Crete Tour Companies

Overall, Mrs Shimizu and I were very pleased with the experiences we had in Crete because of your arrangements. Also I want to thank you for accommodating me with rearranging shuttle service for me because of my delayed flight. There are three issues however that while not major would have made the activities schedule seamless. 1. It would have been nice to have a live personal contact or at least a phone call from a representative from TourRadar to ask if there were any last minute questions or concerns we may have had. 2. We should have had contact information in the event issues arose for all tour aoperators

Most of this trip worked well but it was difficult not to have contact numbers for the operators of each of the day tours. The transport for our final day, to a water park, did not come and Tour Rader has not replied to me about that. The trips to Spinalonga and Heraklion / Knossos were good with the same excellent guide. The trip to Chania was too long, we didn't get back to our hotel until after 9pm. The land-rover Safari was a most enjoyable day in the mountains with lots of interesting stops even though Zeus's Cave is closed. The all inclusive hotel was fit for purpose. Altogether a well priced trip.

Great experience. Team was always available to answer my questions or concerns. Enjoyed my stay in Crete and last minute I asked them to extend my day at the Hotel and change air tickets. All was done within 2 hours and they paid to secure booking before collecting payment from me. Will be back next year but Dot Travel will be top of my list. This was an ideal itinerary for me and George from the agency provided timely and superior communication and service during my planning. He responded to my requests and accommodated my every need. Unfortunately my plans changed last minute but will be using this agency and contacting George when I visit Greece again in the near future.

We met some great people Had a great guide. DEMITIOS The hike was very good. Crete is different to the other islands Have never seen so many rocks b4. I would do this tour again The remote beaches were lovely Demitros introduced us to so many different foods and local wines DONT THINK ABOUT IT. JUST DO IT

Amazing hiking tour with the most amazing bunch of people and the best guide Dimitris I have ever had. He made the experience for all of us extra special. The gorge and coastal hikes were sensational. I cant fault one minute of it. Memories I will cherish always.

This was my first Intrepid tour and I don't see myself traveling any other way! Our team leader, Georgia was amazing, I met people from across the world, and we got to see so many areas of Crete. I cherished each experience I had -- many of which would not have happened if I had traveled a different way

My husband and I were very impressed with this tour (Amazing Aegean). George (Yorgos) is organized, aware of clients’ needs and proud of his heritage. He managed to arrange stops on the tour that are not on the typical tourist agenda. He has sourced many contacts, so that his clients can experience the real Greece. Whether we were taking a cooking class in a private home or learning how to choose olive oil, wine or honey, his contacts made us feel welcome. We had time to enjoy each experience, while enjoying fabulous food. The small group van travel allowed us to visit sites in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition on this tour, Sylvia was the archeology/history guide on the trip. She is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and easygoing. She was a welcome asset to the trip and gave us a thorough education on each site. If you enjoy a moderately active tour with no stress, this is the way to see Greece.

I cannot say enough about how fabulous this tour was - it exceeded expectations in every way. George is a master at combining experiences in order to meet a wide array of cultural and personal interests. The itinerary was full enough to keep you interested and engaged all day, but not so rushed that you were not able to really absorb and enjoy each venue and activity. The food was absolutely amazing - at every meal we experienced new and different local dishes in charming and relaxed environments. George has so many local contacts and is clearly well respected in his profession that we felt like family being welcomed, as opposed to tourists. The small group environment allowed for in depth conversation, resulting in learning more about the culture and local environments than any other tour I have ever taken. It was an outstanding experience, and I am already looking into his other tours.

An excellent adventure! Our two guides, Dionysus and Constantine, were 100% on top of trip details, planned and carried out a wonderful excursion into Cretan life, nature, and history, and treated us to a feast of Cretan food at every opportunity. The hotels were varied and high quality, and we visited beautiful spots with few other tourists as well as the “can’t miss” old towns, museums, and archeological sites. A really special, memorable time. The guides knew an astounding amount of history and mythology!

We loved it! Great variety of sites and hotels. Dionysis gave us a colorful window into Greek life, and his driving on the narrow curvy roads was superb. Constantine knew SO much about the history and mythology and was fascinating to learn from. And they made sure we had a feast of Cretan food delights every day. Great hotels, food and adventures!

Probably the Zaros gorge walk, and the excellent group dynamics - a really good mix of people.
