Everything was organized and efficient and we did not have to worry about a thing! - ENEdgar· October 9th, 2020We had an amazing 2 days of hiking the inka trail and exploring Macchu Picchu. We visited some local families on the first day and learned how they lived. Our tour guide Wilson was knowledgeable, friendly and very enthusiastic! The porters and chef were so professional. The food was the best we have tasted on our holiday! Everything was planned to perfection. I can't compliment Wilson enough on his work ethic and the work he does for the community! We stayed in a lovely hotel in Aques Calientes, it had comfortable beds, powerful showers and an excellent breakfast. Macchu Picchu was the highlight of our trip. The views are spectacular and will take your breathe away! The hike to the top of Macchu Picchu mountain was challenging but definitely worth it! It now makes all the sense in the world why everyone usually includes numerous accolades for their guide, cook and porters. Our experience was not different. Filio our guide was warm, knowledgeable, passionate and always making sure we were having a great experience. Gregorio, our cook made us some amazing meals and always had a nice surprise for us. The porters Aparicio and Rolando (father and son) always working so hard making sure everything was ready. We were happy to learn how the company truly cares and trains their associates and that if they are willing to learn that are provided opportunity to grow. Filio taught us the medicinal use of so many plants and transferred his pride and passion of the Inca culture. The trip was amazingly well coordinated. Every step was planned and occurred flawlessly. If you are looking for a shorter hiking trip that doesn’t require being in incredible shape this might be a good option for you. We originally were thinking to do the 4 day Inca trail. We are glad it didn’t work out for us and that we did this shorter/easier trek. It was just what we needed. We got a flavor of hiking and camping in the mountains, we got to see some amazing views, but the hike was manageable. This was the perfect option for our limited time in Peru. Alpaca tended to EVERY detail with excellence. Our guide, Angel, was simply the best and the Green Machine beyond impressive. From start to finish, we were well taken care of. It was an amazing experience and our guide was really informative and funny.
