We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Our guide Rui was excellent in his organisation and making sure we all had a great time together. He has great on depth knowledge of all the places we visited including the sites, history, culture and food. The specialist guides through the tour were all fantastic too. We learnt so much and enjoyed the experience.
- by Robert ProctorGuide Summer was terrific, humorous an knowledgable. Tour was overpriced for level of a couple of hotels (Portugal not expensive). Had to pay for farewell dinner, really. Not a very nice gesture. Could have pulled this off by myself and saved approximately $2,500. Boat trip needs to include Duro Valley for this price.

My family and I really enjoyed our trip to Portugal. The tour company made it easy to enjoy the trip without having to organize and research each step of the trip. Each guide did a very good job. We were also happy that we upgraded our tour to have private transfers and upgraded hotels. The transfers made it easy to get to each location easily with such a busy schedule. I also really appreciated the prompt communication I experienced with the tour company. Any time I had a question or needed assistance, I received an answer quickly. I would use this tour company again.
- by KathyWe now booked a second trip with Wonderful Holidays in November - this time, it was a trip to Portugal. The price was good and the hotel & food was top class. Given the high level of service your team provides, we will not hesitate to book through you again and recommend you to our friends. best Mr Mohan

English language tours that were actually in three languages left a lot to be desired. Communications were very limited.
- by Stephen Henry WoodwardA great way to see the two feature cities of Portugal and their surroundings. The location of both hotels was excellent and the Porto one was excellent. The included tours and guides were great particularly in Porto. The Douro Valley tour is beautiful. We were happy we booked the extra day before the tour started. With more days we would have done the Aveiro, Paiva walkways and Arouca 516 footbridge tour which looked fantastic although with a lot of walking. This could be done with optional extra pre-days. Overall very happy with the work Aurora put into allow us to independently move around Portugal without being in a tour group.

Really enjoyed the first part in Spain and Portugal, helped especially by the guide. The Moroccan guide was a disappointment, Chefchouen and Fes wonderful, not sure why we went all the way to Marrakech for more of the same, and the tired hotel didn’t help. So pleased the group was a fantastic bunch. We had a ball in spite of other things.
- by Wayne McKenzieCould have been (should have) a day or two longer. I think there is enough to see in Ponta Delgada to justify a day there. Also, I would like to see the tour end where it starts. In Ponta Delgada.

Trafalgar is an excellent tour. We saw many things in Spain and Portugal. A mix of historic sites . Walking tours. Nights out and photo opportunities. Our tour director and drivers were great. Local specialists were knowledgeable and friendly.
- by Lenora EnglandThe tour was quite good. Stacey the tour director made sure we were on time for all the relevant activities, giving us all the history concerning the different places. This is a very hectic fast moving tour I think Trafalgar should give a better explanation of fitness level required to undertake such an adventure. Many of the seniors complained of the grueling nature of the walks most of them uphill. There is not much free time to do any sort of shopping or site seeing on your own time if you signed up for all the optional tours. The breakfast was good but you were always feeling rushed to get on the bus never relaxed. The dinners were good and the only time you felt relaxed to enjoy your meal. Francisco the bus driver did an excellent job and he is a very helpful, courteous, gentleman.

Their awful service started before I even got on the plane! No guide in Barcelona, left to fend for ourselves, no free dinner on the first night, no notification on safety level for Morocco given earthquake happened, was given someone else's fast train ticket to madrid which caused me to nearly miss the train, or meals at some places, guides were even in the dark at times.... we all got the sense that the whole thing was very poorly organised. And when I sent a formal complaint and completed their survey, their response was just a routine one, with no attempt to reach out and apologise. Never, ever again.
- by Jenny TarantoOverall, the tour was good. The guide was excellent and four of the five hotels were excellent. The included activities were generally good although it would have been nice if some of the optional tours were included as standard. The buses weren’t always comfortable and one had no air conditioning which was very uncomfortable. The hotel in Pico was not acceptable. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent but my first room was damp and I was unable to sleep due to the stifling heat and dampness. The ‘upgraded’ room was still quite damp and stifling but the main issue there was the cockroaches in the room. The location was also disappointing as it was so very far from the nearest village and there was nothing to do in the local area. Several people on the tour developed respiratory illnesses in this hotel. I have photographs of the plaster peeling from the walls due to the dank conditions. Faial was excellent and should very definitely remain part of the tour. The two days in Pico could be removed, an added day could be added to Terceira and Faial and leave Pico as a day trip. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the tour but would have liked more activity like hikes or extended walks and less time spent on the bus.

The Wanderful Holiday staff was easy to communicate with via What's App. Our hotels were clean and in great locations with great staff. We all felt we got a nice overview of all Portugal had to offer on the tours. However, we wish there would have been a person to guide us from our driver drop off point to our designated tour bus or Tour Ticket office that had our prepaid scheduled tour. That was confusing. Our favorite days were the 2 days we had a private guide and transportation for the day in Lisbon/Pena Palace and Porto/Duro Valley. Think that is what we had anticipated more having booked a "group" tour for the first time.
- by Theresa Maria GutweinEnjoyed our stay tremendously. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful, especially Bruno. Rides were on time and drivers were helpful. Seeing Fatima was nice but the overall experience there disappointed. It was basically a long drive out and back. The train rides were enjoyable and something we Americans rarely experience. Porto was lovely and "busy." Very nice accommodations at Porto Trindade and The Patio. The Neya Hotel was rather sterile compared to the others. The winery tours at Fonseco, Croft, etc and the river cruises were a highlight for our group - especially the guide David and bus driver Paulo. Amaranth was a nice stop with the church visit. Frankly, the airport experiences, which was beyond your control, left us disappointed.

- by BenThis trip was absolutely amazing. I had two of the best trip managers, that were not only informative but also would do anything they could to make the trip incredible. The sights, the scenes, the people were absolutely amazing and I would do it all over again.

May husband and I had a good time. However there was one days were we couldn't go see some main sites despite it being included in the itenerary. I was sort of disappointed about this but I believe it was partly due to our groups level of inability to do as much walking as was needed to get to places on time. I think Culture Trip needed to better notify their travellers on their fitness level needed on this trip.
- by Edelaine OsoteoLoved the small group size and diverse ages on our tour of Portugal. The local guide was fun and accommodating. The boutique hotels and their locations were excellent. Loved that we stayed multiple nights in Porto and Lisbon, although I would definitely recommend adding an additional day or two to the beginning and end of the trip as there is so much to see and do in Porto and Lisbon, and the tour gives you but a small taste of these incredible cities. Loved the trip to the Douro Valley and the visit to the small family-owned vineyard, which including an amazing lunch. Be prepared to walk a lot, much of it uphill on cobblestone pathways, and handle your own luggage. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, apart from The Roma Hotel in Lisbon the other Hotels were not exactly inviting to say the least! The extra day in Coimbra was pointless and could have been spent in Porto. Needless to say, I felt the Tour was not worth the money and I am extremely disappointed as I have had better from GAdventures in the past. My 2 friends who accompanied me were also not impressed!!

The Porto sector was very good and we enjoyed ourselves. Porto exudesba different vibe altogether.
- by Waifai LoI definitely got to see the highlights of Lisbon and the Azores, which were beautiful! The hotel choices were great, right in the middle of the city in Lisbon and on the waterfront in Azores. The airfare and transportation was all taken care of very nicely. However, the details listed on the itineraries were not often followed on the tours, and I felt disappointed with some of the experiences. They are also not able to accommodate dietary restrictions on many of the day tours. Overall, I think it is a good tour for those who want to see the highlights in s short timeframe.

I thought the holiday was enjoyable, though the walking was tough at times perhaps above my level. One notable subject was that our guide gave us excellent service and consideration. Only one slight negative was the transport arrandement between the airport and hotel on initial landing (5th) Oct, this appeared to be bady arranged., as I had to call "Explore" for assistance.
- by William TaylorReally enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Mercedes was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations. Overall the itinerary was good. One suggestion I would make is to spread out some scheduled activities over a couple of days. There were some days where too much was planned in one day so it was difficult to cover everything well. Then a whole day was left as free time which was too much. Our guide was able to move things around so that we had less free time on one day but able to do everything well. That flexibility was very good.
