What a great trip and great tour
- by Troy McNamaraIt was well organized and the guides were great. Some of the travel days were a little long. The guides, hotel, and the experience at the south end of the park were the best part.

Just returned after the " the big 5 in South Africa" tour. Well organized and good itinerary. The support was excellent when needed .Thanks to Penny, Rose, Amanda for the excellent arrangements, professional support and daily updates which helped us to enjoy the tour. The guide and driver Abdella was very professional and made the 1000 km drive comfortable and safe. The vehicle provided was comfortable. The hotels were good, clean and comfortable . Suggest the second night stay at Knysna can be changed to Oudtshoorn or George to avoid 2hour drive. Definitely recommand this tour. Antony Thoppil
- by Antony ThoppilEverything is fantastical and well planned. Itinerary is good. However, Knysna stay could be avoided and instead it should be in George. It will surely save couple on hours travel on 2 days of the itinerary. Rest all is simply perfect.

The tour and accommodation was excellent. Our guide Maudi great! Great value. There was an issue with booking originally and the communication thru the tour radar app definitely needs work as we had to call the office overseas when our questions were not being answered. As it was we only found out the tour we had received confirmation on was cancelled the day before our departure - but nobody got a hold of us - it was our panicked enquiry from us to confirm pick up time and location the day before the tour was to depart that brought it to light to tour radar. However the customer service girls Corrine an Mika
- by Rachelle McGregorI highly recommend this tour for everyone who likes to get the highlights of SA. Very well organized, great accommodations, full of activities and of course great food options. Grateful to the TourRadar, which always has options for travelers like me (preferred dates and great tour operators) and make things easy and flexible, makes me safe and comfortable. Grateful to our tour guide Mr. Denver for his continued service, from safe driving, sharing SA history and culture, taking care of guests needs. Thank you!

The tour itself was great and a good experience. I would not recommend it for solo American traveler as the tour guide apparently had a bad experience with Americans and I wasn't able to change his mind on the stereotype.
- by Jodie WebbI had an amazing tour! Gareth was amazing and knows what he is doing. He goes all the way out to please us! The itenary is good too. I loved all the accomodation chosen!

CEO's and everyone else were great. Tour delivered as advertised.
- by nick brascugliWhat an amazing experience! I could not have asked for a better driver (Calvin) and CEO (Johannes)! Johannes was well organized, punctual, and on point with communication. The sites, the safaris (worth every early morning start), would not have been the same without Johannes' passion, knowledge, and diplomacy. The cheetah conservation talk was a definite highlight along with the walk in Soweto. The accommodations were great and felt like many efforts were made to make sure I had access to gluten-free food. My one suggestion (and maybe I missed this as I came late to the Welcome meeting) would be to have more optional group dinners in Capetown.

Great tour guides, well organized. Ideal for first impressions of the country. Some of the accommodation could be better.
- by Jürgen BraunerWonderful guide. Visited places/sites we would not have found on our own. Same with the guest houses.

Our air carrier got us off to a rough start be delaying our arrival into Cape Town by over 24 hours. And we never heard from or located our Globus host in CT to coordinate how to make up the missed events or start an occurrence report to submit for compensation. However, once things finally got going, the trip was great.
- by Frederick MahleyDO NOT USE GLOBUS!!! Cape Town and Makalali Lodge were amazing and would highly recommend them. The hotel in Johannesburg was nice but was kind of a waste of time to go there for 2 nights just to get a glimpse of the Apartheid. That should have been skipped or moved to the end since we were flying out of Joburg and made it a post extension option. Victoria Falls was beautiful but again 2 nights there is too much. It should have been a day tour or just one night. Nothing to do there once you see the Falls. Never any water on buses in the cities and for the price we should have had this and more meals included. The most disappointing part was that our guide, Wendy. Not only was she not very warm or personable, she never waited for the group to gather before going to the sites, but she didn’t travel with us to Botswana. Globus never mentioned this in any pre-trip information and Wendy didn’t tell us until we were leaving for Zimbabwe. She made it sound like she was leaving but another Globus guide would fill in for the remainder of the trip. That was not what happened. When we left Zimbabwe, Wendy flew home, and the rest of the tour group got on bus to the Botswana border where another bus picked us up and took us to the lodge. We were on our own for the rest of the trip. The hotel staff at Elephant Valley Lodge was very nice and told us what we had to do for our remaining time, but we should have had Globus representation. So many things could have gone wrong, and they were lucky that nothing did. At Elephant Valey Lodge, our agenda said we would have morning and afternoon game activities where we could choose from a game drive in Chobe National Park or a boat excursion. It ended up that there was not a morning and an afternoon activity but instead, they made us leave at 8am and return at 4pm on an all-day jeep tour in Chobe National Park. 8 hours in a jeep was awful, hot and boring. This was totally false advertising. The tents at the lodge were similar to the picture on their website but much dirtier and lots of bugs. I wasn’t prepared for that. I would go back to Africa but definitely not with Globus. The part I left out was that Wendy came up to me in Victoria Falls and handed me papers that would be needed for the group for the remainder of our trip to Botswana and then back to JoBerg. She knew that I planned corporate incentive trips for my job so she decided I could manage the group once she left. She did not ask me, she just gave me the papers. I had our hotel certificates for Botswana, our flight information back to JoBurg, I had a list of attendees with their personal information and then my personal agenda. I should not have been given any personal information for the other travellers. I did tell her that I would not accept any responsibility for the group and that she needed to tell the entire group what was going to happen so we all knew what to expect. I said I would carry the papers but not be the point of contact. This was totally not acceptable. I filled out the survey and also sent emails to Globus. They have never responded to me. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. The fact that our guide left, the tour was not what was published, never water on any buses in Cape Town or Johannesburg, and didn’t respond to concerns about the trip is very frustrating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GLOBUS FOR TOURS!!! There are better companies who are less expensive and have more included and way better customer service.

The team managed an extensive tour itinerary really well. They were prompt, attentive and responded to our requests at all times. We had a party of 7 and many details in the itinerary including flights, special needs like wheelchairs, safari rides, guided tours, sea cruises, etc. The team executed everything well! The local guides in particular were wonderful. For the future, I would recommend 2 improvements - 1. make the duration longer by a couple of days. The itinerary was packed with activities each day and a 1or 2-day downtime would have been good. 2. The weather in Cape Town was terrible. It rains a lot in winter and is a known issue. We should have planned ahead for it.
- by Anindya BanerjeeOur honeymoon vacation through South Africa was amazing! We got to see a little of everything and even with all the traveling around it was stress free. Our guide was terrific and we would 1000% book again!

I can only recommend this tour! The guide was competent and helpful. The program, the accommodation and the food were excellent!
- by Dr. Michael KappesExcellent trip. Well planned and we got to see so many animals every day. Matthew was an excellent guide and kept things organized and moving. Busy days but well worth it to see the animals at Kruger National Park.

Unfortunately, my tour was not as full of expectations as the reviews here suggested. I booked the 4-Day Kruger National Park Big 5 Safari & Panorama Route Tour. It was agreed that I would be picked up personally by a driver at Kruger Park. On the day of my arrival, my flight was delayed and only arrived 3 hours later. I contacted Mzansi Experience to inform them that the driver should be informed about this. Here there were the first problems with the agency, I received a wrong telephone number from the driver(?) to contact him, and I only received delayed information on how to proceed. When I arrived at the airport, the driver was not in the reception area as indicated. I tried, more badly than right, to find a solution with Mzansi Experience. After half an hour without any help or solutions, I left the airport on my own, only to find that the driver had been waiting for me outside the airport the whole time. Mzansi Experience obviously doesn't want their clients to be able to get in touch with Adventure Lodge, otherwise I can't explain the back and forth. I was also unable to do my afternoon game drive on day 1 due to the delay. The bad experience continues here: Because of my missed afternoon game drive I was offered a morning game drive for the last day, but I didn't want to take it. The morning game drive goes until 11am, but the pick-up and shuttle service picks me and all the other guests up at 11.30am. Unreasonable for me on my vacation and too much stress, which is why I didn't use the morning game drive. I also asked at the lodge whether it was possible to change the game drive times, but was told no, as this is linked to a full game drive at the same time. So I had no choice but to miss the morning drive. I asked Mzansi Experience for compensation or a small refund as I had not received some of the services I had booked. However, they blamed me and thought I should have used the Morning Game Drive. Pretty much eat or die. I think that's a shame, because we're talking about a small amount of money (is it so necessary to insist to keep?) that obviously can't be refunded for customer hapyness. According to information from the lodge and their direct prices, Mzansi Experience takes over 1/3 of the fees for itself. Next time I will therefore book directly and avoid problems such as delayed indirect communication and prepaid services that I cannot use at the end.

The trip was so well organised! Our guide Taariq was the funniest person ever!! But also super helpful and went out of his way to take us where we needed to go. He is truly great at his job and a decent human being. Would 100% recommend the 11 day garden route/kruger tour. Saw so many beautiful places and met incredible people.
- by Georgia RaeFrom booking to accommodations, to transportation, to meals, and adventure, it was a phenomenal trip! I knew what was happening and felt very cared for.
