If you're even considering this tour, we highly recommend you book now. This tour is a great way to be introduced to Senegal and Ghana since they offer two different experiences but both in West Africa. If we could do anything differently, it would only be to add on the 2 day tour to see Saint Louis in Senegal because we would have liked to spend more time there. Our tour guide in Senegal was Abou and our driver was Ibou. Both were absolutely fabulous. Abou was willing to teach us about his country including some phrases in Wolof, answer all our questions, take us to delicious restaurants to try local food, and make sure we were always taken care of. Senegal is an amazing country with extremely welcoming people and a rich culture. In Ghana, our tour guide was Elvis. This tour is a good introduction to Ghana from bustling Accra to local crafts in Kumasi to the beautiful Cape Coast/Elmina area with its educational history. The people of Ghana were also very welcoming and we enjoyed the food and culture. This is a great local company with local guides and a local perspective. This trip truly enhanced our lives.
- by Paul EyerlyWell organized tour. Pullman was the best hotel other hotels need little upgrade and better breakfasts. Best were the guides: Abu in Senegal and Martina in Ghana. They had a profound knowledge of both countries respectively and tried the best to accommodate us with places ,food and shopping. Martina was going above and beyond looking for strange food that we wanted to try, good pictures we wanted to take. She even lended us some local money when we got short and even mailed our postcards. We can wholeheartedly recommend her to anybody who wants to travel to Ghana.

Mr Lamp Fall (Mamadou Diagne) & his driver Doudou were both simply amazing guides. I felt very safe with them. The tour itself was fantastic - the itinerary was great! My only recommendation was to add Djouj Bird Sanctuary (which we did, per Mr Fall's recommendation & per my request as well), I realize that portion is seasonal. I also recommend making it very clear that the tour Starts in Dakar but ENDS in Saly- it was a little confusing because there was a discrepancy between what the itinerary said versus the actual VOUCHER. Also, a faster responsiveness from both Tour Radar and/or the tour operator would definitely make a positive difference! I also suggest adding on the "Things You Must Know list" = is to add that most places we went for shopping do NOT take credit cards so to bring lots of CASH (for shoppers) & small change as many merchants seemed to be short on change. Also to bring personal toilet paper as many public bathrooms do not have it. Otherwise, the tour overall was FANTASTIC & I highly recommend it!!
- by Jennifer Capobres AlmonteThis was a lovely trip, off the beaten track, seeing some of the highlights of Senegal. A really interesting eye opener as I really did not know what to expect. My tour guide and driver were really lovely and looked after me (I was the only person on the trip). I loved the variety in places I stayed from a standard hotel to desert tent to cute resort hut to a more refined beach resort. There are very long drives to get from one place to another so that is something you need to be prepared for, more time driving than at the sights, however I saw a lot of real life in several Senegalese towns from the car. The national dish of thieboudienne did not make its way on tourist restaurant menus, but after saying how much I wanted to try it, my tour driver took me to a place to try it on my final day...it was worth the wait :). This trip has a lot of spare time in the evenings so plenty of time to rest ahead of the next day. We usually set off soon after breakfast, between 8am and 9ish..so sociable times and on most days I was dropped off at my accommodation at around 5ish. So a big thank you to Dioudiou the driver and my tour guide Mr Jang (I think that was his name, we got introduced after I got off the plane and I didnt double check!) for their wonderful hospitality, it felt like having my own little family abroad.

Most reviewers like to talk about the highlights of their trip and I could do that. There were amazing things to see. Walking with lions was something I'll never forget and it was a great adventure. But let me talk about some lowlights. My flight out of Chicago was delayed, so I was one day behind and my luggage didn't arrive. This is what Africa for Tourism, Yusuf , and Alou (my guide) did for me. They completely rearranged the schedule so I could still see the things I wanted to see. Alou took me clothes shopping, so I had something until my clothes arrived and acted as my bargaining agent as always. He found ATMs for me When luggage finally arrived they drove it several kilometers to where I was staying. I had a friend in Senegal, Alou offered to drive me to her house, something above and beyond. Alou found field glasses for me, since mine were in my luggage at the time. Most tours can handle the expected, but it's when the unfortunate things happen that it's their moment to shine. Tourism for Africa did that. Please look at the brochure to see all Senegal has to offer, and know that if use Africa for Tourism, you will be well cared for.
- by Darren JacksonGood driver guide. Good variety of places to visit-big city, small city, resort in a village, and the camp was fun. Lots of good food, and nice hotels.

The cruise on the river Gambia was great, I could not believe it was so quiet.
