Marie was great. Would recommend!
- by John David MathenyOur guide, Ned, was great. The hotel Meininger was clean and comfortable in a college dormitory way, but not very friendly. I asked to reduce the centrally controlled thermostat because I sleep better when it’s cooler, and they said no. The hallways are not air conditioned at all. The rooms get hot during the day and the air conditioning won’t stay on without the key in the slot. I’d rather pay a few dollars more and adjust the temperature to my own needs. The tour has lots of walking but it was enjoyable to see Milan’s highlights. Lake Como was gorgeous scenery, perfect weather, and we had enough time for a nice meal in Bellagio and a drink in Varenna. The train ride back to Milan was standing room only, and hot and stuffy, followed by a long wait in line at the taxi stand. I’d rate the tour guide higher than the accommodations. I suppose that the name of the tour agency (Italy on a Budget) should give a warning that all is not going to be first class.

It’s a perfect tour for senior folks, no rush with plenty time at each viewpoints. The routes are also excellent we enjoyed the trip very much since this was the first time for us to visit the Italian northern lakes and Dolomites area, a fantastic tour to give us a quick overview this beautiful area. Overall I rated this trip a five stars trip as some area could be improved such as the lodging but all hotels are at least 3 stars with private facilities. All hotel locations are very convenient.
- by Eugene ChengThe tour enabled us to see the amazing beauty of the Dolomites. There was a good balance between dramatic scenery and visits to historic towns. Our tour guide, Matilda, was lovely, very knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. Our driver was very considerate and careful...we were treated to heavy snowfall in the mountains! Hotels were very good. Would very much recommend the tour. As a solo traveler it was a great way to see the area.

The overall experience was very good! Turin is a beautiful city full of culture and history
- by debora deaneOverall this was a lovely holiday. The car and hotels were of a high standard. Some more information about how to use tolls would have been helpful. The hotel in Stresa was excellent and in a great location. The holiday at Lake Garda was lovely but not in a great location as it took much longer to get to Verona as we were a way up the west side of the lake. Overall other than the crowds of people everywhere it was a well organised and great holiday

The accommodation was excellent with superb food and service. The day trips were varied and interesting and the guides were knowledgeable and helpful. I made new friends and had a fantastic holiday.
- by Georgina WrightThe hotel was great, friendly service, yummy food and lots of it. The walks were great, the app worked well. Unfortunately, being a bit early in the season meant some of the walks were not available, we didn’t find out until trying to get to the start. The hotel thought they were open also. A couple of other walks would then give other options. Overall I really enjoyed it all.

Great value for money. Good tour guide. Excellent travel company. Some days the hiking was a bit light. Would have given it 5 stars if the hiking was every day. Also tourradar/intrepid could also consider providing a higher cost tour where we stay at different refuges every day. This will reduce the transportation constraints and time and increase the Dolomites amazing experience.
- by Narendra DevGreat itinerary-full days. Shame intrepid is changing the itinerary as the trip to the glacier and the Bernina express was a highlight indeed

The hiking trip to the Dolomites was fabulous. The itinerary for the week was well laid out. Our guide, Andy Hodges, was absolutely fantastic. The week before our group got there, there was significant snowfall in the areas we were to hike. Andy took the time and effort to make sure each of our hikes were safe and do-able. On our free day, he even hiked one of the routes to make sure we could do it and it was safe from avalanches. It was not, so from his experience and vast knowledge of the area, he was able to provide a better route foe the day. Andy's friendliness and energetic spirit was very contagious. I love the way he was able to provide easier alternatives to some of the longer hikes. The hike to Tre Time was incredible and was my absolute favorite of the week.
- by Jeri FaberIt’s very nice to have the transportation arranged between Venice and Dobbiaco. Since the weather is unpredictable, the guide, Andy, made the daily schedule flexible to fit the weather. It’s great.

Horrible experience. Only do this tour if you want a glorified Google maps and substandard hotels. No communication from the company, with their on the ground rep never responding to me. Staff from head office were rude. While this trip is self guided, we expected to receive things like recommendations and tips to really enjoy South Tyrol, but we didn't get that. Paid for a premium hotel package and got poor lodgings. In summary, never do a Eurohike tour (especially this one), unless you feel like paying alot of money for subpar lodgings, no planning, poor communication and a Google maps guide.
- by Daniel D'AngelaActually promising and beautiful tours. However, too many transfers. The royal stage from Levico Terme to Borgo Valsugana has unfortunately failed because the path is supposedly blocked. This could have been informed in advance and could grant a corresponding price estate. The replacement tour offered was very exhausting, in no way an adequate replacement and the orientation just annoying. With little wall, you could have created a GPX navigation here. The responsible persons were apparently too lazy for this. The firing around with DIN-A4 notes was a disaster. The spa was closed in the Locanda in Borgo designated as a wellness hotel, supposedly because of covid. But no one believes that because other spas were open. There was no discount here either. The Hotel Villa Ca'Sette does not offer coffee. Here the hint would make sense that it is best to stop in Bassano. A return transfer would have been easy to organize among the many participants, but was rejected by the agency on repeated inquiries. Overall, insufficient services for the required price. No Support on site.

Road Bike Tours Italy is amazing!!! My mom and I set out for a 5-day bike trip through the Italian Alps with guides Luca and Michela. From the moment we started planning the trip via email with the guides, they were accommodating, on top of it, informative and friendly. On the first day of the trip, Luca and Michela picked us up in their support van in a city 2 hours away from our base site (Bormio). The first thing we loved about Luca and Michela was their incredibly warm and bright personalities - we clicked with them right away and felt right at home with them in Bormio. Luca led us on on the bike through different Giro d'Italia routes each day, which were challenging and breathtaking, while Michela drove the support van behind us, taking awesome photos and providing us with everything we needed- snacks, water, changes of clothes, bike mechanics. Not only were they amazing bike guides, but amazing tour guides of the Alps region in general, full of historical and cultural knowledge and providing lots of laughter throughout the trip. Road Bike Tours Italy provided the most incredible cycling and cultural experience - we came away with not only amazing cycling memories, but also new dear friends Luca and Michela who we will be sure to bike again with!
- by Gabriela NighanMy daughter and I spent a wonderful week with Road Bike Tours Italy riding through the Italian Alps. Luca and Michela were exceptional partners and guides in facilitating the best riding experience we could have asked for. Their local knowledge of the area combined with their passion for cycling and attention to detail made it an unforgettable experience. I would recommend this Tour to anyone who loves cycling, food and Italian culture.

Itinerary and guide was very good. The supplied app was a bit clunky but once its rough edges had been understood it was ok. Organisation was excellent

To begin, I had a good time on this trek. The local guide was capable, funny, and experienced. What I didn’t like was that, by booking through Bucket List, I paid twice as much for the same trek as nearly everyone else on the trek who booked through other brokers or directly through Cairn. There was one other person of 11 of us who booked through Bucket List, and the only thing we got that others didn’t was a shared hotel room on the first and last day of the trek. According to the hotel receipt, that cost was just over $200 per night, or about $100 for each of us since we shared. That definitely didn’t justify an additional charge of over $1700 each more than what other people on the same trek paid. We assumed that, since it was 9 days and cost quite a bit more, we were getting something unique for our money. We didn’t. Food was not even provided on the first day or the last evening, so calling it a 9-day trek was an exaggeration. It was 7 days, like what everyone else signed up for at a much cheaper cost. Also, because we paid so much, we would have expected there to be more than one guide for 11 people. We had a very fast group and a normal-paced group among us. No matter what, one group didn’t have a guide because he couldn’t be in two places at once. This made navigating the sometimes precarious trails a little tricky. Overall, the trek was quite an adventure, but I feel very cheated by this company and do not recommend booking with them.
