Frances· November 5th, 2024Guides pretty good - experts in their fields (Egyptology) though occasionally difficult to understand. Some days far too long especially Cairo day where the day tour contained numerous visits with the lunch break too late in the day. One guide during the Nile cruise moved away from the group and consequently the group were stranded at a temple. Luckily one tour member had wifi and was able to ring the tour coordinator for advice. The days were often very long and the attention from hawkers relentless. Advice and info from the Tour operators could have been better especially that some vendors required cash in Egyptian pounds only and that we needed to pay for most entries to temples, tombs etc and to bring cash for much tipping. Information on board the ship was very light with just an A4 piece of paper on the lobby notice board showing a brief overview of the day's timings. On the positive side, the education on Ancient Egypt, the cruising down the Nile, the drivers and vehicles, the visit to Nubian Village, the tombs, pyramids, Sphinx and the Cairo Museum were all highlights!Show moreTrip date: October 2024- kathryn· November 4th, 2024Some things were great, others not so good Pyramid and museum day was fantastic - great guide - totally amazing Cruise was generally good - just not enough relaxation Excursions to Temples - interesting but so crowded and you cannot go to anything without fighting your way through hawkers I wonder how long the paintings can survive without so many people and no protection... Flight back to Cairo was late in the night - in hindsight I would have flown out of Luxor to continue my journey Prepare yourself for crowds, dirt, rubbish, stray dogs and hawkers... contrasting with the awe of the sites!Show moreTrip date: October 2024

Trip date: October 2024 - JKJim· October 21st, 2024We were very happy with our round trip from Cairo Luxor/Aswan and back. All of the staff were great, super supportive and spoke perfect English. The timings of all meeting points were fine and the guides were always on time. We had a guide for the pyramids who was great and looked after us through the whole day. Our guide on the nile cruise was medhat labeeb who was with us for about 4 days. We was brilliant, support us with everything we needed. A couple of our gang got a little ill and he looked after them. The cruise and all the tour was great, loved all the temples, and historic sites. Shopping was challenging but Medhat gave us plenty of tips. Cruising on a river is very smooth and the 150-person capacity makes the experience much more humane and peaceable. The food was very good and service attentive. Cabin crew care consistent and friendly. Very happy with my holiday and I would absolutely use tourradar again. Only downside: money! A big issue in Egypt... They didn't specify the amount of tips to be given per person (yes, the agency asks for an amount per person to distribute to the staff themselves, and it's not a small amount...). The same goes for temple tickets, etc., which are not specified either... And of course in Egypt you're accosted at every street corner to tip and sell you something 10 times its price... The tour was well organized, punctual and there was some wiggle room as needed to allow additional time at some sites. We found the Egyptian people to be very friendly. I appreciated security measures at each tourism site. There are optional tours or hot air balloon ride (I'm afraid of heights and had no problem. Like floating on feathers.)
