Our tour guide Felipe was always there for us whenever we needed him and before we even knew we needed him. Our chef Alfredo prepared the most delicious meals for everyone. What really made my boyfriend and I so happy was the fact that our chef Alfredo made me vegan and gluten-free meals breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it was scrumptious! That right there is the GREEN MACHINE. Felipe and Alfredo always had a smile on their face day in day out, it made us happy just to see them. They really cater to your needs and are there for you. Every campsite we stayed at had the most stunning landscapes. A big plus was the pop-up toilets, talk about comfort at the campsite. The tents were of excellent quality and were clean everyday. Miguel was our guide during the Inca Trail and between him, our incredible chef Segundino and all the Chaskis that supported the tour we have a memorable experience. The kindness and warmth of the team and the beautiful views make it a trip to repeat in the future. My wife wants to go back as soon as possible to repeat the great time we had. She can't wait to do another tour with Alpaca Expeditions. The entire experience from start to finish was awesome and I can’t speak highly enough of the whole crew at Alpaca Expedition - the guide, the food, the organization, the gears ... Everything about the planning process was smooth even when we had to reschedule last minute because of flight delays. While on the hike, the porters and our guide, Javier, were very accommodating, educational, and hospitable, especially when my wife had gotten sick half way through the hike. Our tour guides, Javier and Toro, were so knowledgeable and willing to share so much more than the history of the Inca Trail. - CCCaesar· February 13th, 2021We used Alpaca expeditions in January 2020 to do the classic Inca Trail, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. The guides were knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The pace set for the walking days were manageable, and the food was the best we had in South America. Being gluten free, I was provided full meals and snacks at every opportunity, including gluten free cookies at tea time and a (freshly baked) gluten free cake on the last day.
