Our top itinerary for seven days in Croatia

Day 1 & 2 - Zagreb - Welcome to Croatia’s capital – where river meets mountain and old meets new. For your first night out, head to one of Zagreb’s many trendy bars or beer halls.

Day 3 - Plitvice Lakes National Park- Spend the day exploring the terraced lakes, waterfalls, and hiking trails of Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Day 4 - Split - Enjoy a guided walk of Diocletian's Palace. Then opt to visit the famous Zlatni Rat beach on Bol, head to Trogir or the ancient ruined city of Solin, or experience the nightlife once the sun goes down.

Day 5 - Hvar - Take a morning ferry to Hvar. Once you arrive, head straight for the beach, visit the Hvar Fortress, or enjoy an island-hopping boat cruise that stops at secluded coves around the Pakleni Islands.

Day 6 & 7 - Dubrovnik - Get lost among the winding streets of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, walk the city’s historic walls, or hop on the cable car for a beautiful bird’s eye view from above.

Seven-day Croatia island hopping itinerary

Day 1 - Split to Stari Grad - Set sail from the Split harbour and have an easy first day cruising along cerulean seas on the way to Stari Grad, the beautiful cultured little town set on the north coast of Hvar Island. When you arrive in paradise, you can choose to join an excursion to a local wine farm.

Day 2 - Stari Grad to Hvar- Hop back in the azure waters of the Pakleni Islands for a swim that’ll have you feeling totally refreshed. Either relax on-board and do some sunbathing or go on an orientation walk of stunning Hvar. Here you’ll get to see the largest city square in Dalmatia and Hvar's impressive fortress.

Day 3 - Hvar to Mljet - Drop anchor in Mljet and spend the entire afternoon exploring the island at your leisure. The island is home to a large national park with pine forests and abundant nature surrounding two salt lakes.

Day 4 - Mljet to Dubrovnik - Explore some surviving renaissance architecture such as the Sponza Palace or partake in a Game of Thrones walking tour of the city and wander the perimeter wall.

Day 5 - Dubrovnik to Korcula - Arrive in the afternoon and have an orientation walk of the medieval Old Town, famous as the historic home of Venetian traveller Marco Polo! Enjoy happy hour on-board before making your way into the Old Town for food and drinks.

Day 6 - Korcula to Makarska - Join a guided walk to help you get your bearings and highlight the sights of this amazing destination set at the base of the Biokovo mountains. Check out the Riviera, get a massage, do a spot of shopping or just relax in one of the many cafes or bars.

Day 7 - Makarska to Omis to Split - Go on an orientation walk of the town of Omis, including a hike up to Fort Mirabella. The fortress was once used to defend the town, and as a hideout for pirates. Enjoy a delicious onboard lunch and swim stop en route to Split, arriving in the late afternoon.
