Europe Castle Tour Companies

This was a comprehensive tour of Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria arranged very efficiently by Balkan&more, especially Ivona. All the arrangements went through smoothly, and our guide Igor and driver Zika were very professional and competent, and very friendly and nice too! They all took good care of us and we are very happy with the services received. We definitely recommend Balkan&more for any travel arrangements in the Balkans. We enjoyed every moment!

The tour itinerary was really good and the guide and driver were very patient and kind. The hotels were good but the tour company could have considered alternatives, specially in Belgrade, where there is only 1 elevator which allows only 2 people to travel in it at one time. Not very useful.

Sean was a wonderful tour guide/driver! From sharing Irish History and stories, to traditional music and songs, it was always a great travel day.

The Seven Day Atlantic Way Experience - Small Group Tour was amazing! We visited several small towns and villages, and Killarney National Park. Also saw spectacular beautiful views, including Cliffs of Moher and the Dingle Peninsula. We also viewed a sheep dog demonstration on a working farm. I learned a lot about Irish history and culture and really enjoyed my time in Southwest Ireland. Our tour guide, Sean, went above and beyond expectations. Sean also made travel arrangements for me when I discovered I had made an error on my return itinerary. The guide, meals, transport, and accommodations were all excellent. I highly recommend this wonderful tour and cannot wait to go back. Thank you Sean!

Fabulous tour, the guide Leonora was excellent, so knowledgeable about the region in general and right down to the intricate details of the towns, war monuments and chateaux we visited. Accommodation was comfortable. Our driver Priscilla was so professional, and talented at getting a full size coach through the winding narrow laneways of many old villages.

This is an excellent tour, well organised and interesting. It was led by an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide (Amelia). Accommodation was very good . Overall the tour was a great experience.

Marcus was funny informative and made this tour excellent. Loved the pace and all the places we stopped Only suggestion would be to have cup holders on the tour vehicle.

Just returned from a brilliant holiday to Transylvania. The itinerary was perfect and our guide, Traian was superb. He provided an excellent insight into how this part of the country had evolved and was always making sure we were happy with every aspect of the trip. The travel director was amazing! Loved all the sites and accommodations!

On our 9 day trip we have 4 different leaders. The first group was Hispanic and the tour guide spent most of her time speaking Spanish and not translating it to English. As the week went on there were fewer English speaking travelers and more Spanish and less English translations. When we stopped and got off the bus the tour director got off and started walking, not waiting for people to get off the bus. There were 60 people in the tour and she was often a block away. It was hard spotting her our when other tours were mixing in. Most of the tour leaders did not have flags to follow. One had a water bottle she occasionally held up, but she was quite short and it was hard to locate her. Each guide should have a flag. One night tour I followed the wrong group but, luckily, the bus was late and I rejoined my group. On prior tours (different company) there were schedules in the hotel lobby giving times to meet in the morning and an itinerary for the next day. We could capture it on our phones and knew what to expect. We did cover a lot of ground but this tour was chaos.

plan included visits to "castles" but castle were closed on days of visits which was quite disappointing. Castles were actually manors. Visit to museum was very good. More information on types of cycles would have been good. Should have better access to water while riding (ie have accessible water holders on bike.)

Wonderful trip. Blue skies the whole time. Our guide was exceptional, both knowledgeable and well spoken. Very professional.

Poland was an amazing country. The people are resilient and welcoming. The itinerary was packed and it might be nice to have a few late mornings. All local experts were knowledgeable, approachable and honest about their country. We were surprised initially that the tour had 40 people, we anticipated “ small group” to mean 10 - 15, however we have made several new friends.

Poland is a great country, however the itinerary is much too structured and fast-paced. There was no time to just enjoy the city without getting information overload. Everything was on a strict time constraint. There needs to be in a change in the itinerary, and for the price that was paid I much rather go with another tour operator. That being said I will say the food and the accommodation work great as well as the tour leader.
