Our guide, Aquilino was great. Besides being knowledgeable and friendly, he obviously loved his culture. The basic trip was not too strenuous. Tikal was my favorite. The extra excursions were amazing but strenuous though we are glad we did them. We did ATM caves, which was amazing but strenuous and a bit scary….the water was deeper than normal so that added to complexity. We enjoyed the snorkeling in Caye Caulker.
- by Rebecca CantrellThe trip is really good, we have a small group of 4 ladies. Our tour leader Gracias Amigos who was knowledgeable and took good care of us. In Antigua, he hosted us lunch at his house. The most incredible thing was visiting the ATM cave in Guatemala, an optional activity which cost USD125.00/pp, but it was worthy.Besides, We have Jack Sparrow, who was an assistant guide of this tour, he was an nice guy as well. But I had to say, in San Ignacio, our hotel was too noisy, it was in construction and one day the wifi wasn't available.

My main point of contact was Raul. He and the team did a spectacular job. Lots of memories and unforgettable moments. The tour was packed with activities that didn’t involve being in transport for long, yet had free days to either relax and explore on my own. I couldn’t imagine a better group of guides along with perfect schedule.
- by Stephen Matthew PoindexterHad a great time experiencing Belize & Guatemala. Ed, our main guide as well as the other guides for different adventures were all great! We added an extra day in San Pedro (recommend) and very glad that we did to get in all the extras!

This was a fantastic holiday but marred by one serious incident occuring on the snorkelling activity at Caye Caulker. The Anwar operators were negligent and while adjusting my snorkel I was left behind to fend for myself with my group nowhere in sight. No buddy system was put in place and there were at least another six groups in the area making identification of my group problematic. I had no other choice but to swim against the swell to the boat some distance away. It look me at least 30 minutes to reach the boat, totally exhausted and I am a good swimmer. Other members who stayed on the boat noticed a lone swimmer but none of the crew! On reaching the boat the Anwar skipper was angry with me and said it was my fault which greatly upset me. I stayed silent as I was upset by his outburst but after lunch the whole crew gave me 'special attention' on the next two snorkelling sessions, implying they realised that my complaints were justified. However this is not about me but I fear that a future participant who is a poor swimmer could be in real danger. Further evidence of them not monitoring me was that out of all the photos taken of the Exodus snorkellers I was not in any! However the rest of the trip was great - our tour guide Jorge was informative, helpful and went the extra mile. The tour was well organised with good transport, accommodation and food. Reef experience - see previous comments. The reef/coral was not in good health and the only colours were the purple fan corals. The fish such as the rays & sharks were attracted by the operators feeding them. Climate change and acidification of the oceans has impacted reefs all over the world so perhaps they are best left alone without the impact of hundreds of snorkellers in a typical day?
- by Janice ClemonsHello, you're selling a Belize tour, but the picture you're using is from Final in Guatemala, please be careful with that, because, Guatemala and Belize don't have a good relationship. If you want to sell Belize use pics from there, Guatemala is a completely different country.

While my husband and I enjoyed the sights of mainland Belize and Caye Caulker, we would not do another tour through VIBE Adventures based in Mexico. The Belizean tour guide that was hired by VIBE was informative, but often did not check the daily itineraries and made several changes, which bothered others on the tour. He went home every night, but could be contacted on WhatsApp. He charged me USD$50 for a 4 mile drive from the airport to the hotel (and I gave him USD$10 tip), and I was told days later by others on the tour that it cost then USD$30 to take a taxi for the same trip. I forgot my phone at the airport upon arrival, so the guide went back to get it for me, I give him another USD$50 and USD$15 tip for his troubles. AT the end of the trip, he send me a message on WhatsApp about why I didn't give him another tip at the end of the tour! No others in our group received this request and he accommodated them substantially, so very unprofessional of him, and I cannot speak for the other group members why they chose not to tip him. I stayed with him during physical climbs because he could barely climb stairs, etc. On transfer to Caye Caulker, he did not know if someone else was going to meet us there for the tour, this shows poor communication between VIBE, the tour group and our guide. I don't want to focus on the negative aspects, and learning about Mayan culture and all activities were wonderful.
The tour gave a great, eventful overview of the diverse Belize with its unique, beautiful nature, especially with the great apes and jaguars, as well as the wonderful underwater world. Unfortunately, the guide was bad, he knew a lot about the history of the Maya, Belize as a whole and about the flora + fauna, otherwise he was little interested in our well-being (he simply left out or doubled various meals (then gave it again free of charge in the accommodation), water was only bought in the heat + hikes after repeated requests, was often annoyed by our questions about what we should take with us on e.g. 3-hour tours, etc.). He was very poorly organized etc (often too late, gave no information about it + overall hardly any information about the daily schedule, did not know the tour, the location of the accommodations (often without breakfast or what to buy) etc.). Despite inquiries and program point he did not show us e.g. the Maya Beach + did not say a word about our 2 days Caye Caulker + only said goodbye to us quite suddenly before at the water cab in Belize City (without breakfast possibility). The different accommodations were mostly great, often unfortunately without the possibility to buy something.
