When I did reach out to the operator upset on day 2, she was unkind and blamed me. This was a poor way to handle a solo female traveler in a foreign country. On day 3, she sent me an itinerary that was consistent and things went okay from there. Our new travel agent put together a good itinerary (together with us ) and took well care of us. I still don’t understand why we weren’t met by a guide at Baltra airport as scheduled. We waited for hours and succeeded to get the last bus out of there and by the ferry there were no more busses to Puerto Ayoro. We had to take a taxi and then get a hotel in Puerto Ayora. During the day we made numerous expensive phone calls to England to get in contact with our “tour operator “ but without success. First in the evening when we were out eating we were contacted.
