Dear Graham, Thank you for this review. We appreciate you bringing up those topics. We're glad you enjoyed accommodations, guides and transportation which were provided on the tour, this is something totally on us. We've taken you to best restaurants in each location where you were able to order from menu your preferred selections. Being a tour operator we have no control over foreign country denying your entry or closing its' border. What we have control over is to continue 27 days itinerary of 6 countries uninterrupted by providing alternative sightseeing with equal services for the 4 days planned for Turkmenistan. The difference in cost was refunded to you before end of your tour. The 40 minutes boat ride in Azerbaijan on Caspian Sea is noted in your original itinerary as "if weather permits", in your instance it was not possible due to low water levels, which we also have no control over.
