I was a bit skeptical booking this trip on Touradar as there wasn’t any recent reviews but I took the chance and all I can say is.. I’m so glad I did! It was my first Intrepid Tour but will not be my last. I have done previous tours with a younger cohort but really enjoyed the mix of ages. India- The Golden Triangle Tour up to Agra. My Group Leader was Juhi, a really sweet, patient and knowledgeable group leader. The first hotel we stayed at was very basic. The area wasn’t great but I’m guessing because it was close to the metro subway, that’s why we stayed in this area. We took the metro to a few activities which was pretty cool. There were a few days where we spent a lot of time walking in the sun which I loved but it might not suit every one. For a lot of the temples we had guides which was brilliant but I suggest looking up some the history prior to going so you can really engage. We visited a gem factory, a carpet factory, silk factory and though these sound boring, it was super interesting and no obligation to buy. I regret not buying something in the silk factory- all traditional silk ways of making things. We did a food tour as an additional activity booked through intrepid and it took us to amazing street food! The Taj Mahal was incredible, I thought it would be jam packed but we went at golden hour and it was perfect. For those wanting to get a snap without people in it, you can ask a photographer there to photoshop people out! Jaipur the pink city was so nice after the chaos of Delhi. The hotels we stayed at for the rest of the trip were lovely! For the second part of the trip, some of us who were continuing on, joined another group. Our group leader was Neeraj (Nicky) a very patient, hilarious inclusive leader. Nicky was very experienced and even organised outside activities and accommodation for after the tour (I was able to get a discount so would recommend talking to intrepid about accommodation before and after to get the best out of your trip). The highlights were seeing 8 one horned rhinos in Chitwan National park, being so close it looked at us a few feet away ( set your expectations low and you will not be disappointed). Kathmandu was incredible also. If you’re wondering if this tour is for you: There is a night train that isn’t every one’s cup of tea but Nicky made it as relaxing as possible. There is a bit of physical activity-walking, climbing in and out of boats, camping, tuk tuks, Nepalese roads are extremely bumpy also so if someone has back issues, it may not be the best tour (best to speak to intrepid prior to booking). My only criticism was that when we went camping on the Ganges river (prepare yourself to be do wee and poo in a hole) was that the boat we took was a row boat and it took a fair while to get there (they were sleeping in between!) would have been a far better experience if it took less time eg a motor but it was a brilliant experience none the less. Clothing wise: I brought some cotton pants, scarves as you need to cover up going to the temples. Go with no expectations to both India and Nepal and you will have the most amazing time! Food is cheap also! Thanks for a trip of a life time intrepid!

I had a good time on this tour and my guide Dilaram did a great job showing me around the Nepali countryside at the foot of the Annapurna range and I learnt a lot about Nepali culture through him, though there was a bit of a language barrier at times. He is also a great photographer if you're looking to get nice pictures of yourself with the mountains. Although if you are looking to properly explore the mountains and nature, I'd recommend booking a different tour, as this was very much just a walk in the villages and always a stone's throw away from the city. I was slightly disappointed by that, but it was my fault I didn't read the description properly. If you're looking for a chill and easy walk in the fields and villages, this is the tour for you. To give you an idea, the first day was a steep ascent of 600 meters that took less than 2 hours, followed by a check-in to the guest house and a lunch break, followed by a 2-hour stroll in the village. The second day was a 6-hour walk to Saranghkot, followed by a check-in to another guest house, lunch break, and then about a 2-hour stroll around the village (but that's flexible depending on how much walking you're up for). The final day was just a 2-hour steep descent to the foot of the hill, followed by a visit to the local temple after which I was picked up and driven back to my hotel.

Wonderful tour was just what I was looking for and thank you
- by Kate Mcrorie-cokerOverall lovely trip. First hotel - Hotel Perfect - in Dehli we found to be inadequate. Hot water only 2 hours a day and was pretty dirty. Chitwan National Park was quite a appointment. We thought this was to be one of the highlights of this trip.

We booked the Langtang valley trek with Tour Radar and paid extra to have a guide - Dipesh and porter - Milan, who were invaluable, kind, patient, great humour (they were 23- we are 50!) especially when my friend was unwell at the top of the valley. Great company to use, good consistent communication beforehand and during our stay in KTM. The package included a guide with a privatee car for a few hours to see the cultural hotshots in KTM before the trek and who also dropped us off for our onward flight at the end of the trek. We stayed in hotel moonlight in KTM before and after the trek which was comfortable with a good restaurant and spa attached where we had very reasonably priced treatments. Great value. Great customer service. Great trek itinerary and amazing staff on the ground. Would def. recommend.
- by Natalie OwenGreat 10 day trip. This was the right amount of time in each country and each location. The various local tour guides and drivers were helpful and friendly.

Good tour with excellent guides. they were really professional and knowledgeable. we also had a excellent driver to get us to all the cities and temples. Nepal was awesome!
- by Donald de PalmWe did tickets to India, didn't get an option to select that. Their team members were calm and understanding. We are 80 years old couple from London, Sam who dealt with our query & Booking made it as easy as he could in ensuring we got what we exactly wanted including seats with more legroom. I would use their services again. Gurdeep Kochhar

Our trek to the Annapurna Base Camp in early December 2024 was an unforgettable adventure, impeccably organized by Dil Gurung and his team. From the flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara and back to being picked up in Pokhara and meeting our guide and porter, renting sleeping bags and a duffle bag, every detail was handled flawlessly. Our knowledgeable guide, Iman Gurung, and our very strong porter, Laudi Gurung, were incredibly helpful and always there when we needed them. Especially on a day when we weren't feeling our best, they took great care of us. We thank Dil, Iman and Laudi for this amazing experience. If we come back to Nepal for another trip, we would be happy to do it with the same team!
- by David BaurAlpine Ramble was simply incredible from start to finish. My wife and I decided to do the Annapurna Circuit for our honeymoon. We found Alpine Ramble online and booked our trek directly with them. They customized our trek based on our schedule, took care of all tourist and trekking permits, car and plane bookings, etc. Once we arrived in Kathmandu, they picked us up and dropped us off to our hotel. The next day, Dil from Alpine Ramble came to our hotel and walked us through the entire trek itinerary. He also introduced us to our wonderful guide, Nir. From there, we embarked on the trek. Every step of the way, our guide, Nir, and our porter, Raju, were incredibly kind, gracious, thoughtful, helpful, and trustworthy. They cared about our experience, how we were acclimatizing, what we ate, and even the kind of room we got at the Tea House. We are so grateful for Alpine Ramble and for Dil, Nir, and Raju. They were professional and friendly and made our honeymoon wonderful. A truly life-changing trip made possible by Alpine Ramble!

Wonderful experience exploring the amazing cultures of India and Nepal. The hotels were comfortable, but we upgrade, all the guides added value with insightful commentary, and the tour coordinator made sure everything went off without a hitch.

- by Vivian LuoI recently had the incredible opportunity to embark on The Dragon Trip tour to Nepal, and I can confidently say it was a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, the tour exceeded all my expectations. The Dragon Trip team was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly friendly and approachable. The itinerary was thoughtfully curated, allowing us to explore the rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and hidden gems of Nepal. Whether it was hiking to the top of Poon Hill for sunrise over the Himalayas, visiting ancient temples and monasteries, going on a safari and seeing wild rhinoceroses or immersing ourselves in the vibrant local markets, every day brought new and unforgettable adventures. One of the highlights of the tour was the world class 3-day hike we went on. The Dragon Trip ensured that we had authentic cultural experiences, from participating in traditional ceremonies like meditating in a cave, to a local cooking class of Momo making. These encounters gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation for the country and its people. The accommodations throughout the tour were comfortable and well-chosen, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The Dragon Trip also took care of all the logistics, making the journey smooth and stress-free. Their attention to detail and commitment to safety allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience without any worries. I cannot recommend The Dragon Trip tour to Nepal enough. It is an adventure that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or new to exploring, this tour is perfect for anyone seeking a blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

This is the second time that I've opted to do a hike with this company. Administrative matters were sorted out seamlessly, and the team accommodated our requests. Our guide Buddha was very resourceful and patient. We managed to, in spite of monsoon rains, get a beautiful view of the mountain ranges at Ghorepani. Highly recommend.
- by Xin Lin ChengThe Everest Base Camp Trek with Sherpa Expedition was a remarkable adventure that surpassed all my expectations. The blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and expert guidance made this trek an experience I will cherish forever. Organizational Excellence: From the initial contact with Sherpa Expedition, it was clear that this was a well-organized operation. Their pre-trek briefing was detailed and informative, covering everything from the physical demands of the trek to the cultural nuances of the region. This level of preparation was crucial for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Guides and Support Team: Our guides, led by the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Lakpa, were instrumental in making the trek successful. Lakpa’s deep understanding of the terrain, weather conditions, and altitude management was invaluable. He and his team provided constant encouragement and support, ensuring that every member of the group was comfortable and well-informed. Trekking Highlights: The trek itself was a series of unforgettable experiences. Starting from Lukla, we were treated to stunning views of the Himalayas, and each day brought new sights and challenges. The trek took us through charming villages, dense forests, and across high-altitude meadows. The acclimatization days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche were particularly well-planned, allowing us to adjust to the altitude and explore the local surroundings. Cultural Insights: One of the most enriching aspects of the trek was the opportunity to engage with Sherpa culture. Our guides shared fascinating stories about their traditions, and we had the chance to visit ancient monasteries and witness local customs. These cultural experiences added a meaningful dimension to the trek, making it more than just a physical journey. Teahouses and Cuisine: The teahouses we stayed in were comfortable and provided a welcoming retreat after long days of trekking. The meals, prepared with care and attention, were a highlight of the journey. I particularly enjoyed the variety of dishes, from traditional Nepali meals to international options, all served with a smile. The Base Camp Experience: Arriving at Everest Base Camp was the culmination of the trek and an experience I will never forget. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest peak and taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains was a powerful moment. The sense of achievement and the beauty of the landscape made the entire trek worthwhile. Safety and Comfort: Sherpa Expedition’s commitment to safety was evident throughout the trek. The guides were attentive to our health and well-being, and their proactive approach to acclimatization and altitude sickness ensured that we were well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

Nepal: Himalaya Highlights National Geographic Journeys was a wonderful journey to see the highlights and experience the culture of Nepal. Nepali people are warm and friendly. The trip was very economical for the sights, accommodations, and included meals. Unfortunately, the single supplemental was quite expensive! Our guide, Narayan, was outstanding! He had wonderful people skills in dealing with the ten travelers in our group who were from all over the world. He was quite knowledgeable about the culture, history, and geography of the country. He ensured that we departed on time and savored the all the flavors of Nepal! My recommendation would be to add a couple of days to the trip so that travelers could spend more time in Chitwan National Park, the Annapurna Mountains, and Pokara. The trip was very fast-paced and would have benefited from more free time to savor the sights and sounds of our journey. There was never enough time to relish the scenery or take photographs of this amazing country!
- by Toleda SpencerTravelling with G Adventures to Nepal was an outstanding adventure of numerous insights into the the beautiful, diverse landscape and culture of this small, awesome country between India and China. The Himalayan and Annapurna Mountain ranges are exquisite! Words are so inadequate to describe this beauty of God's creation! Each day was fast-paced and filled with new wonders to behold! The Nepali people are very warm and friendly and go out of their way to make the traveler feel "at home." Lodging and meals were quite nice. What a privilege to travel under the expert guidance of Narayan Tamraker and with our small group who added much to an overall wonderful journey!
