The activities were interesting and varied and Josef, the main guide, is certainly an interesting character and very knowledgeable. The fact that we could still see Manaus down the river left some feeling this wasn't as remote and 'authentic' as they had hoped, but for a short trip into what is nonetheless the heart of the Amazon Rainforest (complete with daily rain!) it was authentic enough and very enjoyable overall and good value for money IMO.Show moreTrip date: January 2025

Takuya· February 27th, 2023The tour was really amazing. The food, landscape. accommodation,, everything was pretty good and what I want to emphasize is the excellent tour guide. He has many knowledge about local people, colture, nature and history of Amazon. And his english is very good so I easily could understand his explanation. About the accomordation, you can buy beverage, beer, and Wi-fi. One thing you should take note is that blackout often happen. Nevertherless, we had a great time and would love to go back one day! The location we ended up was in Ipanema Amazon Lodge, which was several hours from Manaus (car, boat, van, boat). Google it if you are interested in what it is like. All transportation was arranged and food was also very good during the whole time. The lady who was cooking it was really amazing at it. In terms of activities, we spent a night in the jungle, did piranha fishing, caiman spotting, dolphin watching, couple forest walking etc. Accomodation was also very nice and comfortable. Obviously there are lots of insects everytwhere including the huts which is expected. The itinerary is great- guided jungle walks, camping, and boat rides/swimming. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and made the trip a lot of fun. Met some other great solo travelers as well.
