Could have used more info in advance. Overall a good trip.
- by peter condichOur independent tour of the Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu was excellent in some ways and very disappointing in several others. The itinerary was generally wonderful and we enjoyed visiting the artisans and sights. Our guide lacked compassion, communication and understanding especially for my elderly mother. He often walked well ahead of her and us as we stayed with her. He did not listen when we asked for the easiest route in Macchu Picchu and even started us on a higher route before he realized she could not make it. He did not offer enough breaks for her. We also wasted hours in a café in Macchu Picchu due to his poor planning. We had several other guides during our trip to Peru and he was the worst by far as he was difficult to deal with.

An extremely well organised tour. Our guide Monica was an amazing guide. Monica went out of her way to make the trip safe, enjoyable and comfortable. Our chef Vidal made an amazing variety and quality of meals each day. Our chief porter Juan did a great job organising the porters. Katy in the office was good to deal with in the lead up to the hike. I highly recommend the 4 day Inka trail hike. We had 14 porters carrying 20kg each for the 6 paid customers and the attention to detail was awesome. The Inka ruins we saw along the way and MachuPicchu was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
- by Simon BattBig shout out to Trexperience, I don’t know if they ever had a customer as confused as me, I must have changed my mind 20+ times during the booking process over which tour I wanted, what dates would work and what equipment I needed as well as with my travel arrangements even after the trek was completed. They remained patient and kind throughout and accommodated all my needs. The trek was exactly what I was looking for. Tour guide Manolo is so deep and passionate he truly brought the mountains alive for me as well as steering us clear of the crowds and ensuring we had the best experience possible. Tour guide Meliton was an angel, taking beautiful care of the whole group throughout, what a treat to be woken in the morning with a coffee poured by Meliton. Head porter Toro always had the warmest smile for us, the whole porter operation was clearly on point. And our chef Celso and sous chef Juanita -I don’t know how they were able to produce such luxurious feasts everyday that were clearly cooked with love, just amazing. Overall, it was simply a privilege to be looked after so well on this once-in-a-lifetime experience, thank you so much Trexperience!

This was an excellent trip from start to finish. The guides especially Wilson at Macchu Picchu were amazing. The drivers, in particular Freddie as well as all the people who met me at various places and took me to and from hotels and airports were on time, courteous and friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone, especially if you are travelling solo as I did.
- by Donna HallisseyOk so this did not turn out to be a coach trip ... This VIP private tour was exactly that. Every day I was well looked after, my very own tour guide (super knowledgeable, all tickets, hotels, transport taken care of for me) for the price for 5 days I would 100% recommend this agency and Peru. I woke up every day excited as to what I was going to see and learn. With a good balance of private and tour time for anyone at any age. Peru was different to how I imagined safe, clean, friendly and somewhat untouched by the outside world still. Now that I have broken the ice with mainland Peru, I will definitely be going back, next time to the Amazon. December was most agreeable in terms of temperature and tourists.

Very impressed with your radar.haf quick response to all questions and queries
- by RhonaWell organised tour. Everything given in Spanish and English, which does drag things out a bit, but I guess is necessary. Good lunch (trout). A good way to see a big part of the lake.

We enjoyed the tour you provided very much. But the shower system of hotel is not very good. We have to wait hot water came out for a long time. The other services of hotel are good.

My first time in South America traveling alone, I was lost between all the different options for the tours online. I came on UnuRaymi’s website by accident and wrote to them on WhatsApp. They were incredibly responsive and took the time to structure the perfect tour for me. Starting at Lima, all the way to Cusco, the rainbow mountain, the amazon jungle and Machu Picchu, I felt very well taken care of and I would recommend them to anyone trying to travel to Peru !
- by Amir ShahidiAs a group of 5, we really had a fantastic time, the scenery was beautiful, the hike somewhat little difficult but we all manage. But the best of all, our tour guide Herbert was great he went beyond means to meet all what we need especially our safety. He's a great tour guide I wish that we can have him the whole time of out tour. Rainbow Mountain was magnificent, what a beautiful landscape. Lake Titikaka was a very chill place, the family we stayed at were beautiful family, mommy Rosa made sure that we are all comfy during our stay & well feed hahaha. Our hike to Santuario Pachamama was one of kind to watch sunset, it was really great experience. We wish we could stay longer but there is always a reason for us to come back.

I won’t have enough characters to describe my gratitude for my entire experience with Waman. Beginning with Liz during my reservation process, she was so attentive and promptly responsive. Then all the way through to the last drop off back at the airport, I have never experienced such an exceptional tour company. The highlight of my experience was my tour guide, Papa Freddy. His passion for what he does and what he knows made everything exciting and a memory of a lifetime. There’s no price tag on that. I was also sick with a chest cold on top of altitude sickness and Freddy did everything to accommodate my needs. I can’t imagine the experience having been any more perfect without Freddy looking out for me the whole time. I am forever grateful. He is a major asset to your company. Thank you for a first class experience from the beautiful hotel rooms, to the clean and comfy vans, to the ease of the excursions, to the friendly staff, and again for putting Papa Freddy as my tour guide (and Wilbur for Rainbow Mountain). Lucky lucky me. I will DEFINITELY use Waman again and will tell all of my friends about you guys. Thank you!!
- by Holly HilesI had the opportunity to take this 10-day tour, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. Every activity was well-organized, allowing me to explore breathtaking landscapes, fascinating cultures, and the incredible biodiversity of the region. The highlight of the trip for me was the visit to Puerto Maldonado. There, I immersed myself in the Amazon rainforest and had the chance to observe various species up close, including caimans, turtles, and monkeys. The presence of the guide was essential, providing valuable insights and making the experience even more enriching. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure full of nature and discovery. As a tip, I suggest bringing lightweight clothing to stay comfortable throughout the journey.

I can’t begin to say how much I have loved this trip! It is truly a once in a life time experience and Roger made it even more amazing. Even before the trip, he was in contact with our group to introduce himself and encouraging us to get to know each other. Then from the minute we met in Cusco, we were one big family! Words cannot describe my gratitude and love for Roger and Peru, it’s been incredible and I’ve loved every second of it! My favourite highlights have been the trek to Machu Picchu, which was spectacular, as well as karaoke and clubbing with our family and Roger, as much as he doesn’t like to sing. He has taken us to his favourite spots in Cusco, both for food and culture, as well as sharing his proud knowledge of culture and histories of Peru, which made the trip even more magical. Peru is an amazing country, packed with colour, enthusiasm and happiness, it’s magical scenery will have you breathless! This trip has been amazing and Peru is my favourite country so far, and Roger has been a huge part of this! Thank you so much!!!
- by Keara KirknessThis was my nd TruTravels trip and I truly believe this one will be hard to top! From exploring the local markets and vibrant culture in Cusco to all of the challenging but super rewarding hikes we completed as a group, it’s a trip I will be reminiscing on for months and years to come! My particular highlight was completing our km Inka Trail Hike and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time as a group, it felt so surreal and magical and there’s an energy I can’t begin to explain. Special thanks to our incredible tour guide Roger who encouraged positive mental attitude everyday and was the best guide to showcase his wonderful Peru to us! Thank you again TruTravels and I can’t wait to book my next trip with you!!

Very well organized travel experience. Fantastic meals, surprisingly nice accommodations - at both hotels and hostels. You always have shower, electricity and private bathrooms. All of the adventures (biking, rafting, zip lining—trekking) were facilitated masterfully and flexibly. The Inca Trek to the Monkey House and beyond had breathtaking views of the Andes. Our guide, Jonathan, made great recommendations to our crew- to leave early and beat crowds— so for each of our outings we were almost always there first- and by the time we were leaving we noticed lines forming. Your guide will likely offer you options- I encourage you to go as early as is offered. Jonathan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable without being intrusive. His love for his culture and the local traditions was evident in the way he engaged us. He is highly accessible and will answer any question you may have. Our group had a WhatsApp chat going- so we were always on the same page. This 7 day excursion really had it all. This is the way to go- in terms of seeing one of the seven wonders of the world, learning about the culture, history and food of the region, enjoying thrilling adventures (physically), and meeting people from across the world. There is enough down time built in for introverted types- so if you’re worried about the social aspects- don’t. Insect repellent is critically important. Almost everyone you see has multiple bug bites on their ankles and exposed areas. This is no joke. Hiking pole was useful on the uphill…. Sunscreen. Poncho…. for Nov on (wet season).
- by Wendy E StrattonFirst day of Lima was good with Marco Polo where we had a city tour. We had a great time at Cusco/Machu Picchu/Ollantaytambo with Ernesto as our (private) guide for 3 days. Ernesto was very good with Inka history and explained a lot of the sites we've visited. Since we were the only 2 with Ernesto, the pace was more to our needs while we adapt to high altitude. The bus trip to Puno with Ernos was hard to understand as he talked pretty fast while interchanging between English and Spanish. Amantani island was NOT as expected, as we ended up climbing 300m up the 40 degree slope to get to our homestay for almost an hour. We were so tired from climbing to the homestay, that we couldn't climb further and didn't want to go to the top of the island afterwards. But we found out later, from others, that Ernos gave a history of the island before the trip, that we would have joined to hear the history without having to climb to the top. The next day was Taquile Island, again it was a 20min climb plus 40min hike to the plaza, then later a 545 steps down to the boat. After these 2 days of extreme hike at high elevation, my recovered right knee (had a torn meniscus) was hurting so bad that I couldn't walk properly for a week. We were not warned about the steep hikes at Amantani nor Taquile Islands, or we would not have joined this part of the tour and go to Amazon instead.

Amazing journey through Peru, well organised and with a super knowledgeable and helpful CEO!
- by Ciro BorrielloPretour Comms were great: fast and clear. Tour logistics were good enough and daily communication clear. Few minor aspects unexpected eg additional meal costs, rental of equipment (sleeping bags, mattress). Local guides, porters were great ( as expected). At times the encouragement to tip all service providers felt excessive. Overall a good tour, given the small group and pricing.

Outstanding from start to finish! We actually customized so we could travel for 17 days with Peru, Andes and the Galápagos Islands and we do not think it could have been better.

Loved Peru. I found the people take great pride in their cities, culture and history and it shows in how clean the streets are, how great the food is and how wonderful the guides are. Loved the wildlife, the scenery and archeological sites too. My only downside was the airport.. Delayed flights and when trying to return home, no signage to show the directions from domestic (Cusco to Lima) to international section of airport. When I asked for help, I was told to go out the door, come back in the door next to it, only to find out that I needed to go outside, go to section adjacent and then go upstairs to departures which also had no sign there for "international departures". The LATAM staff gave me the run around on my luggage. One person said it would go automatically to Newark another said pick up your luggage in Lima and transfer to United. My luggage never arrived in Lima nor in Newark. When I arrived in Newark the United people said that LATAM was lying as it is never sent on directly and had to be collected and transferred by hand in Lima. I had to file a lost baggage claim upon final arrival in Canada . Still waiting for news.
