Could not recommend this trek tour enough. It is pricey compared to some other treks found in the Cusco region, but it is worth every penny. First of all, it is a one of a kind trek, following the old Inca path straight into Machu Pichu. Only a certain amount of people can do this trek everyday. Secondly, we didn’t have to worry about a thing on the trip. The porters are incredible men who carry all our things everyday without complaint, even up mountains. Our lunch sites and evening campsite were always set up and ready for our arrival each day. I honestly don’t know how the logistics runs so smoothly. I was expecting bland food everyday, but no, incredible meals given at breakfast, lunch and dinner. They literally carried a portable kitchen around with them. It was a great way to try new Peruvian foods. To be woken each morning by the porters with coca tea with a view over the Andes is something I will never forget. Willian, our guide made sure everything ran smoothly and ensured we were happy everyday. He gave incredible talks about the Incan history and you can really tell it came from his heart with the passion he explained it. Nilton also made sure we were always looked after too. One thing to note, if buying the Huanyna Pichu ticket, if the weather is bad you may need to chose between classic photo of Machu Pichu and the guided tour (included in your tour) or climbing that mountain (which is non refundable). This is not made clear on the when booking here. I was lucky to have been able to do both. I will remember this trip forever.

I would 100% recommend Trexperience for the Inca trail. We had the most unbelievable 4 days. It was made so special by the outstanding service provided by the guides, chefs and porters. Our guide Mario was brilliant, informative, funny and kept all of our spirits up the whole time. He knew lots of tips and tricks that got us ahead of other groups. The food was crazily good - 3 course meals in the middle of nowhere and they really catered to me as a vegetarian. Amazing tour group to go with, could not fault it!

Incredible experience. The trek was full of beautiful scenery and views. And the food was actually some of the best I had while visiting Peru!

Fantastic tour with high and lows on the tour that bring your group together helping one another through the challenges and making you feel like you’ve grown in the end. The history along the way makes the journey unforgettable! Our guide, Frank, was exceptionally knowledgeable and Maribel was an angel. My husband took ill on the second day and she helped him to the bottom and stayed with him throughout his challenges, and then brought him back to join the group at the end. What a great team! The porters were superb and worked exceptionally hard to ensure our journey was as smooth as possible.

Okay so Machu Picchu isn't terrible I just did that so more people might read what I have to say about the porters. Read other reviews about MP. So in generally the porters are treated really bad even if your company claims to be sustainable. They are usually given little clothes (maybe a uniform - thin trousers and top). They may only work 3 times a month and only get paid about 380 soles a trip. If any kit breaks they have to pay for it (even if you break it). They sleep in the mess tent together with no sleeping bags. Only get limited food I.e. soup. If they injur themselves then its not the companies problem. They have no long term help if they stop work. This is why the tip is important to them. I don't agree with this but until the companies can be held responsible its a little help which goes direct to the porters. Start asking companies what they do for the porters. I wanted to confront my company but our guide was scarred he would lose his job. Hence the post here.
