Are there any physical requirements for my tour?

All of Flashpacker Connect tours are challenging and often take place on rugged and isolated terrain. It is recommended that you are reasonably fit and healthy to fully enjoy your tour. Please consult your doctor if you are concerned with the altitude or your ability to trek through the Andes.

What do I pack for my tour?

The recommend packing list will be provided to you once you have booked your tour. If you wish to look at the packing list before booking, please ask your Travel Expert.

What type of accommodation will be used?

All accommodation for Flashpacker Connect tours is camping in tents. The tents are high-quality 4 man tents that sleep a maximum of 2 people per tent to ensure that everyone has enough room to sleep.

Do I need to bring a first aid kit?

No Flashpacker Connect has got you covered! Trekking in high altitude can be dangerous and because of this, your guides will always carry a proper first aid kit along with emergency oxygen for you to use if you feel unwell.

What if I have special dietary requirements?

All food provided on your tour will be local Peruvian style dishes to fully embrace your trip to Peru! Please notify your Travel Expert of any dietary requirements that you may have when booking your tour to ensure Flashpacker Connect can accommodate your request.

What altitudes can I expect?

You can expect to experience altitudes from 10,000 feet up to 17,000 feet. We recommend staying a few days in Cusco before your tour to adjust to the altitude, particularly if you are prone to altitude sickness. Please consult your doctor if you are concerned with the altitude.

Tipping is not included in your tour cost. While tipping is not required, it is a common practice in Latin America. If you feel your guide and crew went above and beyond to make your trip special, tipping would be greatly appreciated.

My wife, 2 adult sons and I booked this trip with FlashpackerConnect. The trip went off without a hitch and surpassed all of our expectations. Our guide David was excellent. He was with us during the whole trip and went above and beyond to ensure the trip went well. David is extremely knowledgeable and fun to be around. Try to get him if you can. I cant wait to plan another trip with this amazing staff and company!

I LOVE FLASHPACKER CONNECT. Both of our trips were very organized. You get for what you pay for, and more. Our tour guide for Machu, Alberto, was amazing. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgable. I enjoyed the small group size. Rainbow mountain was difficult but worth it! Could not recommend it enough. I look forward to booking with them for my trip to Patagonia in the future.

- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 9th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 9th, 2025, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with FlashpackerConnect. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and FlashpackerConnect will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "FlashpackerConnect" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of FlashpackerConnect. Please familiarize yourself with the FlashpackerConnect payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
