Departure Airport
For all bookings that include a scheduled flight, Frankfurt Airport is included at no extra charge. Connecting flights from many airports in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland can be added for an additional fee starting from €100 per person, in coordination with the long-haul flight to and from Frankfurt.
Rail and fly
With Rail&Fly, you can travel free of charge and environmentally friendly from any DB (Deutsche Bahn) station within the entire DB network by train to the airport. The direct connection of Frankfurt Airport to the long-distance rail network is especially attractive – a real alternative to domestic connecting flights.
Extension Programs
Many Chamäleon trips offer extension programs to enjoy before or after your main trip. Unlike the base programs, there are usually no quotas for these extension programs. Therefore, after receiving your travel registration, the availability of the extension program will first be checked. Depending on the occupancy, additional charges may apply for the extension program.
Accessibility
Chamäleon trips utilize a variety of transport modes and accommodations. Continuous accessibility cannot be guaranteed, so Chamäleon trips are generally not suitable for people with limited mobility. We are happy to advise you on your specific needs and chosen destination.
Chamäleon Foundation
The Chamäleon Foundation supports 60 projects worldwide, aimed at helping disadvantaged people or protecting nature. During your Chamäleon trip, we invite you to visit these projects and surprise you with gifts made there. Every additional euro donated by our guests goes directly to these projects.
Half Double Room
On adventure trips, solo travelers can choose between booking a single room or sharing a double room with another guest of the same gender. If you opt for a half double room, no extra charge applies on our adventure trips.
Children on Trips
In general, Chamäleon trips are not suitable for children under eight years old due to the nature of the program. For family trips with younger children, we recommend booking an individual modular trip to Tanzania. We look forward to your inquiry.
Chamäleon Trips - Save the Forest!
Our Rainforest Foundation has already purchased almost 29 million square meters of primary rainforest in Ecuador and placed it under protection to stop deforestation and actively combat climate change. When you travel with Chamäleon, 100 square meters of rainforest will be transferred to your name.
Travel Documents
We will send your travel documents no later than two weeks before the trip begins, including the flight schedule, an updated day-to-day program, and, if applicable, your Rail&Fly tickets.
Seat Rotation in the Minibus
In your tour minibus, seats are not pre-assigned. We recommend regularly rotating seats within the group. This means you will sit in a different seat each day, allowing for a new view and ensuring fairness.
Accommodations
For our Chamäleon trips, we reserve rooms well in advance. However, it can happen that a specific accommodation is unavailable on certain dates. In this case, we will reserve a comparable alternative for you and place the original accommodation on a waitlist. For extension programs and Tanzania travel modules, no pre-reserved contingents are available.
Seat Reservations on Flights
Do you prefer a window seat, love an aisle seat, or want more legroom during the flight? We are happy to arrange seat reservations for you, starting from €20 per person. Of course, any available seats can also be selected for free once online check-in opens for the flight.
