- LALisa· February 7th, 2020The Annapurna circuit trek with Intrepid was probably the best things I have done in my life. The guides were so nice, knowledgeable and well organised. The route we traveled was an amazing transect, starting on gentle paths through terraced fields abutting lowland forest, to steep tracks winding through precipitous gorge country, out into open pine woodlands in broad valleys, then into the alpine and eventually a landscape devoid of plants - just rock scree and massive mountains - mountains that take your breath away and change the way you see the world. Mountains that turn from an icy blue to a fiery orange with the first rays of sun. Giants that constantly loom over you and are worshiped by the the locals.
