Tikal at dawn was mesmerising. Loved the tour along Rio Dulce around Livingston. It was so peaceful and beautiful.

We survived. Pros: Excellent, knowledgeable guide, Miguel. Well rounded tour of the country. Some fantastic “only in Guatemala “ experiences. Beautiful colors. Cons: 6-8 hours a day in a 12 person van built for 5’10” or shorter people. Horrendous traffic. Sitting for hours for road construction. There’s not a straight road in Guatemala. Up and down steep mountains with S curves, hairpin turns and over 1000 speed bumps.

The tour is a very complete overview of Guatemala. It is very fast paced but every day is a highlight. The main selling point of the tour is the excellent guide who is extremely knowledgeable on literally every aspect of Guatemalan and Mayan history and all aspects Guatemalan.

- For any tour departing before May 16th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 16th, 2025, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Explore!. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 75 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
