We saw a few different very interesting Mayan archaeological sites, diffrent Mexican cities and areas and went on an adventurous boat trip where we saw wild animals such as birds and crocodiles. One of the things that could be improved for the tour are some of the hotels. The hotel quality varied in different cities. For example the hotel on arrival in Cancun was very nice. Others weren’t that comfortable especially in Valladolid. Unfortunately the room had a bad moldy smell in the air and therefore it as hard to sleep and rest. I was glad we only spend one night their. - Sabine· August 12th, 2024It was a private tour- just us 4 and with Miguel our guide and Edgar our driver. Everything was perfectly organized with clean and save hotels. Evenings we always spent walking into town/ surroundings to have dinner. The tour itself is amazing - great sights. Expect a lot of driving the last days. It helps to speak a few words of Spanish ( Edgar did not speak English) and to be a bit more independent in the evenings.Show more

I was only able to communicate with destination services only via Tour Radar. The guide was very knowledgeable and the driver was on time. - TGTRACY· June 6th, 2024The tour was great. The guide was very well informed regarding the Mayan civilization and the driver did a great job. The accommodations were good and the food was great. Realize that all of the areas that are on the tour (and all of the Yucatan Peninsula) you will be getting a lot of sun and it is hot there. Bring a light colored yet thick enough to block the sun umbrella and sunscreen. A hat is also recommended when not using an umbrella. Miguel was so knowledgeable, personable, and experienced. You could tell he was passionate about his work and the Mayan ruins. We really enjoyed listening to all the information he had throughout the trip. We were looking for someone who would orient us to each place we went so we wouldn't have to do the research ourselves. We travel to new places to get a flavor of the place and Miguel exceeded our expectations. He also did ALL THE WORK of securing admission tickets so that we did not have to wait in any long lines. Along the way, he took us to some wonderful & always delicious restaurants for lunch. He also advised us on good places to eat dinner in each of our hotel stays. Miguel is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide with a good sense of humour. We felt very safe in the hands of our driver, Edgar. All of the hotels were decent and centrally located. We had a minor issue with the airport transfer to the hotel as we didn’t see anyone holding out a sign with our name. The assistance contact number provided by Destination Services was useless, no one answered when we called. - HLHeather· February 28th, 2024We met a wonderful group of people which always makes it easier. Our group was smaller (12) which gave us flexibility. Sights are amazing and well worth seeing. Both our guide and driver were very passionate and brought a wealth of personal and cultural information to our group.. Pickups from the airport and drop offs all ran smoothly. Not alot of room to fit luggage in the large van so pack with restraint is thoughtful, we left half our luggage at the hotel we were returning to, but not everyone can do that... Accommodation was great, on occasions had a pool, which is nice. Food excellent.
