The tour is great! We have seen all Big Fives, including the most elusive leopard. The landscape is magnificent! The tour guide, chef, truck and gam drivers are all pleasant, responsible and helpful. There are a few things I wish I had been informed before the trip: 1. Visa for both Kenya and Tanzania; 2. Bring sleeping bags, towels and toilet paper (this is esswntially a camping trip); 3. Plenty of small bills of USD be cause it's the preferred currency from tourist. As long as you are well-prepared, this is a tour if life time!
- by Jeffrey WangThis trip was a well-organized adventure that exceeded all my expectations. Itinerary: The itinerary was perfectly crafted, balancing game drives, cultural experiences, and downtime. Each day was filled with exploration, whether it was tracking the Big Five in the Maasai Mara or visiting a local Maasai village to learn about their traditions. The mix of activities kept the trip dynamic, and I appreciated how the schedule allowed for some flexibility—our guide often adjusted plans based on wildlife sightings and guest preferences. Guide/Driver/Chef: Our guide, Elijah, was a true gem. His deep knowledge of wildlife and the ecosystem enriched every game drive. He had a knack for spotting animals from miles away and shared fascinating insights into their behaviours and habitats. Beyond his expertise, Elijah was incredibly personable, making the experience feel more like an adventure with a friend than a standard tour. His commitment to the local community shone through, adding a meaningful layer to our experience. Special thanks to Ammos and Judy. These 3 made the trip unforgettable. Overall Organization: The trip's organization was impeccable. From the moment we landed in Nairobi, everything was seamless. Great care was taken to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout the trip. Overall, this Kenyan safari was an adventure of a lifetime. The stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich culture made for a perfect blend. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough—it’s a must for any nature lover or adventure seeker! I’m already dreaming of my next visit to Kenya/Africa!

The guide is just great. Joyce s support very good. Bad 1st lodge. Springlands Hotel, too expensive food: Tummy problems afterwards. Unfriendly. The other lodges very good.
- by Susanna Signer-FischerThe safari was very impressive and exciting. We saw a lot of animals between September 30th and October 5th, 2024. The night safari at Ikoma Wild Camp was also exciting. There we saw lionesses hunting at night. At the Serengeti Lodge, 3 buffalo were standing in front of our balcony at 7 a.m. The day before, elephants 🐘 walked through the camp (at dinner time). Everything was calm and civilized. After the elephants moved on, the guards brought us safely to our lodge. Unfortunately, we didn't see any Big 5 because there are only a few rhinos left in the Ngorongoro Crater.

Just being out there on an African Safari was a very special experience for those of us who had never done this before. The Tortilis camps were beyond comfortable and the whole experience was very special.

We had the most wonderful experience in Uganda. Everything about this tour was excellent - it was perfectly organised and included once-in-a-lifetime activities, kind and accommodating staff, delicious food, beautiful accommodation and fantastic communication throughout. We told our lovely tour guide, Allen, that we wanted to try some local food so she brought us to the home of an acquaintance, who cooked us a big feast. Richard was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. Before the tour, there were times I e-mailed Richard when it would've been in the middle of the night for him, and I still received a response minutes later. At one point the A/C in our car stopped working, and the next day Richard sent out a new car with working A/C for us to use, despite us being on the other side of the country (we never requested it - they were just very proactive!). He picked us up from the airport (quite rare for a tour CEO to do so) and called me at the end of our trip to discuss our experience. The staff really went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We really couldn't have asked for anything more and we’ve come home with a lifetime of amazing memories. Right now I want to go back to Uganda!

My biggest concern was that I was the only person under the age of 60yrs old. Since the tour is billed as "16+" I was expecting some older people, but to be half the age of everyone else made for somewhat of a lonely trip. Especially since they complained and argued a lot. At no point during the booking process did the agent I dealt with reveal this a possibility, nor was there the opportunity to communicate with other participants where I could have learned about this age gap. Because if I had known, I would have tried to find a friend my own age to come along or picked a different tour. In terms of the actual tour, I found it to be on par with other companies. The sceneries were lovely and accommodations though basic, were nice and clean. I spent the summer travelling through Africa with different companies/groups and found the accommodations and activities to be comparable to what Exodus offered. The only difference was that I paid significantly more with Exodus. With the other companies, we were responsible for our own tents and cooked meals as a group; Exodus took care of this for me. But for me, I was perfectly capable and willing to pay half the price and taken care of these things myself. Perhaps this is standard because the groups skew older and need this, which only reinforces that this company is not for solo travelers in their 20s & 30s.
- by Jordan BruceThis trip was really great. It hit all the highlights I wanted and then some extra. Facilities were actually better than what I expected for tent camping. The crew was great. Trip was organized. Email communication was good, but getting ahold of a live person was a bit of a task. I loved that they used locally owned and operated hotels and outings. I would definitely use this company again.

- by CLAUS MARK RASMUSSENWhat a trip of a lifetime! Strongly recommend traveling Africa with Oasis - it was a truly unforgettable experience! I did the 75 day Nairobi to Cape Town trip with on average about 13 people. I’m so glad I did the entire route as it really gave you the chance to experience the diversity of Africa. It felt a bit tiring towards the end but I have no regrets. If you did want a shorter trip I would recommend Nairobi to Nairobi or Nairobi to Vic Falls - although Namibia is AMAZING! The truck itself is great - the line of seats down both sides of the truck are perfect for ensuring you socialise with everyone and relationships don’t get too cliquey. Great way to play card/board games, sleep and admire the amazing views. I sometimes get car sickness and it didn’t happen at all on the truck! The truck had UK charging points, drink bottle holders and speakers to plug music in which were all very handy! My tour leaders were Often and Alexis. Often was the most amazing guide you can imagine! After 75 days on the trip I learnt that there was nothing he couldn’t do! He was so helpful with fixing anything that broke - air mattress, zips, tyres etc not to mention helping with a million other things - when he saw you struggling to fit your tent into its bag, making his famous garlic bread for your cook group etc. He cooked the most delicious food! He always ensured his beloved truck was in perfect working order. He was so open in sharing his life experiences and ensured we fell in love with Africa just as he had. Essentially, the trip would have been very different without him. Like Often, Alexis has been doing this route for years and it showed. She was very organised - with the days and border crossings always going smoothly. She was great at making sure if there was a specific African meal or something we wanted to see that wasn’t in the itinerary we would get to experience it! Alexis was also really helpful when it came to meal times. The food cooked by Alexis and Often was some of the tastiest meals I’ve ever had! So yummy! Being in a cook group can be a bit of a pain but it’s a great way to get to know everyone, learn new recipes, have some laughs and foster that family feeling. I spent a lot more money than I thought I would but you’re only in Africa once (hopefully more)! There are a lot more atms available than what the info Oasis provide states. You also don’t need as much USD as it implies as you do end up using local currencies in the countries you’re in. For me, I had a tonne of USD so I just exchanged it at the borders and rarely used an atm. In saying that, having too much USD actually worked out well as some people didn’t bring enough so I was able to help them out. There will be supermarket/grocery store stops about every 3 days too so there is no need to bring all your toiletries etc. The tents, dorms etc were absolutely fine! Tents are really quick to put up and down and are comfortable. There are upgrades available and a few of us always took a dorm room if it was less than $8. My number one tip is to buy a pillow at the start of the trip - you won’t regret it! Bring a spare set of headphones and flip flops because so many of us lost or broke both! Don’t worry about over packing - you get a lot of space to store your things. I’d also recommend bringing binoculars for all the game drives - we were always fighting over who got to use the two that we had! Do both of the village walks in Malawi and make sure you go down the slide in Jinja! Overall, it was just the most amazing trip. I have travelled quite a lot but never seen and experienced a place like Africa and I’ll always be so thankful for the memories and friends I now have.

Our Guide, Praise was wonderful, especially on the return to Arusha day when we ran into a protest. Praise went the extra mile to make sure we all felt safe, secure and that things were under control. Thank you Praise! The facilities at the lodge were lovely and the camping was good, but don't expect hot water when staying at the camps - especially Ngorongoro - The food throughout was amazing and all credit to our cook - HOWEVER - the hotel we were booked into on our penultimate night in Arusa was not great, again no hot water and it was right in the middle of town and very very noisy. A place outside the centre with a garden to sit in would have been lovely and much nicer after being in a land rover for 4 days and basic camping. I would also suggest that a day going to the Falls and coffee plantation whilst really interesting could have been better spent with an extra two nights in the Serengeti as it was somewhat underwhelming end to our fantastic safari where we saw such a lot of cats, birds and the Lepoard with her cub was the absolute highlight. The falls/coffee should perhaps be more of an add on or side trip. Also it should really be pointed out at the briefing (first night) that there is an hour long uphill hike to reach the falls, some of our party could not manage it and had to wait in the village. On the whole it was a great trip and really good value. We would do it again.
- by Sharon MatthewsThe tour organizers were great from start to finish.bthey communicated with me from day one, answered all my queries, sent information in advance and were willing to address any additional need we had. The tour driver was very experienced and ably navigated all the game drives. The surprise and the best part was having our own cool who accompanied us and ensured we were well fed for the duration. He was passionate about his skills and ensured that we had an abundance offerings each day. While other tours provided box lunches, we have freshly cooked meals. Lucas and his team ensured our every needs were met, from collecting us at the airport to dropping us back for our return legs. I was extremely satisfied. I would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. Big up to the Team! Many thanks!

We loved our safari with GoExplore Safaris. Brian, the owner, put together a great itineary. Our first driver in Tanzania, Stanley, was fantastic. He was patient, kind and knowledgable. We always felt safe and we learned and saw so much with him. The Serengetti was everything we hoped it would be. After a few days in Tanzania, we crossed into Kenya and joined our next guide, Joseph. Joseph was equally amazing. We enjoyed his company he assured our time in Kenya was memorable. We saw so much in Maasai Mara thanks to his expertise. On the Uganda side, we met our lovely guide, Rachel. We loved learning about life in Uganda from Rachel. She taught us a lot about the local customs, food and way of life. She has a great eye and made sure we saw lots of wildlife during our long hours in the car moving from one location to the next. We loved our time in Uganda and made memories to last a life time gorilla & chimp trekking. The only suggestions that may have made this trip better would be 1. an option to upgrade hotels for an additional cost (most hotels were more than fine but it would have been nice to upgrade if different/better accomodations were available), and 2. An option to fly between some locations as we spent a lot of time in the car (I will say the drive was beautiful, despite some roads not being great and we saw sooo much more of Africa than we ever have before flying in bush planes). We booked this late and during busy season and we are absolutely satisfied with our experience. Thank you Brian, Rachel, Stanley, Percius and Joseph for crossing this incredible adventure off our bucketlist. :)
- by Alexandria SalinasI did a 11 day safari with GoExplore across Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. I had an amazing time and the guides in each country took really good care of me, were very professional and great at their job. I saw so many animals in the Serengeti and Masaai Mara and on the chimpanzee and gorilla treks. It definitely helped to have GoExplore assist with the whole coordination of the safaris across the three countries and they really took the time to personalise the trip to my preferences. The accommodation arranged at each of the respective countries were clean and comfortable. Beyond the safari itself, they also helped coordinate a trip to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Uganda on very short notice. Communication was great. I would highly recommend booking a tour with GoExplore.

The tour operator is untrustworthy. The safari planner was the worst person I ever met. He stressed us to change our plan and forced us to have a private tour in Masai Mara and sleep in a very cheap hotel while we payed for having an accommodation upgrade. Lots of lies: finally I cannot even stand his presence. We paid for a safari balloon but they didn't booked and invented that the safari balloon was cancelled due to weather conditions. What can I add more?
- by Roberta CarrisiWorst experience of my life, and i did more tjan 100 countries( 25 in africa). They change the schedule every 5mins, no one of the company is telling you the same thing. They make us change our flight because they did not organiz correctly the trip. They make you pay all the entrance fees (if you can do not) even if you don't go. And for the refund you need to go in a battle. Also , they always make you pay for more things don't follow what is write in the optional only. Entrance fees, other parks,... I don't recommand you this company.

Itinerary okay, too rushed though. Visit some amazing places though. I'd say a great tour but not a great experience with other white travellers as a POC. Better to book with locals directly tbh.
- by AnonymousAfter a bad start, where I has not been communicated of a new hotel accommodation in Boulevard Hotel, I first took a taxi from the airport to the Heron Hotel, I paid 3,400 shillings. Then when I realized that the orientation meeting was been held in the Boulevard hotel, I had to take another taxi, and I had to paid 2,000 shillings. But after this moment everything was a wonderful experience.

Amazing touring experience, could not recommend more highly. Food was of restaurant quality - much better than you would expect on a mountain! The team gave us all the assistance we could ask for, and we managed to summit one day earlier than expected with their support. Our lead guides Emanuel and Man Man kept us going the whole way - thank you so much!!
- by Joe MarksWe did the Kilimanjaro climb via Lemosho route in 8 days. The Spider Tour team has been fantastic. The team was led by guides Brayan and Stefan plus 12 porters (yes it takes a lot of manpower to haul all the food, water, gas, tents, baggage...). They've been extremely professional and friendly and the whole experience has been a delight (although quite intense, basic fitness and training is highly recommended). The food was incredibly good and very generous quantities, we still wonder how the cook was able to deliver these super nice meals with the restrictions of a camping kitchen. We summit Kili one day in advance thanks to very favorable weather and return to moshi to rest a bit. We were so happy about the experience that we ended up doing a 4 day safari with Spider Tours right after.

Amazing! Albert was super responsive and helpful with all my questions, beforehand. The trip is super well planned and organised, just the right length, great safari jeep. Kibo Camp was amazing and our guide Benson was incredible, super knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Amboseli and excited to show us this world. It could not have been more perfect and Amboseli is so worth it, I’m glad I booked it over Masai Mara, as the views of Kilimanjaro just really added to the whole experience. I cannot reccomend this tour and Exciting Africa enough!
- by EvelineTour was very good. At the time of booking we should be told that there would be extra for the safari fee . We would have paid right at home instead of in Nairobi.
