Haka Tours was born over a decade ago from the dreams of one man who wanted to reimagine how small group adventure tours were run. From the very first tour in June 2007 until now there’s been no looking back, and 12 years on we’re incredibly proud to be regarded as New Zealand’s leading small...

- Marie· September 5th, 2023Amazing Tour...it is such a great way to discover the Aotearoa snow without the hassle. As New Zealand snow resorts are smaller than what I am used to in Europe, this tour gives you those opportunities to hit different slopes every day and in the meantime see some of the sights along the way. Best way to do a snow holiday in New Zealand in my opinion.Show moreTrip date: August 2021
- HJHannah· September 1st, 2023Amazing tour guide and daily itinerary!Trip date: July 2023
- AAnnaSeibert· September 16th, 2019The easiest and most convenient way to explore the ski fields on the South Island! Great itinerary, group size is small, accommodation all clean and cosy (they all have drying rooms for boots), gear renting was easy and affordable. Would do it again!Trip date: September 2019
- Sean· September 7th, 2019This tour is a great way to explore the major snow fields that New Zealand has to offer. Haka Tours takes care of everything, from transportation to lift passes to several meals, so you do not have to worry about anything except getting as many turns in as possible. My tour guide/manager was Lizzie, who was very knowledgeable not just about the snow fields, but about New Zealand history and culture and about each town/city where we stayed, making our time even more enjoyable. I definitely recommend this trip for anyone who enjoys snowboarding/skiing but doesn't enjoy taking care of the logistics associated with it. Thank you Lizzie and Haka Tours for a wonderful snow experience.Show moreTrip date: July 2019
- KKim· August 30th, 2019A good tour to do, value for money.Trip date: August 2019
- WWendyLow· August 22nd, 2019Whilst the accommodation was generally ok, considering we paid a substantial premium for a private bedroom, I would expect to also get a private bathroom. Two of the the 4 lodges we had a shared bathroom. Breakfast was not good either, it would be better if someone was able to make a pot of porridge or eggs etc for the guests on the tour.Show moreTrip date: August 2019
- Garrad· August 21st, 2019Be careful about the accommodation. The Haka lodge was noisy, shared facilities only and not for someone who doesn't feel comfortable sharing with a large number of random peopleTrip date: July 2019
- Ddrmonibwatersgmailcom· August 20th, 2019Such a great way to snowboard in NZ, much easier than trying to organize all the logistics yourself and Lizzie was an amazing tour guide.Trip date: August 2019
- Emily· August 20th, 2019I had a great time but there were definitely some downfalls. 1. The bus was a tight fit. It was advertised as a 25 seater with no more than 16 attending but I counted only 19 seats in total. 2. Enroute to Mt Hutt the snow chains broke and there were no replacements in the vehicle. We missed half a day of snowboarding because of this. 3. The hot pools were advertised as part of the itinerary but we were only advised upon arrival that they weren't open and that we'd get a meal instead. 4. We received one meal in replacement of the Hot Pools but didn't receive the 1 dinner that was included as part of the itinerary, Jacinta advised that there wasn't a meal included on the itinerary which I've checked and confirmed that it WAS included as part of the 'Tour Inclusions'. 4. Jacinta although very lovely wasn't very firm and a number of people took advantage of her kindness to make her drop in to a number of shops during trips to and from the mountains, this delayed everyone else on the bus and should have been done in their own time. 5. Although advised to be ready at certain times, not one morning was everyone ready to go at the requested time. Jacinta again needed to be firm. 6. There was no orientation tour of the mountain as part of the 'inclusion'.Show moreTrip date: August 2019
- MMegan· August 20th, 2019Such a great tour, great mountains and a way to see a selection of mountains in a short time.Trip date: August 2019
