The tour was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. Our guide was so knowledgeable and was interested in getting to know us. The chef (Chandolo) was brilliant - his food was amazing and he was also a really warm, welcoming person. The whole team worked great together and I would 100% recommend!

Very well organized, everything was well communicated on site. No water in the Boteti River, so no mokoro trip possible there: a village tour was offered as an alternative

We had a very nice safari. It was a nice variation of game drive, boatcruise, sunset cruise, flats of the saltpans, lodges, campsite with small tents, campsite with larger tent (room with bathroom), overnight under the stars on an outdoor matras without a tent, etc. Our driver/guide Shakes was super great. He took good care of us and we had very interesting conversations on the road. The food was also good. The only negative thing was that we didn't get a transfers at the start and the end of the safari. Little Roz asked us to go to the first lodge ourselves and the same at the end, which we had to pay for ourselves. And we didn't get the breakfast the last 2 days, so we had to pay for that as well But all together
- by Paulus E.A. Wichers SchreurWe had a wonderful time! Rocky, Jimmy, and Simba were excellent as drivers, guides, cooks, and problem solvers. We ate very well indeed. I will comment that the tour we took was quite different from the stated description of it. For example, we did not go to the salt pan. It seems that Rocky, the boss of the crew, received a different itinerary than what we thought we would be doing. How did that happen? The places we did go were terrific, and it was not until the second last day of the trip, that we realised the discrepancy. Rocky offered us a way to go to the salt pan, but for a couple of reasons, we declined that offer. Please note that I am not complaining about Rocky, Jimmy, and Simba. They followed the information they had received. I will also say that while we were accepting of the situation, some people could have reacted differently, and that would not have been fair to our crew. To summarise, we loved the trip! Credit to Rocky, Jimmy, and Simba for looking after us so well and sharing their beautiful country with us. Sincerely, Arthur George Busch

The group was amazing, we all got along really well and made great memories!
- by Limara CameronReally beat my expectations of what I originally thought the camping was going to be. Tents and equipment were good and the crew on the tour were fab! The food was unbelievable! Not what I was expecting. Trips / days were well organised and everyone was helpful. I would recommend adding a few must to the list interms of headtorch was a must, used every night. Currency, defiantly take pula and USD I had to use the ATM at times which wasnt what I wanted. Zimbabwe boarder crossing is more expensive for Brits $55 they prefer cash. Overall the whole experience was ace, the overland truck and crew were are on the road family! Would recommend this tour. 10 days camping was plenty for me though outing tents up and down. Great experience!!

Amazing place and service, everything was excellent! Our tour guide was super knowledgable and friendly and we were able to see so many different animals in our safari. And at nights the lodge was superb to wind down and with delicious food!
- by Costa ComamalaOverall this tour was a nice experience, with people friendliness and the marvel of the environment as the stars of the show. The camp experience is not on par with other camps I've been at that cost less money, if not for the food. I've felt a bit in danger at night, with animals roaming around. PROS - people have been super nice - James, my guide, was very knowledgeable and helpful with everything - the food was really good - there are many birds around the camp, which is great if you like to birdwatch - the helicopter ride was great, if a bit too short CONS - the tent was really small, with a bed that wouldn't fit me even though I'm average height - the bathrooms are not very clean. Being open, means there are many bugs there - the camp is quite dirty with cattle dung, and there are many farm animals roaming around (it was fine by me once I understood that they are roaming everywhere and they are people's main livelihood) - the transfers to get to the mokoro station and to Moremi are really long, 2 and 3.5 hours respectively - the bush walk was very short, would have loved to have had more time for it, maybe it should start one hour earlier

This trip was awesome ..the experiences were wonderful but, I cannot express how much this was also due to Brian and Jo Jo, who with their eagle eyes, amazing knowledge, brilliant cooking and desire to go above and beyond what was expected, ensured we had the best experience. I am looking forward to coming back and doing another trip. Well done Sunway you have 2 amazing and absolute gentlemen working for you.

The Absolute Africa 6 day safari was quite an adventure. My wife and I were, to be honest, a little daunted by the prospect of camping and bush camping but due to the efforts of guide Joe, driver Emmaus(EMI) and especially a very welcoming group of travellers, despite our ages of 61 and 66, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tents were durable and easy to erect, the sleeping mats reasonably comfortable and the briefings each night informative. Chobe NP and the Okavango Delta were clear highlights with game drives and cruises providing excellent opportunities to observe the abundant wildlife. The mokoro trips in the delta were an absolute highlight. Big 5 and ‘Pretty 5’ all spotted repeatedly. We believe there should have been more insight offered to the nature of the safari in terms of joining a group briefly who had already been travelling together for 50+ days and whilst it was made clear we would be helping with meals, packing etc. it was not clear in our package we would be actually shopping, cooking, cleaning the bus, packing, doing ‘security’ etc. and a cook would have been an important and welcome addition. To be fair to our crew the groups functioned really efficiently, we have heard that is not always the case. We also believe the group size was too large for best outcomes. In short, due to the personnel and the itinerary, it was a terrific and memorable safari.

I recently took a lovely private tour, and it was wonderful! Our group of amiable native guides and fantastic private driver made the journey great.
- by Leia OlsonATC 57 Day African Adventure We have just finished ATC 57 Day Cape Town to Nairobi overland trip, and though the staff on the ground for the most part were very good, the actual organisation of the trip certainly does not provide the best value or experience on the market. Parts of the trip were disorganised, very expensive comparative with other companies, meals paid for were not made available, suppliers used by ATC were slipshod in their attention to detail and expensive. Booking through On The Go Tours we were informed that there was no way that optional excursions could be paid for in advance, we were therefore surprised and annoyed to find that other travellers on our trip using a Dutch Agent had all major excursions included in the price. Itineraries supplied by different agents for the tour were slightly different and this caused confusion with at least one out of the three trip leaders we had, and meant last minute changes in plan. Changes in tour leaders, cooks and driver also meant meals paid for were not provided, and we actually had to pay for a meal at the ATC Nairobi campsite that was included in our package. The new tour leader indicated he would investigate this with the office but no further comment was provided by the tour leader or ATC. Campsites had been changed comparative to the itinerary supplied and due to not camping inside national park game viewing opportunities were lost. If using ATC ensure that any changes in itinerary do not affect the paid for activities. Equipment used especially on the first two parts of the trip were "well used" to say the least, and in my opinion the cooks knives on the final part were dangerous to use and unhygienic with handles falling apart. Optional tours with third party supplies were found to be 25% more expensive than other operators offering better value both at Victoria Falls and Swakopmund, which given the amount of business generated by the overland tours was disappointing to learn. If you use ATC I would strongly urge you to shop around at both these places. Tour teeshirts out of the four ordered from ATC recommended supplies two in Kampala and two in Vic falls, none were provided as agreed with the suppliers representative, which was very disappointing. We did go to all the places within the itinerary, and much of the trip was enjoyable, however, if we were to repeat this trip we would use alternative companies which offer similar itineraries. Do not be fooled by the cheap upfront price, by the time all optional extras are included it is certainly no cheaper than going with others who include these in the upfront price.
