You will be very lucky with all the guides and particularly if you have Vivek as your driver. Highly recommended. Thanks again for all the very special memories. Our experience with Payless Tours far exceeded my expectations. They worked with us to modify our trip to personalize it. Traveling with a private driver offered us flexibility, convenience, and the air conditioned car was a comfortable way to explore our stops. We were lucky and able to experience two separate drivers Prakash and Mithun. Both were great drivers, spoke great english and fun to travel with. Highly recommend a trip to India. All the hotels we stayed at exceeded my expectations with the cleanliness, tasty food and friendly staff.
