I did a 9-day tour to Madagascar in October 2024 organized by Travelia safari. I had dreamed of visiting the country for years and Aristide and his team helped make it possible. Aristide was extremely professional and prompt in providing support/advice during the planning process. He arranged for me to visit the avenue of the Baobabs, Kirindy Forest, Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, and other sights in and around those areas. I would highlight recommend choosing Travelia safari for your trip of a lifetime to Madagascar. This is one of the most beautiful and unique places on Earth.

What an experience, from the commencement of planning, thru some issues arising on our end Travelia Safari could not do enough to ensure our experience was excellent. Make no mistake the journey can be rough as you travel deep into outback Madagascar, But enjoy the journey and all it brings. The accommodation can be more or less pending your desire, but we were at no point left needing, and or felt at any time a safety issue Our guide Mr Tovo, was at all time extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and well presented. The Baobab Trees were excellent, and further on to Tsingy Tsingy well worth the experience. Madagascar is raw, and growing quickly in tourism. we would highly recommend a visit.

We had an amazing trip to Madagascar with Travelia. Since we only had one week and wanted to minimise travelling within the country, Aristide drew up a custom timetable for the Eastern Wonders tour. Although the road trips were slow (and very exciting) the destinations were well worth the effort. Lovely accommodation and the national parks and nature reserves were amazing. Lemur island at Vakona Nature Reserve was a great introduction to the lemurs and provided good photo opportunities, but they are effectively semi-captive. The real highlights were the aye ayes at Palmarium, the giant Parson’s chameleon, leaf-tailed and satanic geckos at Maromizaha Reserve and seeing the indri and black and white ruffed lemurs in the wild at Mantadia and Analamazaotra Forest. The diversity of frogs and smaller chameleons were also amazing. Our dedicated guide Coco and driver ensured everything went very smoothly with local guides there on time to meet us at every site we visited. All in all a brilliant trip but we barely scratched the surface of what Madagascar has to offer and can’t wait to go back. Just be ready for the bumpy roads.
